  1. I don't think there are many requirements for this chat other then you got to be a Sox fan. It used to fill up quite a bit and hopefully it will be rocking this season!!!

  3. http://www.soxnet.net/soxnetchat.html There isn't a link on the message board yet for the chatroom.
  4. I only caught like the last half hour but I thought you did pretty good.
  5. Yeah, I would say we made out better than the Blue Jays, but Scott Eyre is turning into a halfway decent lefty out of the pen, and Kevin Beirne was 2-0 3.41 with the dodgers last year in 30 innings...so I am going to say that although we came out better than the Jays on the deal, we still lost some talent for Glover who has been mediocre so far. I think we should use Ginter more than Glover. Ginter was a damn good starting pitcher at Birmingham in 2000, and now he sucks as a reliever. We should be working with this guy a little more. The Beirne trade was for Wells. The Eyre deal was completely seperate. I know some like Eyre, but Glover is really good.
  6. I remember when he was with the Sox. He was with the Angels for a while too.
  7. Sweet..so spring training games are free to listen too?
  8. I wonder how Georgie Porgie reacts. Afterall he called out Jeter for staying up too late and Jeter isn't exactly a party guy.
  9. Tonight at 6 central time. Go to http://www.chisport.com You can email him at Kevin@chisport.com He posts here as Kevingrt or something along those lines. This is his first show, and I think he'll be doing it every Thursday at this time. Hope you enjoy
  10. We'll see... The only downside is that he really weakened the organization's weakest point by trading away Humberto Quintero. Quintero was very good defensively, but he would never of developed offensively. I liked Fernandez, but it was a small price to pay for a top infield prospect, that can leadoff for the Sox for many years. Plus, Fernandez had quite a few guys ahead of him in the organization.

    RIP Mr. Rogers.

I just don't think the Sox actually believe many of there games will sell out. The Cubs believe and know there games will sell out or at least a lot of them will.
  13. He wasn't well liked, but it was blown out of proportion. He got screwed around by them. He played great his first year, then they started moving him all over and he fell into a funk and asked to be dealt.
  14. I think at least one of them is, maybe two.

What a great move by the Bears. This is a big time statement that they aren't going to settle for mediocrity cause thats what Miller is, mediocre. http://www.nflfans.com/bears/article.php?s...030226121658222 http://www.nflfans.com/bears/article.php?s...030226134139345 Theres two articles on the moves

I know Mario and boy will they be pissed when they see just how lazy I really am.
  18. Rogers and Finley are the only two I'm interested in. I don't think anyone wants Finley simply because they lose a draft pick.

He's way better then Liefer. This is a guy that produced for the Red Sox and will produce for us. He provides left handed power, can play the outfield or first and really will be a great asset to this club.

He's an older prospect that has played at the lower levels so long. I don't count on a thing from him, but plenty will get mad at me for these remarks. This guy is nothing special other then a career minor leaguer, in my humble opinion. Now he could be a late bloomer. hey jas.. assume the position..............(whack)............ Lol... If I recall Eckstein was sucessful most of his time in the minors. Aaron Miles wasn't, so far he's had one good year out of 5 or so. Don't quote me on the exact number of years.

Was Scioscia hired in 2000 or 99? I can't remember, otherwise its Torre and Manuel.
  22. Maggs will win a batting title, I know that much and he'll likely win an MVP. Hopefully all is done with the White Sox en route to some World Series Championships. Its good to know Maggs is working his butt off, practicing with the University of Miami football team and really getting into shape.
  23. Welcome aboard Nick. Your right, everything is amplified when a team is losing, at least in terms of chemistry and whats going wrong. I think the hip problem is going to effect Konerko, but so far he seems to be doing alright. I'm not sure on this, but I don't think this is the same thing Albert Belle had. If it is the same thing he had, then I do think the Sox should be worried in regards to long term contracts if you don't know how healthy he is. What i do know is that PK is a great player who keeps getting better. He's got a great attitude and plays hard every day.
