  1. Well, I'll be down there next week for a couple days and when I come back will be putting up a report on it.

He's an older prospect that has played at the lower levels so long. I don't count on a thing from him, but plenty will get mad at me for these remarks. This guy is nothing special other then a career minor leaguer, in my humble opinion. Now he could be a late bloomer.
  3. We'll never have popups.
  4. No Prob; Nice Article. I sure hope Rauch is the 5th.
  5. In the NL he's a great fit. Can hit or pitch. Not going to be great at either, but he's real solid off the bench and it allows the team to carry an extra player because instead of carrying two players for two roles, they could carry 2 for 3 roles.

Its just a temporary problem. Mario updated the site with the wrong page this morning, but all should be fixed once he's back. I'd be able to fix it, but I don't have an updated version of the main page, so I figure its best to wait until he's back.

I don't expect quite the numbers everyone else does. I see something like .250-.260 with 20-30 hr's and 70 rbi's or so. That being said, it wouldn't shock me to see .285, 30-35 hr's, 100 rbi's.
  9. BMG bought Napster just recently so I think its going to make a comeback of some sort. Oh ya, I definately use Kazaa. I burn so many free cd's. The only thing is, if its not a big cd, you sometimes get really crappy versions. Typically I'll support the smaller bands if I really like there cd, but screw the big people.
  10. I think Mario accidentally uploaded the wrong file. We should have it straightened out pretty quick.
  11. Abso-f*ckin'-lutely. If Garland keeps his ERA under 3.80-4.00, we run away with the division. Unless the Twins self-destruct, we aren't running away with anything. If the Sox hang in there to win it, it will be a long tough battle. If Wright and Garland pitch like the aces they will eventually be, then we could run away with the division and win the whole thing this year.

Hey Greg - Off Topic - How do you think Kansas is going to do come tourney time?
  13. I looked around, found a couple, but didn't know if they were keeper leagues.

  15. Did you archive it? I ended up falling asleep when I got home from work. If so, I'll check it out and then will tell ya.

  18. Thats cool Jim. Were all pulling for you here. As far as needles go, I know what you mean, I dread the days I have to go in for my physical when they draw blood. Glad to hear about the positive vibe. I've been feeling the same thing all off-season, but I seem to feel it every season. Best of luck and hopefully I'll get to see you pitch when I'm out there. It would be sweet if Kris started posting here. I think everyone here is rooting for all the Sox minor league guys to develop. Of course I'm rooting for that tall pitcher out of Santa Barbara
  19. Thats great to hear Jim. You having fun down there in Arizona? I just finalized my plans today, I'll be there March 6th till the 9th. I'm gonna make sure to say Hi to you
  20. That would be the time, to start it this year. Mark, gather all the info on it and we'll talk tonight or tomorrow.
  21. I'm loving the idea of hitting Caballo in the 2 hole. I think it could be one of the best moves Manuel has made in a long time. Carlos is quick, can produce and if his patience at the plate continues to improve will have a very high obp. Plus it means we have a left handed bat back in the lineup. Could you imagine if Carlos continued upon last years 2nd half success. He could have an obp over .400 in the 2 hole with Frank, Maggs, PK and Manos there to knock him in. THen if Jimenez developed into .380 or so this season (Possible, although he may round out more like .360) then we'd have a heck of a top of the lineup.

That was a really good article by Phil. I agree with most of the stuff he said. I think a lot of people will learn a whole lot about the White Sox and I'm referring to both those that don't follow them in the city and the national market. They will know who Maggs, Konerko, Buerhle, Garland, Wright and etc are. Hopefully they can put it all together.
