Whose a Worse Owner
Good thing I don't know much about Bill other then the draft pick thing and the fact that he doesn't let the fans watch the games on tv. I'm changing mine to Dollar Bill.

Lol, its all good. I understand everyone is going to run into problems with certain people, the key is to keep it calm when it happens instead of the huge blowups. When it comes to blowups, we'll leave it to Joebatters, RPS, and the Sox and Roll gang, they are great at those rants. :metal

Whose a Worse Owner
The Tribune, Jerry Reinsdorf (Sox) or Bill Wirtz(Not sure if I spelled that right)? I'm going with the Trib cause they actually have huge money and a fan base and still act cheap and when they don't they sign over paid vets.

Mike, you were in the same spot as me. I left for like half an hour then came back and saw at that time 48 responses and was like damn. The past is the past and were going to all have a blast here.

How Bout Ray Ray
I'm not saying he won't. With that kind of speed all you have to do is learn how to bunt and hit the ball on the ground and you'll hit .280 with ease.

I also think that Cubs fans are really getting sick of what they are seeing and if their was any shot of the Sox regaining the city of Chicago it would be now cause the cubs should stink next year and this season was just horrible. You couldn't even watch them play they were so embarassing.

How Bout Ray Ray
I'm with you on that. My big reason for this is that Manos isn't as good as Ray Ray and Jimenez is better at short. This would give us a much more lethal infield that is easily just as good defensively. Plus I don't think Harris is an everyday player, but he could prove me wrong. I do think Harris is a great guy to have and could turn into a Tony Womack type guy thats scrappy, fast, and can play many positions. Keep him here next year with him playing second, and center and if needed left.

ok who hit the wrong button again nm
No worries, we've hit enough wrong buttons for a while though, lol. Don't worry, I'm sure we'll end up making more mistakes down the road, lol

No wrong button this time. Just redirected it to the main forum that way more people see the baseball discussion. Always good to have more baseball talk, especially during the offseason

Hey guys, just moved the thread to the main board since it turned into baseball discussion. This way more people can see it and on the plus side, Foulkefan is going to get a huge welcoming party and end up reading a ton of baseball posts.

Look at the Angels. If we made the World Series and playoffs I could see things changing for us too. Ya I know the Angels haven't done that, but all of a sudden its their playoff tickets, not the Yankees that are the hottest MLB playoff ticket. 10 million on a guy that makes us an autmatic contender brings in over 10 million increased sales and could just turn this team back into the one that once dominated when it came to attendane. Now one guy won't be the only way to do it, but have him come in and start winning consistently and things will be solved. It isn't like its Oakland where they couldn't even sell out a playoff series.

Hi! I'm new here
Now if we could land Rich Rodriguez of the Angels, done deal. I'd do that straight up any day of the year cause he's that amazing. Other then that I'd try to add two arms to our bullpen for Foulke or use Foulke to land us a quality starter. A package of Foulke and Lee or Foulke and Manos could be pretty good at bringing in a good starter as well as clearing salary to make a splash on the free agent market as well.

How Bout Ray Ray
Here's a question, what if we bring Ray Ray back. I've heard him talk and he says he still loves playing in Chicago and would really like coming back and playing for the Sox and is definately open to the idea. The question is if is willing to come back at around Manos's price and we can find a taker for Manos why not make the move putting Jimenez at short. To me it would be a great move, just one the Sox wouldn't make.

I'd love Maddux or Clemens. Roger isn't a true ace anymore in my book, but he's still a gamer, in awesome shape, and can help our staff out a ton.

Those Damn Twinkies!
I'm going to make a new thread for this idea on Ray Ray so its easier to sort through stuff.

Welcome aboard, its great to keep seeing more and more people make the journey over here. It should be a fun off-season, especially cause we all know the Sox are going to land that ace pitcher, or at least #2 pitcher. I just hope it isn't another Todd Rithcie

Attendance problems
Your forgetting the best player on all of their teams and thats AJ Burnett and Javier Vazquez is also great.

The New Guys: Part Deux
I think Rauch just has so much poise and control that he's the type of pitcher that will have sucess in the majors from the get go. He will only get better but its guys that know how to pitch that don't get themselves into jams with walks, etc that will really make great starts. Then theirs guys like Kip and Garland who make mistakes that take a lot more time to develop.

Whatever happend in the past is just that. We are all Sox fans here talking Sox baseball so whatever your story was, make a new one if you want or whatever because the slate is clean here and were just going to all have fun as the site continues to grow as we get more awesome Sox fans here. :metal

WTF is Scoisia thinking?
I would of had Scott in too. Schoenweiss has done good and Spiez should of made the play. THe key all comes down to Weber. What a freakin bum. 2 walks with 2 outs and no on one. Thats what you get you dumbass. Then the ump sucked calling a strike on that 3-0 pitch to Eckstein. They would of had 1st and 2nd with nobody out. Oh well the Angels blew it and stranded a ton of runners.
