Crapola, that ball was mashed by Bernie, thank goodness Darin was there. Now come on Appier, one more out in this inning.

Is Jeter Mr. October now? He is pretty amazing. Come on Appier get out of this inning.

Hawks list of protected players.
I'm shocked we are keeping Propert. He's been around ever since I can remember as our "thug".

Yankees-Angels Thread
In case anyone wants to go on any rants. I mean it is post season baseball and those damn Yanks have got to lose. YESSS, Timmaayy hits a home run and its 1-0 Angels with two outs in the top of the first.

How can you say that about Keith. He barely blew a game as the closer with the exception of the start of this year. The guy was pretty much the best closer in the majors for two seasons.
-
Thank God
It should go the distance, imo.

How Bout Ray Ray
Humell is a guy I really like and think will pan out. The question is will he learn enough in Arizona to make it to the majors. Last spring Humell impressed, but Ray Ray was here and people pretty much had him pencilled in to start this season. Then he had his terrible AAA campaign. The question is what kind of a spring would he have to have to make it with the Sox.

Someone just posted, it was like a .29 era after June or July. Thats amazing. Those are numbers we shouldn't complain about, whether he's closing or setting up. The guy doesn't complain and flat out pitches and has a rubber arm(Knock on Wood). You can never have too many relievers, trust me on that. Look at the Yanks, Angels, Twins, and Mariners last year. They all have strong relief corps.

Ya, I don't have that kind of pressure. When I eat out, I just try to have sandwhiches or something not fried or red meat. I love burgers, I just cook them at home. So far its work, lost like 10 pounds of fat, so I'm right where I wnat to be to put on about 10 pounds of muscle mass. I figure when its all set and done right around 165-170.

Like I say our roster will fit great. Let Foulke stay here until the deadline where we then package him after we figure out that Almonte and Valentine can do it at the major league level. Then in 2 years look for Ring to be coming up as well.

How Bout Ray Ray
I hope harris or Hummel do get enough where they can take 2nd with jimenez at short.

I agree with you on that. It will never happen, but if I was one of those owners and I hear the trib is looking to buy, then I'd take advantage and sell sell sell. You could get peak dollar for it if they want it that bad.

How Bout Ray Ray
How can you guys even think that Ray's glove at 2nd is anywhere near as bad as Manos's at short. To me I'd rather have Ray's bat and glove over manos's with Jimenez at short. Will it happen, heck no, but maybe their is a guy out their we could sign cheaper as a free agent.

Don't worry I didn't. Marte is likely the closer which means we need one situational lefty, imo.

Sam Smith
Is he losing it. Eddie Robinson, Jamaal Crawford, and Marcus Fizer for Brian Grant? Why would we possible want him and his huge salary. Ya, I like Grant, but not at the expense of all of those players. Personally I am excited to see Erob play. We have some awesome depth now, and just need to see one other player turn into a star this year to help Rose out. We may just make hte playoffs, and no matter what we'll be fun to watch cause this team still has a long way to grow.

I've been working on getting cut. Got my weight down a bit, now its time to really lift. Since I did it I've eaten like a horse, just cut out eatin chips and the fried stuff and only have soda on Sundays during the Bear games. Its worked good cause my arm is back to 100% and now we'll see if I can get my velocity back to where it once was. Did you see where Wang just signed a deal with the Clips, now they just have to wait and see if the Mavs match it.

True, but whose to say the Cubs can't build screens to stop them from doing it. I think thats where it becomes ridiculous. If they own the land and it isn't god awful ugly then they aught to be able to build what they want for the Cubs. Just like JR should be able to do what he wants with the stadium on the most part.

I agree, bring in Maddux or Clemens, thats all we need big money wise. I'd like to see us add a lefthanded reliever, but even that isn't a guarantee cause we could live with keeping Porzio or Wunsch here, although I'd like better.

I can't blame them or being ticked. I'd hate to kno that they are making money of something you are spending it on. I mean the Cubs spend money on payroll maitenance and everything has and have every right to control who watches the games from Wrigley. I dont' think they'd have a problem with the rooftop owners if they were doing it for free, but those owners easily make their rent back during a season by selling the rooftop tickets and bbq's.

Exactly, he isn't afraid to spend money, but he is afraid to lose money. JR would be more then happy to put out a high payroll team if he was getting that money back. I've always defened JR to a point and still believe if I was in his shoes, I wouldn't just piss away 30 or 40 million a year just so the Sox could maybe compete. I mean just cause you spend 100 million doesn't instantly make you a World Series champ.

I'd say its money well spent. They can end up renting the appartments, out, or making something real cool and historic there and end up making money off of that. Heck, they could maybe even figure out a way to build a parking lot at wrigley.

Cuban pitcher Contreras defects
That was my first thought too Cerb. At 31 you really got to wonder about him, is he really 41? I geuss we have to wait till they get his birth cert and all that other stuff. After I get some info on him I can get a better read.

WTF is Scoisia thinking?
The key is the Angels lost that game. The Yanks didn't win it, if the Angels didn't leave all those countless men on things would of been a lot different. Scioscia did what he used to get him there.

Cuban pitcher Contreras defects
Wow, how old is he and do you have any info on him? If he's that good, I'd like to see the Sox for once make a run at one of these guys.
