QUOTE (Y2JImmy0 @ Apr 28, 2016 -> 10:35 AM) Haha I know. Leming told me a week ago that Rankins was the Bears guy. I asked Greg and he basically said I was nuts and he doesn't fit the scheme. As long as Rankings can be disruptive, I'd be on board. Ultimately, what do I know. Fox and Fangio have a proven track record and I have faith in them.
-
Greg Gabriel indicates he is hearing the Bears want Rankins. That is a name I really haven't heard around the Bears much. Kiper did pick him in his most recent mock. He's undersized but seems like he has the speed to get to the QB and disrupt.

In general, I hate hate hate the idea of trading up and love the idea of trading down (early in the draft) and than in later rounds I'd leverage those picks to get more guys I ultimately wanted. Basically as long as I thought I could move down and still get guys with similar grades, I'd do it all day long and accumulate the picks. I personally can not justify moving up to grab a RB, however, If the Bears view Bosa / Buckner as huge difference makers (vs. who will be there @ 11), than I could justify the move. That said, I hate the idea of giving up a pick and I presume to move up 3 spots in the 1st round you are talking a 3rd round pick plus something else, right)?

Bears have evidently had discussions with Browns to move up to #8 pick. I'd presume they would be targeting one of Bosa / Buckner / Ramsey. Pretty good chance at least one of those guys is there. Tunsill could potentially be there as well (and obviously Elliot too).

QUOTE (bmags @ Apr 27, 2016 -> 08:39 PM) Spoiler Wow...that is a surprise, right? I'd freaking love Jalen Ramsey. Impossible he falls, right?

QUOTE (Kalapse @ Apr 27, 2016 -> 08:44 PM) Yep, the man's clearly a clown. He's the last want guy I'd want managing Marcus Stroman, aside from maybe Dusty. Dusty gets a bad rap. He's an excellent manager. Tough on his guys, but a good manager. Prior and Wood's arms would have fallen off no matter the manager, imo. What Gibbons did tonight though, awful.

QUOTE (winninguglyin83 @ Apr 27, 2016 -> 08:26 PM) First time they've had 5 shutouts in first 22 games since 1973. That team had 6 -- and also started 16-6. Three starts by Wilbur Wood, two by Eddie Fisher and one by Stan Bahnsen. I won't say any more about how that team finished. My view...lets enjoy every single day we are in first. Never know when it ends, but after the past few seasons, this is just fantastic. April has brought me more joy out of the Sox than the previous 2 seasons combined. Keep it up boys!!!

QUOTE (WhiteSoxfan1986 @ Apr 27, 2016 -> 08:19 PM) Good to see a couple of more good defensive plays from Adam Eaton. His defense in right has been real impressive. Impressive has been an understatement. IT is the best RF defense I've ever seen over this sort of stretch from a Sox OF'er.

QUOTE (HickoryHuskers @ Apr 27, 2016 -> 10:14 AM) A desperate attempt to get a larger share of the women's vote. One that will work about as well as it did in 2008. lets not compare fiorina and palin. I would be perfectly comfortable with Carly as a president. I have zero comfort in Palin as a president. Of course what do I know, no one I'd vote for is even going to be nominated (but if Carly was on the ticket, yes, I'd be fine voting for her....either way, moot point..Trump is the guy).

QUOTE (StrangeSox @ Apr 27, 2016 -> 06:24 AM) I don't know why people would say he'd have a chance in the general election. He's probably the worst possible candidate you could have in the GE. At least Trump has the wildcard! factor and has tapped into a political stream not being addressed by others. Trump has a much better chance to win than Cruz. Cruz can only win the concentrated evangalist states (and even that he hasn't done so great against Trump).

Why the hell does Lady Stoneheart not exist in the tv show? I freaking am Mr. fan of the starks so I can never get enough starks (and snow). -
QUOTE (RockRaines @ Apr 26, 2016 -> 10:44 AM) For the Bears IMO its a bad pick since they already have a guy that is sufficient for their team. They have glaring holes in the secondary and at LB. I dont think Elliott makes it to them anyway. I think we all saw flashes from Langford, but in reality, there is a big difference between Langford and Elliot. Elliot is a potential superstar RB. Langford is not. For a team that plans to get off the bus running, there is value to having a potential superstar back plus a solid back. Gives team depth as well (which is critical). Most importantly, when you look at the likely available players, if elliot is there, he is just hands down (in my non expert opinion) better than the other options. Clearly if a stud pass rusher was there you'd have to look that direction. William Jackson is interesting, but didn't he have some off the field issues or am I confusing him with someone else (or an erroneous report)?

QUOTE (shipps @ Apr 26, 2016 -> 08:59 AM) If the Bears were really in love with the guy would they give enough reason to the guy or to the public so people walk away knowing the Bears want him? I would think they would lay really low in their love for whoever they want for so many reasons to ensure that they will be able to get the guy. It is just a smoke screen. The Bears love someone but its not Elliott. I think to a player it is pretty obvious the teams who really like a player and who don't. Don't forget the relationship the Bears coach has with Elliot as well.

http://www.goldenstateofmind.com/2016/4/25...warriors-game-4 Not new news, but this would make you believe he's out at least a minimum of 15 days, potentially longer, depending on the extent of the sprain.

QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Apr 25, 2016 -> 10:35 AM) Considering about 45% of people paid no federal income taxes? I'd say the other half of the country. Really, that many people paid no federal income taxes?

I hadn't seen anything official. I did hear that his teammates all know what the actual injury is, they are just waiting for MRI to confirm. Not sure if that is good or bad.

QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Apr 25, 2016 -> 10:19 AM) One of the Yahoo writers (I think Wetzel) scientifically debunked the whole theory and proved that the NFL had no idea what they were talking about. This ruling doesn't say that Brady is guilty, it just says the NFL has the right to suspend him per their labor agreement. Yep. Its pathetic.

QUOTE (Joshua Strong @ Apr 22, 2016 -> 02:47 AM) Before I had heart surgery a few years ago, me and my friends went downtown to hang out before I left for the operation. This was when I lived on Taylor and went to UIC. It was a group of like 15 and we went to Little Joe's for their karaoke night and everyone is having a good time. While I was getting a drink, my friend taps me on the shoulder and ask if it's cool if one of his friends from home can come out and I said sure. I expected it to be one of his guy friends but in walks his friend Hannah, who everyone knew I had a huge thing for, including her. While I'm far from being a social butterfly and not very sociable, I have no problem engaging with people but whenever I was around Hannah, I couldn't even open my mouth and when I did, I would say something that usually made no sense, before running away. I get my drink, get far away and wait my turn for the microphone. I guessed she noticed that I was avoiding her and she comes up and tells me that she heard about the operation and we strike up a conversation. I told her that I'm going to do a song and she says that she wants to sign up. She gives me her drink to to hold and tells the DJ what song she wants to do. It's my turn and I do Prince's Kiss. I see she's up next, so I give her the microphone and she looks at me funny. Her music starts playing and it's Little Red Corvette. Our conversation wasn't going anywhere before that but after that coincidence, me and her talked the whole night and exchanged numbers. We talked nonstop and about a month later she asked me out and we've been together since. So I guess I have Prince to thank for that. Prince was my one of my first concerts. He played during my first dance at wedding. And my mom and sisters, who are all lifelong dancers would take out a record player, throw on some Prince and dance through our house. I was even Prince for Halloween last year. Needless to say, I was pretty devastated by the news of Prince's death. Him and his music have always been a constant in my life. RIP Your Badness. Awesome story Josh.

QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Apr 25, 2016 -> 06:48 AM) This episode wasnt good or bad, it was just kind of a establishment of storylines episode. Here is where everyone is right now, here is what they are doing, and here is what they are planning on doing. Those episodes are usually a big let down, especially when you are waiting for 9 months The episode started off really good...but it was mainly just a "get things started" episode. Final half hour was pretty boring by and large (but they had to try and get all the various characters engaged again). I was fired up at Reek and Sansa's scene and than the beginning at Castle Black was interesting. Hell, anything at castle black is really good. -
Last night's game was so enjoyable. Just another reminder of why playoff hockey is top notch. Playoff OT is something that is just second to none.

Shack, did you check out the Volvo SUV at all? That think is supposed to be pretty sweet too (looks really nice...I've never been a Volvo guy but the stuff I've read on it is impressive). Either way, those Audi's are beautiful. Did you all consider the Q8 at all? Or prefer the smaller version?
-
QUOTE (bigruss22 @ Apr 21, 2016 -> 07:48 PM) Audi's been killing it lately, love their lineup. Next car will be a Q3 if I don't get a Tesla Model 3. I flipping love Audi. Easily my favorite car company.

Amazing how so many people have given up. Hawks have came back from behind before.

QUOTE (Y2JImmy0 @ Apr 21, 2016 -> 09:08 AM) Leonard Floyd and A"Shawn Robinson are the 2 guys I really don't want. I don't think Hargreaves is an option at all. Doesn't fit Fangio mold. I can't see them spending a 1st on a 5'10 CB. I agree he doesn't fit the regular "fit", but I think Hargreaves plays so physical and is so talented, that they look past it.
