  1. QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Oct 24, 2007 -> 06:11 PM) Now that would be a much better post. I also have no doubt that we will either get 4 more years of either the samething, or 4 years of "VAST RIGHT WING CONSPIRACY" after every time they get caught doing something wrong, or streching their power. Its not going to change. Ding.
  2. QUOTE(BigSqwert @ Oct 24, 2007 -> 06:09 PM) Insane. Which re-empahsizes the whole dumbing down of America thing.
  3. QUOTE(Texsox @ Oct 24, 2007 -> 03:54 PM) I look at his charitable contributions and think he's less hypocritical than a lot of people in the field. Where do you put Rudy G.? He's a douche too. I pretty much can't stand the entire field, on either side. It makes me sick.
  4. QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Oct 24, 2007 -> 04:13 PM) So, on this topic...while that Newsweek article is correct that it isn't at all the Bush Administration blocking the release of the Clinton era documents, the background about their stonewalling is that it's only possible thanks to legal battles being fought by the Bush Administration. That was from 2001. Just 2 weeks ago, portions of that order were overturned, but because there is no other procedure yet set in place, after the Bush Admin. threw out the old rules, right now everything appears to be in limbo. Some of us out there have been saying for a long time that everyone, not just the Democrats, would regret allowing the Bush administration to so dramatically expand Presidential powers in the past 7 years, because eventually, there was going to be another Democratic president. Here, you simply have one of the soon to be many cases of that. And you're naive enough to think that they are going to "turn back over" that power? Please.
  5. QUOTE(BigSqwert @ Oct 24, 2007 -> 03:44 PM) I just don't get the complete hatred you have for him. I'm by no means a fan of his but you make him out to be the worst human being on Earth. Because he is the biggest hypocrite of hypocrites (in both parties) in the presidential field. And I can't stand that trait.
  6. QUOTE(Texsox @ Oct 24, 2007 -> 03:40 PM) Kap, would you go over and chat with him? GMAB and take off the partisan glasses. Plus did you notice most of the quotes were from his wife? Would you send your wife and daughter over to the crazy gun toting neighbor who chases people away from his fence? There are better things to criticize him over. Yea, because I'm sure he's some nutjob wacked out Republican and all. GMAB. Edwards is a class pig. Period.
  7. QUOTE(Texsox @ Oct 24, 2007 -> 03:34 PM) On one hand you say she hasn't done anything, on the other you claim she was practically a co-President with Bill. I'm not a big Hillary fan, but I really don't see her allowing Bill to have much involvement. Look at the adjectives that Kap used, is that the kind of person that would win as President and then turn over the reigns to her husband? Again, I guess I'm not being clear. These two have a power trip and a need to soothe their egos. I think that element works hand in hand for both Mr. and Mrs. Bill Clinton.
  8. QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Oct 24, 2007 -> 03:04 PM) Wow. They have totally given the finger to the small budget fan. Soxfest used to be the one event that you didn't have to be rich to attend and have a chance at interacting with the players. It seems like even as a charity event, they are pricing the ordinary fans out of it. That's exactly what they are doing, and it stinks to high heaven.
  9. QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Oct 24, 2007 -> 03:17 PM) That's just it. She won't authorize the release of her records to see if what she is claiming she did in the White House is true or not. Instead all we have to go on is hearsay, and what her and Bill have to say. The records would clear that up really quickly. That won't happen until about January, 2013, if you know what I mean.
  10. Nice. "I thought he was supposed to be for the poor people but does he ever socialize with any poor people? He doesn't speak to me." This guy is the biggest fake in the field.
  11. QUOTE(BigSqwert @ Oct 24, 2007 -> 03:13 PM) I disagree and I'll tell you why. But first let me get back to this Jerry Springer episode. Uh huh.
  12. QUOTE(YASNY @ Oct 24, 2007 -> 03:09 PM) That's because you can't avoid that kind of stuff .... while watching the news! The dumbing down of America has been successful. Amen. For the information age, people as a whole are more stupid then ever before.
  13. I'm not saying it right, maybe. I don't mean to say that Hillary was president but I am meaning to say that these two have been clamouring for power ever since they left. This is the way to get back into the White House. Bill's not going to be the "First Husband". Come on now. I can't understand for the life of me what people see in this bimbo. Seriously. She's shrill, she's arrogant, she hasn't REALLY done a damn thing, she's running off her husband's credentials, and the Democrat structure is not even challenging her. Why? Why does she get a free pass on essentially everything? Oh sure, she gets the token "tough" questions about "why did you vote for Iraq" and all that s***, but at the end of the day, the woman is NEVER really challenged.
  14. QUOTE(BigSqwert @ Oct 24, 2007 -> 02:06 PM) Then the "real" candidates need to do a better job of inspiring 18-34 year olds to vote for them. ^^^^^^^^^^ That's the best thing you've ever said.
  15. QUOTE(Texsox @ Oct 24, 2007 -> 02:47 PM) So you think Hillary would just allow Bill to run the country, or was Hillary running the country back then? Both. I'm not kidding, either.
  16. It's a LOT different. The father-son thing is totally different then the same exact people running the country again.
  17. QUOTE(Texsox @ Oct 24, 2007 -> 02:31 PM) I wonder how this went for other Presidents. Other Presidents don't find a backdoor way BACK into the office 8 years later.
  18. QUOTE(BigSqwert @ Oct 24, 2007 -> 02:10 PM) Good. Maybe we can start sending our brave men and women home soon and let them solve their own problems. All hyperbole and other assorted crap aside, I sure hope so. I really hope that they are going to be able to stand up on their own soon.
  19. QUOTE(StrangeSox @ Oct 24, 2007 -> 12:08 PM) Those in government don't seem to grasp that. Not enough money? Don't bother cutting costs or increasing efficiency, just raise taxes! That's the solution to all of the county's/state's/country's problems! Hey, now we're getting somewhere.
  20. QUOTE(mr_genius @ Oct 24, 2007 -> 01:00 AM) Actually, tax cuts have increased government revenue through growth of the economy. Of course, if you spend a trillions of dollars to blow stuff up in Iraq, you will still end up with a deficit. However, the Iraq war will end and that spending will curtail. However, the Democrats plan to give everyone everything for free is an expense that they plan on keeping for the foreseeable future. So what exactly aren't you and other believers in the Democrats entitled too? Ok, free house, free food, free energy resources, free tuition, free health care, and free transportation is what is on the list now. What is next? I do think the government should help people who really need it. I am even in favor of free tuition and health care for truly poor people. But that is not the democrat plan, everything for free for everyone. government takes it all for you. Without the sarcastic tones - why is this true? Seriously, it's not far off.
  21. QUOTE(NorthSideSox72 @ Oct 23, 2007 -> 11:21 PM) I'd call it more just plain bad decision-making than ballsy. He should have known that would get out, and NY is not a given for Giuliani in a national election. Not real smart. Besides, I think choosing Colorado would have been smarter for him politically, if he was going to choose at all. It keeps him in NY's good graces, Massachusetts is a lost cause for him anyway (though I suppose NH isn't in the primary), and Colorado is a heavily contested state. And if this is why the candidate is picked, what a f***ed up country we live in.
  22. QUOTE(Rex Kicka** @ Oct 23, 2007 -> 06:28 PM) You know what, the "gay leaders" need to shut up. The singer is a dumb ass, but he's entitled to his views. Obama has never been strong on gay rights. He just isn't. Neither is Hillary either. But they are better for the community than the GOP alternative, so who cares if Obama has a gospel singer perform who thinks homosexuality is a choice? Nobody really. Just people wanting to outrage for the sake of outrage. OUTRAGEOUS! I agree.
  23. QUOTE(Rex Kicka** @ Oct 23, 2007 -> 06:13 PM) That would mean the US, China, Russia, France and Great Britain would have to give up the power they wield in the UN. Fat chance of that happening. It's psuedo power, IMO...
  24. QUOTE(BigSqwert @ Oct 23, 2007 -> 03:33 PM) In a worst case scenario, 6 billion jobs will be lost if the world is destroyed. I guess that's one way to look at it.
  25. QUOTE(GoSox05 @ Oct 23, 2007 -> 03:49 PM) Way to get into name calling. Maybe you can call me a poo-poo face too. That's name calling? You need grow a pair or whatever you want to call it. I'm sure you know the history behind that "name-calling" and why that is relevant to your post.
