  1. I agree... they'll get into it. We have to take advantage of this. Everyone EXPECTS them to win no matter what today, outside of us, I think.
  2. If we can just escape Papi's wrath one more day and get more runs then they do...
  3. SWEET! Ya'll are gonna have to keep us workers up on what's going on.
  4. QUOTE(jphat007 @ Oct 7, 2005 -> 08:23 PM) Fairly small K zone. That doesn't bode well for us. Especially on the road.
  5. I don't feel so good about this game now. Damn it prove me wrong.
  6. in fact, garcia better have his a++ game, or it's going to be a long ass day.
  7. QUOTE(longshot7 @ Oct 7, 2005 -> 08:13 PM) Who's nervous? That said, this isn't a cakewalk. These are the defending World Champs. me, for one. There's a lot on this game.
  8. ARGH. I really want to watch this. I think I'm going to go turn it on in the breakroom and wander down the hall every few minutes.
  9. I have to BUY to listen to the damn game? Does anyone have a way around this? This is flippin killing me.
  10. QUOTE(longshot7 @ Oct 7, 2005 -> 08:01 PM) There's one in mine. I have faith in Jon. I don't. Not tomorrow. Normally, I do. But not tomorrow. So let there NOT be a tomorrow, please?
  11. QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Oct 7, 2005 -> 07:42 PM) Better go wait by my phone for my invite Has hell frozen over yet?
  12. If Boston wins today (*IF*) it's going to a game 5 no doubt in my mind.
  13. QUOTE(Queen Prawn @ Oct 7, 2005 -> 03:04 PM) Oops...I had a tough last hour and made the mistake of saying that I am thinking about quitting to someone here (I have been thinking about it, different story). Well, CFO called my boss to talk to me to see what is wrong and what can be changed. I just told him about being slammed and such and there were several things that were sent to me that should not have been. I didn't talk to him about the serious doubts about this job for many reasons. Someday I will have a job I don't dread going to lol. I know the feeling... It's not bad here, it's just not what I want to do when I grow up. And that makes it difficult. Thank goodness this place is 100% better then the last place though.
  14. QUOTE(Stocking @ Oct 7, 2005 -> 05:42 PM) Thanks for the info, appreciate the support guys. GOOD LUCK! And when you get to 18, and the tough get going, kick that wall's ass. And then, when you get to 23, yell SOXTALK as loud as you can, which will make that last 5k SMOKE by.
  15. You know, just being there would be cool. Being stuck at work is NOT cool. Although I guess I could go turn on ESPN in the breakroom.
  16. Oh I understand it too. And I'd understand it better with about 10 beers. Classic. I need on the distribution so my last hour here I have something to do besides go stir crazy because I can't watch the game.
  17. ROTFLMAO sdlkhadfhlk asdfgkhl;adfh
  18. I'm sure the more liquid lunch you have the better the messages get.
  19. I've got a contact who can probably sort through the legalities of it all. Give us some time to research it. I think I see a loophole in the law, but I want to see if I'm reading it right.
  20. QUOTE(Stocking @ Oct 7, 2005 -> 03:28 PM) Running my first marathon sunday, was wondering if anyone else is or has? what should i expect in terms of transportation and meeting up with friends and family? I've ran one but not the Chicago marathon.
  21. Well, you can look at it another way... some of the pitchers on the roster openly say Boomer taught them some great things when he was here. So, is that worth it if we go on to win it all?
  22. QUOTE(aboz56 @ Oct 7, 2005 -> 03:19 AM) Don't worry, I'm already prepping my speech for Soxfest to totally rip into the Sox, whoever is on stage at the time, for the way they have handled these ticket situations. This is just awful. The fans, like myself, who attend games regularly during the regular season when I can (I live 5 hrs away) get totally screwed and brokers end up with all of the good seats. They sure will take your money for any series during the season when there's plenty of seats available. But hell, when its on the line and the real FANS want to go, the f***ing tickets aren't available. f***ing bulls*** if you ask me and I am going to let my feelings be known to Brooks or whoever else I need to embarass on stage. Aboz, this ain't the Sox doing this to you. It's way beyond that. Yes, they can go to other channels to release the tickets, but then again, no they can't. They're in a contract to sell through ticketmaster. So, with all due respect, save yourself the embarassment at soxfest when you're told it wasn't their fault.
