  1. Happy Birthday fellas! Happy 4th, everybody!
  2. Thanks Ryan. Can I get that website? Or, I'm looking for more on Robinson Cano and Mike Morse. If you can find 'em, great, if not, thanks anyways.
  3. Anyone have the slightest clue what pitches Cheing Ming Wang throws? The Yankee pitcher? I'm making him in MVP, and need a pitching repetoiure (sp?), and who he throws like... Any help?
  4. I'm baffled. Jeff Bajenaru is better than at least, quite possibly two relievers currently in the White Sox 'pen, yet he's still down at Charlotte. He's certainly better than Walker, and he's probably better than Vizcaino. If Baj came up here, I wouldn't expect domination, but I think he could give us an ERA around 4.00, which would be good enough for your sixth guy out of the 'pen.
  5. Win or lose, we still take at least four out of six on the road trip. You say that at the beginning of it, and I'm pretty sure most people would be extremely pleased. Just gotta go home and take care of business vs. Tampa and Oakland (again).
  6. QUOTE(chi-guy2 @ Jul 3, 2005 -> 09:33 PM) game over Thank you for providing so much insight in your 6+ months at this board.
  7. Jesus H look at that f***ing hole on the right side...
  8. QUOTE(fathom @ Jul 3, 2005 -> 09:24 PM) Would have been nice to get that run after the great hustle by Ozuna. Frank has got to do a better job of protecting when he has 2 strikes than he has been doing. GMAB. 2-0 you're taking all the way. The 2-1 pitch was barely a strike, and no one hits that Zito hook. Tip your cap and grab some bench.
  9. QUOTE(fathom @ Jul 3, 2005 -> 08:41 PM) Lately, almost every game in which we've played a lefty, he has been on the bench. -Pods didn't look particularly good at the plate last night. -It's a night game followed by a day game. -It's against one of the best lefties in the AL. -Everett needs time, too, he's been pretty good at the plate when he's been in. There's plenty of good reasons why Pods is on the bench today.
  10. I know about as much about it as you guys do... Here's where I saw the rumor. Link.
  11. Apparently, Sporting News Radio has said that the Sox are close to acquiring Schimdt. Just saw it over at BTF, thought I'd let you guys know.
  12. I'd leave Politte in. He threw five pitches last inning, but whatever. Go get 'em, Dustin.
  13. QUOTE(JimH @ Jul 3, 2005 -> 03:13 AM) That's what I'm talkin' about. Now let's pour it on. Bases loaded. Boo, go away, you're bad luck.
  14. Carl Everett is on the bench... Ozzie? EDIT: 'Bout damn time.
  15. Pods not walking = bad. Aside from the one AB to start off the game, I haven't seen him work the count like he was in April/early May.
  16. QUOTE(wsox08 @ Jul 3, 2005 -> 02:47 AM) How much is Crede making this year? I'd guess barely over league minimum (300K), but I'm not 100% positive on that. Alright Cliff, Neal, and Dustin -- we need you guys to get us six outs, without giving up a run. Get it done.
  17. T.I.M.O ™ ...proving day in, day out, that the saying is true -- This Idiot (truely does) Make Outs.
  18. That's beautiful, right there. Awesome job by Harris and Thomas.
  19. Excellent. I've been waiting for Harris/Podsednik to get on base all night. Get to second, it's Kendall behind homeplate. Come on Harris.
  20. QUOTE(WHarris1 @ Jul 3, 2005 -> 01:49 AM) PrOPS - 0.856 PrOPS+ - -0.097 PrOPS% - -13% Whatever that may mean Mean's his OPS should be higher. Ugh - loses the perfecto on a HBP I just looked it up myself, WH -- he's been extremely unlucky, according to them. That's a huge difference there, almost .100 OPS points... Wow.
  21. It seems like Pierzynski has had a lot of line-drive outs this year -- or, at least, more than anyone else on our team. I'm gonna have to check out his PrOPS (Predicted -- or it might be Projected OPS), 'cause Hardball Times factors in line-drive outs. EDIT: Should have said, to see if he's been lucky or unlucky.
  22. QUOTE(fathom @ Jul 3, 2005 -> 01:35 AM) I don't understand why we bat Harris 2nd, just cause he's taking the place of Iguchi. It's ridiculous to have two slap hitters batting 1st and 2nd in the order. Pods and Harris aren't the second coming of Pierre and Castillo. I think Ozzie likes that Harris (normally) sees a lot of pitches. First AB he saw at least 6 (full count), and I didn't see his second AB, but I don't think it was very good. And, who else should he stick there? Rowand is the only other option.
