I'll have to see it to believe it, but right now I don't think Kenny is stupid enough to trade away Reed for a rent-a-player. IMO Kenny has learned from his early mistakes (Todd Ritchie trade... :puke ).

Jose is just a little mentally messed up right now. IMO Coop and Ozzie could make a real difference with this kid. When his stuff is right, he is dominant. But overall, yeah, I'd rather have the proven Garcia.

For those of you comparing Reed to Harris and Rowand, you're nuts. For those of you that think at this moment, Reed is worth Garcia... Well - he's a rent-a-player, like Alomar and Everett last year. We didn't give up much to get them. Now, Rauch is still pitching very well at AAA - give them one or two lower-level prospects, and that should be enough to get a deal done. IMO it shouldn't take any of Diaz,Munoz,Honel,Reed,Borch,Sweeney,Anderson to get Garcia.

He's been clutch this year, numerous times, he's helped us WAY more than he's hurt us, yet you bash him. Like shuf said, he's a fifth starter. 6 1/3, four runs, it isn't great, but it's pretty good for a fifth starter. Problem is we only have four starters, so he's more like a fourth starter. Fit Freddy Garcia in between Buerhle/Loaiza and Garland/Schoeney and we have a solid rotation. Let's hope Arnie Munoz can get it done against the 'Expos on Saturday.
