Accept defeat? No my friend, not at all, not at all. Ozzie will not let that happen. Kenny Williams won't let that happen. Did you hear Ozzie after the game today? Tommorow our lineup is going to look very, very different. I expect to see: a.) Timo Perez in center. b.) Juan Uribe at THIRD. Valentin at least got a hit today, and I don't want to see Harris benched in favor of Crede. c.) Ross Gload at first. I sat through the same damn game that you did. I'm pissed off too. But you know what, get the f*** over it, my gosh. Is the Sox moping over two losses to Minny going to mwin the division? Hell no. Ozzie is going to make some changes, and he'll have whoever he feels best helps this team to win in the ballgame. s***. Yes, relax.

Well, last time I checked, the Twins lost the first series they played against us, around early may of last season. They scored a total of six runs in that series - eerily similar, ehh? Well maybe not, but you get my drift. Most times, one series doesn't make a season. Relax. Have a beer and relax.

Didn't we beat the crap out of the Twinkies last year at the beginning of the year? Where did that get us? Not that I like losing, especially to the Twins but come on guys, relax. We're obviously not hitting the ball one bit right now, we can all see that. I know you don't want to hear this but just r-e-l-a-x. Because you KNOW this team is going to get hot very soon, and we will hit the cover off the ball. Hopefully we can put three or four runs up for the Buerhle-mon, and at least take one from the Twins.
  4. Can someone tell me what happened with the following things (I didn't see the game): a.) Alomar bunting? (What was the situation, inning, etc.) b.) The 2 RBIs making it 3-2 Twinkies, and what I heard that the ump made a bad call on Marte...? Thanks. Sucks to lose, especially to the Twins. Let's hope our offense can WAKE THE f*** UP and hopefully E-Lo and Buerhle will dominate tommorow and Sunday.
  5. Maggs for Mulder? I didn't see this article anywhere else (if it is, please delete this mods): But, Just wanted to know what you guys thought of this trade? It probably wouldn't happen, the As wouldn't, most likely be able to resign Maggs, plus Mark Mulder IIRC is signed through next year. If it were on the table, though, I think I might take it. Mulder would give us three lefties in the rotation, as well as a proven starter who could step right in and be our number one. Not to mention how the Twinkies struggle against us, and the playoff experience Mulder brings. Ladewski then talks about the Sox should go after Beltran, which is also a pipdream (IMO). Then again, most of the article is a pipedream, and actually has a bit of Jay Mariotti flavor to it (odd trade possibilities), which isn't a good thing IMHO. What do you guys think?
  6. I'd like to know what the players do during this time, and how they feel if they got a win like this. Obviously, a win is a win, but it would be interesting to see what they do during such a long delay, and how they feel about the win...
  7. Cmon JReed8, even you know that a broken clock works twice a day.
  8. Agreed. The Good - He threw strikes, and he has three pitches that he can get over for strikes (like I said earlier), fastball, slider, change. He seems to have good command of the strikezone. Obviously, today he wasn't at his best. He left way, way too many pitches up in the zone. The Bad - A lot of bad today. Like I said up there, he left way too many pitches up. There is no way a changeup is going to be effective if it's up. Not going to happen. His stuff isn't overwhelming enough where he can get away with those types of mistakes. Overall - I thought I would see better 'pure stuff' from him. IMO, the slider was his best pitch. His fastball looked pretty straight. His changeup looked like a good pitch, it had some nice movement, except of course when it was up in the zone which happened on the majority of his homers given up. Of course, however, I want to see him get another start. I bet he was really, really nervous today, add to that the Os lineup isn't the easiest to go up against. I want to give him another chance. OT, I live about a half hour south of the Cell, and it is still POURING...
  9. That call sounded exactly like when, two years ago, when we were going up against the Cubs. We were down 8-0, came back and made it 8-7, and then Paully went deep. BTW, ESPN has just gone over the edge and pissed the f*** out of me. They had their top 10 "spinoffs" as they called them. What they meant was, a team that traded a guy who later became great. Some of the people they had on it were Priest Holmes (Ravens to success at Chiefs), Favre (Falcons to Packers), Dominek Hasek (Blackhawks to Sabres, though I really don't understand that one. Belfour was awesome at the time, it's a crapshoot on if guys turn out or not, and they were trading from a position of strength.) Well, getting to the point - then they had Sammy Sosa, and how the Sox traded him. The announcer was like "Man, I bet Sox fans wished that that move hadn't been made." Magglio Ordonez plays right field for US, right? ESPN, f*** you and :fyou .
  10. Alright guys, Im going downstairs, turning the internet off. We need three runs next inning. Come on guys... LETS GO!
  11. I know I shouldn't have, but I wanted Diaz to come up here today and really show something - just fool hitters. He wasn't terrible - he threw strikes, but he left one too many up in the zone. At Charlotte, and maybe even some of the teams in the bigs, you can get away with that. Not against a good hitting team like the Orioles though. Let's hope MJ can strap it down, and then our offense can WAKE THE f*** UP!!!!
  12. Funny, shuf, how you jump right in whenever something bad happens. Interesting.
  13. Another quick inning - come on guys, let's get Felix some runs. It's his first friggin start, put some runs up on the board, let's go!
  14. Felix has three pitches, or so it seems, that he can get over for strikes - change, fastball, and the slider. If he could develop a two-seamer..... damn. What do you guys think of Felix so far? To me, I haven't been blown away by his stuff, I was expecting better stuff, but I didn't think he could command the strikezone as well as he has been doing. What do you guys think?
  15. He's hit 92 on the gun, but when he hits 92 it seems like he's really reaching back and firing it. He's consistently at 89 and 90.
  16. Jose with a couple of ugly, UGLY, looking swings there... but the crooked number is up!
  17. Damnit, where was this in game one? Jon Garland is probably shaking his head and smiling...
  18. Prove me wrong Paully... Prove me wrong.
