I hope Felix fills out his body a little bit more, and adds a few more MPH to that fastball. I'm not saying speed is everything but it sure wouldn't hurt for him to have a 93 to 94 MPH fastball to add with his change. Problem with Diaz, IMO, is he just gets killed whenever he leaves any pitch up. What's Kenny's next move? Give Diaz another chance? Give Rauch a chance? Trade time? I'd like to make a move for Garcia, that would be sweet, but I wouldn't be against giving Rauch a shot. Damn - I just wanted Diaz to come up and dominate, like we see other people do. Oh well, hopefully he can fix his stuff and still become the pitcher we all had hoped he'd be.
-
Damnit... I really thought Felix was going to get out of it, and he leaves a cookie right on the heart of the plate. BTW, wsoxshuf, one of these days, one of these guys is going to suck in their first couple of debuts and just dominate after that, and I'm going to laugh my ass off at you. You, my friend, are the f'n joke.
-
Alright Felix, keep your team in the game. One inning at a time, buddy.
-
Me too. He's keeping the ball down, he's throwing strikes, but it seems the Indians can catch up with it. I'm going to give him a chance, though, he was probably warming up hard, then an hour and a half rain delay, that kind of blows. Add to that he's facing a very, very hot offense. Crede K.
-
Diaz is facing this team at the wrong time, they're smoking the ball right now, that doesn't help...
-
What's with a lot of people putting Rowand in their lineups? I thought we had this solved, Harris in center, Uribe at second, and Valentin at short. Also, why mess with a good thing? Keep Uribe in the one or two hole, he's smoking the ball, and until that stops, keep him there.
-
Yeah, no wonder we do so well in the Pythagorean Standings. When we lose, we only lose by a couple and we don't score, but when we win, we score a bunch of runs. lol. I'll be happy with whatever gets us to and beyond the playoffs.
-
I personally loved today's lineup. Im not saying that just because they slugged the hell out of the ball, but because it gets the people in the lineup who need to be in the lineup. (Harris, Uribe, Valentin mainly, and it removes Rowand).
-
Frank was arguing balls and strikes in his last AB.
-
What happened to Adkins, got out of the inning?
-
That a way, Buerhle-mon! One hell of a game.
-
What's Buerhle's pitch count? BTW, he is dealing right now. I want to say a nice stat about how Buerhle-mon is pitching but I don't want to 'you know what' him.
-
Keep up the woodwork boys!
-
Hawk just mentioned how Buerhle has done a great job the past two games of getting ahead in the count, first pitch strike and such, and I totally agree. That is the key to Buerhle's success IMO.
-
Let's really work their bullpen. Take pitches, get to the next pitcher, keep the line of Twinkie pitchers moving. Drain them.
-
Good point. Don't blame Ozzie for our lack of hitting these first two games. They should take it upon themselves and hit.
-
Even when Crede grounded out, he hit it hard with a nice short swing. Great job so far, boys. Let's go Buerhle-mon, shut them down!
-
Exactly. Nice to see Buerhle shut them down after we scored. Let's go get a couple of more and wear down their bullpen a bit, don't ya think?
-
Crede's swings in that AB were great, short, yet in a way, hard and aggressive. On an 0-2 pitch, I'm surprised how he was able to fight off Silva's sinker down and in. Crede earned that two run shot. That was a bomb. That a boy, Joe-Joe!
-
Me too. I think another change I would have liked to see is Gload at first. Konerko was just as bad as everyone else yesterday, and his ass should have been benched. I don't know why, but I'm giving Crede a bit more slack, just because he has usually (though hasn't hit well with RISP) come up clutch in big situations thus far.
-
It's good to see Valentin down in the lineup, splitting up the righties in our lineup. That needed to be done. This is the lineup I like. I hope we score major runs today to prove me right, but I'd take a win any way it comes against this team.
-
CF Harris 2B Uribe RF Ordonez DH Thomas LF Lee SS Valentin 1B Konerko 3B Crede C Alomar Harris in center, Konerko and Crede well down in the lineup. Hey, if that's what it takes to get this lineup going I'm all for it. If Crede and Konerko aren't embarassed enough to start hitting, well, Ozzie should just sit their asses and let them ride the friggin pine.
-
lol, Jackson has been our best righty (IMO) out of the pen this year, and you want to send him down? He gets out lefties, he gets out righties with his mean sinker. No, Jackson can't go down. I think that the person who's been of least use, if that makes any sense, should go down, and IMO, that guy has been Rowand.
-
I know this was talked about a while back, but what would it take to bring Delgado here? I think I might give them Konerko, Koch (To balance out the salaries), Borchard, Rauch, and Anderson. Then again, I don't know if Toronto would make that deal. If that was presented to me, though, I'd make it, but then again, Im not a GM. Thoughts?
-
Changes I want tommorow: An infield of Gload, Harris, Valentin, Uribe. (Sit Crede. That long swing doesn't do much for me at the moment.) An outfield of Ordonez, Perez, Lee. I might even put Rowand in for Mags, I'm sorry, swinging 3-0 is totally f***ing unacceptable. That probably angered me the most. Even if Rowand sucks, Mags needs to realize what he did there was totally the wrong thing to do. I'm all for yelling at Carlos Lee when it's warrented, but you know what, he's one of the few guys tonight that actually had a clue. He realized that he just wasn't hitting the ball tonight (I guess for awhile), so he layed down a beautiful bunt down the thirdbase line. He actually had some f***ing brains and said "You know what, I'm going to try something different." The same can't be said for Mags and Konerko. And after all that cursing, I need to cool down a bit. We're three games out, we can be two games out if we win tommorow. I think this team is going to hit the ball tommorow really well (don't ask why - I think they are going to come out fired up). I expect to see some of the "big boppers" out of the lineup.
