What a historic Wimbledon game that was.

Man Sammy Peralta has a hammer. Doesn't throw very hard but has a nice slurve. No wonder he's been dominating short season ball.

Abbott with a BOMB. Opposite field too.

He was in Birmingham for a game. Not sure if this is permanent or just temporary (I would think the former though as you said about the short season numbers).

Quinteiro 1-1, 2B, BB, RBI, R in his Kanny debut. Sosa just hit an RBI single.

Robert single up the middle on a 3-0 pitch.

Rutherford BB Sheets stays hot with a single.

Reed reminds me of last year's Moncada with all the K's looking he's had.

"The bust" with a hit.

A good hitter would've hit that pitch out.

Haha Cease and Eloy.

For two 17 year old lottery tickets.

I can understand Ricky not playing him when the Sox had to face a plethora of lefties at the time (and why some of us were baffled why he was called up because of that). Him not playing like yesterday for example against Fiers is what I have an issue with.

His eye/OBP (and to an extent his power when he does make contact) will always keep him above water in that aspect, but a few of us warned others here how he was going to be up here. He will never be a high average hitter. Hell, probably not even average.

It's unbelievable really. Usually catchers DH (and also catch on certain days) while they learn on the fly other aspects of their pitcher(s), signs, etc. at various times. I get the Sox/Ricky taking it slow with him (and with how McCann is swinging the bat, fine) but not even giving him Alonso at the time and Palka recently ABs is crazy. Not saying he's going to be anything even after that, but this 1 maybe 2 times a week thing isn't how you go about it.

Because those guys actually played regularly at one time. Usually bench guys are failed starters.

Bassitt doing a good job jamming Moncada inside twice now after two strikes.

That was Cordell.

Feels like a 13-0 type game.
