  1. "Carlos hasn't given up a baserunner. He may never!" Ugh Benetti...
  2. First AB at the big leagues. Being a bit anxious was likely.
  3. You guys got single, double, triple, home run, or walk for Eloy? there's no in between.
  4. Good for Alvarez. He'll definitely likely get a chance over there as Miami's team and farm are absolutely terrible. Plus, he's a Miami native.
  5. Or he gets HBP, we panic, then it rains and Soxtalk goes into a glass case of emotion.
  6. That's why they are gonna be a fun watch. Those kids are likely to be together there all year. Birmingham will have alot of moving parts with guys either moving up or guys from W-S getting promoted. I think Birmingham will be the team to watch the second half of the year.
  7. They rushed him to AA too but he held his own. Now this on the other hand is a whole different animal. Kid is really good though so it wouldn't shock me if he held his own in the show too. I'm just surprised they would burn a year (unless Preller decides to do what we did with Eloy).
  8. He was hitting like .150 a couple of games ago. He'll be fine.
  9. Preach. Also falls in line with the more OBP oriented approach for the hitters which is what I mentioned earlier. "So was bmags. Funny. But I'll say their philosophy has definitely changed under Hostetler focusing more on OBP oriented hitters (Collins, Burger, Walker, etc). High floor guys."
  10. Lol I just didn't even bother anymore. But I applaud SS for actually discussing the actual topic in this thread which was about the prospect (Sanchez) before it got changed.

  12. Eh.. I don't know about excited. But I'll say Eloy alone is making me feel a bit tingly inside at least. I'm more excited about the minor league season despite some of the injuries.
  13. I was literally about to say that you mentioned that in your post but it "somehow" was missed. But I'm not surprised considering the source.
  14. I remember Yolmer pretty much having the same description. If he can develop and become a future big leaguer like Yolmer did, then that's a win for the Sox. Anything else is just icing on the cake.
  15. Thanks for the updates @flavum They haven't gone unnoticed.
  16. Everybody talks about Alonso but I have a very good feeling Jay is going to be the whipping boy with posters this year.
  17. So... Twins or Sox for the division crown now?
