  1. Cole Beasley has been a much better fantasy option at this point all year. I benched him all but one game (last weeks where he was bad except for garbage time OT points) and he's been very good in PPR.
  2. QUOTE (Iwritecode @ Nov 4, 2016 -> 12:02 PM) I'd say the 2001 D-Backs/Yankees was much better. You had a team winning it's first title in franchise history against the Yankees when they were THE team to beat in MLB. They won it on a walk-off hit in game 7 against arguably the greatest closer in history. That's the one I was thinking of. Plus, the whole galore of the National tragedy (9/11) being in NY. It was an epic series. Schilling and Johnson put that whole team on their backs.
  3. QUOTE (Reddy @ Nov 4, 2016 -> 11:40 AM) You mean besides being the greatest World Series AND WS game ever played? (as long as you're looking at it objectively of course) Eh.. I don't know about the greatest World Series ever. You can definitely argue game 7 for WS game though.
  4. QUOTE (Iwritecode @ Nov 4, 2016 -> 11:36 AM) Stepping back and looking at the big picture, what exactly does this mean for the game of baseball? Sure it was a big moment for the Cubs and their fans but outside of them and maybe Sox and Indains fans, does anyone from the other 27 teams really care? I think for a lot of them it was just another WS they probably didn't pay much attention to. I'm assuming you don't have twitter. Hell, a simple Google search for other teams sites are congratulating Cubs fans. Youtube comments, etc.
  5. QUOTE (ChiSoxFanMike @ Nov 4, 2016 -> 10:22 AM) One of the greatest moments in the history of sports? Lol ok. It was one of the greatest moments ever for Cubs fans, but everyone else doesn't really give a crap. And you would be wrong.
  6. Whether your a Cubs fan or not, we all just witnessed something that none of our father's fathers (fathers and maybe another fathers depending on how young you are) witnessed. That in itself is pretty cool.
  7. QUOTE (pettie4sox @ Nov 2, 2016 -> 11:20 AM) why would the cubs riot if they lose? Yea I don't see it either. Its been more of a "Well.. theres always next year... but we'll actually win it cause our team is so young!.. Oh dude.. check out that chick with the tits over there. Lets go talk to her!!" vibes.
  8. Definitely calling off work tonight to watch this one. Game 7? 2 perennial losing franchises? 1 ending their drought? Uh.. yea I'm not missin that as a baseball fan in general.
  9. QUOTE (ChiSox_Sonix @ Nov 1, 2016 -> 10:11 AM) I'm doing well in this superflex league, but this is my regular starting lineup for this week: QB- Brady (bye) RB - Ware (probably hurt) RB - Coleman (probably hurt) WR - Brown (Big Ben is out) WR - Hopkins (Bye) TE - Pitta Flex - Dalton (Bye) And I can't even use my bench: Jeffery - Bye Howard - Bye Like I said, I'm doing well at 7-1, so it's fine, but this is the most absurd situation I've ever had a team in before. I think I'm going to drop my kicker to sign a WR but it's gonna be a bad week. Same here bro. My regular lineup.. QB - Rodgers RB - D. Johnson (bye) RB - Forte WR - Green (bye) WR - Montgomery (questionable) WR - Diggs TE - Gronk (bye) Flex - Howard (bye) Bench Thompson (bye) Coates (questionable) Enunwa Beasley Lewis (bye/hurt) Booker I just dropped my kicker (also on a bye week) for Ebron since I need a TE. I might get Beckham though, so that'll be nice for me. QUOTE (ChiliIrishHammock24 @ Nov 1, 2016 -> 07:06 PM) Someone in my league has McCoy, Anderson, Ware, and McKinnon. All of them injured. He said he would give me Mike Evans for Crowell if Ware's I jury is serious enough. I'm thinking that's a steal for me considering Crowell is my 3rd or 4th best RB after Elliot, Gordon, Murray, Montgomery, and Bernard. A guy is offering you a top 3 fantasy receiver for freaking Crowell and you "think" that's a steal?! That's a freakin robbery.
  10. Debating about awoling from work to watch this game. Just the history in itself is worth watching. Just don't know if I wanna miss out on money.
  11. He was definitely regarded as a future manager as a player. I actually really like this hire. Surprised its for AAA though. Sox brass must really love his leadership.
  12. Hopefully MCW is alright. The way he immediately grabbed his left knee was similar to DRose when he tore his ACL.
  13. I'm more shocked there's 0 turnovers next to his name. Not very Cutler-ish but we'll take it.
  14. Floyd also has been good. Hicks has the numbers, but they're double teaming Floyd cause of his speed.
  15. Dowell Loggins has been very good this game with his play calls.
  16. Gotta love how Hicks just stopped playing when a whistle didn't blow for a fumble. Then Washington with a dumb penalty after that.
  17. Really wish Howard had that homerun speed. That's a TD if a guy like Johnson, Elliott, etc. are running. Elite vision though.
  18. Craig Anderson's wife was diagnosed with cancer. Anderson comes back and posts a 37 save shutout and was names the #1 star of the game. Incredible.
  19. Chapman has to bat coming up too. That should be hilarious.
  20. QUOTE (Dam8610 @ Oct 30, 2016 -> 07:04 PM) Then they don't get Sale. Simple. Why on Earth would the White Sox help the Cubs? Why on earth would the Cubs trade a guy who is gonna win the MVP of the league?
  21. That ball is probably gone if it was any other night.
  22. QUOTE (gosoxtim8 @ Oct 29, 2016 -> 09:12 PM) i odnt he seems to hot heated and cocky to me Superior athleticism and a strong arm. Improving game caller, and he has a bat. He's a good young player. People said the same thing about Eaton. If you can play, you can play.
