  1. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Aug 16, 2014 -> 09:11 AM) Chris Sale has only been a member of the White Sox organization for his whole career, and spent about as much time in the minors as Gordon Beckham. Yea not one of Caulfield's best threads, although some people probably won't be surprised here.
  2. I'll never root for the Cubs so.. yes.
  3. QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Aug 12, 2014 -> 01:37 PM) Ozzie was ahead of the curve in that way, however, his problem is that Timo was the guy that got the bulk of the AB's. And Pierre.. and of course Mark Kotsay.
  4. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Aug 12, 2014 -> 12:55 AM) If the fans hated Dunn, I don't see them enjoying Alvarez much more. Except daa. He's loved Alvarez since his Vanderbilt days. I will admit I still remember when he was called the next Pujols and was a big time prospect.
  5. I wonder if bucket and/or Rock know. Although even if they did, I'm sure they probably have to keep it under wraps considering Hahn wants to explore it again in the off season.
  6. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Aug 12, 2014 -> 08:13 AM) Which will make it that much better when the Royals collapse and miss the playoffs. Again. What's up with you and your disgust for the Royals? It's almost as bad as Mike's (ss2k5) hate for Maggs or wite's love for Willie Bloomquist. I don't even think Greg hates them that much and he lives (or used to live) in the city.
  7. Kanny just pounding Lexington tonight. Brett Austin has 3 walks already. As far as the Knights, Mitchell and Wilkins having great nights. Oh... and Avi was hit by another pitch. In other news the sky is blue...
  8. QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Aug 11, 2014 -> 06:02 PM) Wow, Robin Williams. Possible suicide. Whoa.
  9. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Aug 11, 2014 -> 10:29 AM) I wonder if Bud Selig would try to bury it if it turns out to be Big Papi (one of the names)?? Ortiz was already busted though.
  10. QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Aug 11, 2014 -> 11:44 AM) Mo'ne Davis. Fastball is 70 MPH and she has a pretty sweet curve. That's crazy for any 13 year old. I hope she keeps playing baseball. She's getting a lot of attention too. Good for her and her family/friends. I wonder if she can pitch that windmill under hand like a softball pitcher as well. She is a converted outfielder and her arm is already better than Juan Pierres so..
  11. QUOTE (SoxPride18 @ Aug 11, 2014 -> 05:36 PM) DSL won today, and is now only 1 game under 500. They started off so horrible too. I thought they would suck again, which is common for our DSL team for years. They have really bounced back thanks to excellent pitching and some interesting hitting prospects down there.
  12. Best part if that milb article for me.
  13. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Aug 11, 2014 -> 04:35 PM) I'll let you decide. I'm 99.9999% sure know where this is gonna head.
  14. I think Trey will be similar to Rondon as far as not being overmatched once in A+. Some hitters just perform better when moved up a level so I'm banking/hoping the same with Trey.
  15. Those magic glasses haven't worn out yet!
  16. One of my personal favorite spects Guerrero pitching very well. 4 IP, 2 H, 1 R, 0 ER, 0 BB 5 SO.
  17. Abreu looking like the first half version with the sore foot lately.
  18. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Aug 10, 2014 -> 04:46 PM) Possible De Azaing Yes it was!
  19. Well at least this going to drop Danks FIP a bit...
  20. Our bullpen did well..
  21. QUOTE (fathom @ Aug 9, 2014 -> 10:29 PM) Conor's lack of range showing up already on the first play he's at 3rd. As I said last night, I wonder if his recent defensive play is making the Sox question his long-term role with the team. I still believe Davidson is the future, but he has got to show up next season or else Hahn probably goes in a different direction. I still really like Davidson. Part of that might be my man crush I developed for him in the futures game though
  22. QUOTE (fathom @ Aug 9, 2014 -> 09:47 PM) A strong .214 OBP for the leadoff hitter with a 43/5 K to walk ratio Its almost Ozzie like with the whole need for a speed guy that has to lead off no matter how bad he is. Brings me back to the Wise, Pierre, etc. days.
  23. And Beckham costs the sox a run.
  24. Never thought 4-5 years later I would actually hate watching Gordon Beckham play.
  25. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Aug 9, 2014 -> 09:05 PM) If I had to pick one, I'm going with Bryant. In person he just puts on a show. Agreed and I'm a big Soler fan. Both guys are by far my favorite prospects in their system and both will unfortunately be studs for the Cubs for years to come. Bryant is just a superstar type talent.
