  1. Food poisoning f***ing sucks.. that is all.
  2. Gonna get ready to drink with the Aussie (DBAH0) tonight! Should be interesting....
  3. Bellamy back in Birmingham I see.
  4. Terance Marin just keeps putting up the numbers. Won't over power anyone (although his slider is very good when he's on top of it) but damn he knows how to pitch. Undrafted kid (overlooked cause of his small stature) good movement on his fastball, gets alot of groundball outs, true competitor... Still only 22. (turns 23 in August... and he kinda looks like Kumar) Nice little reliever as a prospect.
  5. QUOTE (balfanman @ Jun 7, 2012 -> 09:37 AM) Johnson, IMO, would be more likely to provide a little more offense than Danks would I would think/hope Danks can put up better numbers than .164/.281/.323/.604 which is what Johnson has put up the last two years in the bigs as a bench player. He's the classic AAAA player.
  6. QUOTE (MexSoxFan#1 @ Jun 7, 2012 -> 07:51 AM) He did no such thing, how dare you It was a pretty sick crossover that's for sure.
  7. Man... Kevin Durant has a chance to win a ring at 23. Half their roster is 25 and younger. They went through 3 teams that Popovich put it best.. won 10 out of the last 13 NBA championships (has a chance to be 11 whoever wins the BOS/MIA series). We'll see what happens when certain guys get paid and good/awful trades, but they have a great chance to be a dynasty if all goes well. (certainly will be a top 3 team in the West for years, barring injury)
  8. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Jun 7, 2012 -> 06:25 AM) Stop the losing streak "Ace"! Alright, alright.... Peavy will pitch a gem. Sox will win. There happy?
  9. Can't believe Wilkins has a .818 OPS despite his struggles..
  10. More Beck (who was recommended by Kevin Burrell, Georgia scout) White Sox think they got a steal with Chris Beck at the second round.
  11. Given those choices, Ozzie for sure. He'd be a great wing man at a bar. Plus I'll never be bored talking with him (understand him or not).
  12. 7th Rd. - Jose Barraza - C - HS He is the 98th best prospect in California and the 472nd best prospect in America – per Baseball America. The only prospect in our top 10 picks I haven't seen much info about other than good arm and power potential. Beck showing Johnson some love.
  13. QUOTE (danman31 @ Jun 5, 2012 -> 10:29 PM) Ravelo is barely above .800 with his OPS. He's far from dominating. He should stay in Kanny all year. Agreed completely.
  14. Keep us updated Greedy. I know your one of the guys who has sources here.
  15. QUOTE (chw42 @ Jun 5, 2012 -> 10:30 PM) If the Bulls were healthy, they could have had Boston in 5 or 6. I wouldn't go that far. But this was an inexcusable game for the Heat, especially when Rondo and Pierce struggled. Just horribly out coached, no cohesiveness, and a very low b-ball i.q. late in games with a couple of the brightest stars on the planet.
  16. QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Jun 4, 2012 -> 04:56 PM) Oh please. Sorry, i'm choosing the MVP runner-up to the MVP. What a terrible opinion. FYI, Popovich agrees with you. He called Durant "The best player on the planet" right now.
  17. QUOTE (hi8is @ Jun 4, 2012 -> 10:32 PM) Barnum killing a ball in his junior year He was also swinging a wooden bat just before his 8th grade year! There's a youtube video of him hitting a homer off a wooden bat when he was in elementary school.
  18. QUOTE (Jake @ Jun 4, 2012 -> 10:43 PM) I'd say Smoral has inferior stuff to Hector. Hector has better fastball and more than one offspeed pitch. The only thing Smoral has is size and age, which may allow him to improve in those areas (I doubt the fastball gets better) Smoral's offspeed is already better than any of Santiago's secondary pitches and you just have to wait and see if an 18 year old can throw harder considering Hector didn't start throwing 95+ till he was moved to the bullpen (sitting at 90-94 just like Smoral). He didn't even have a screwball until his 2011 season since he threw a very "fringe" slider. Credit to him for adding another pitch, I don't see why Smoral can't either.
  19. QUOTE (Heads22 @ Jun 4, 2012 -> 10:29 PM) You don't make a draft decision based on Hector Santiago, Jose Quintana or the like. And I'd easily wager Smoral has better stuff than both those guys.
  20. QUOTE (thxfrthmmrs @ Jun 4, 2012 -> 10:09 PM) And Xander Boggaerts whom you didn't mention is probably their best prospect Enormous upside for sure, not having as good a year as those three however. Potential wise though.. you are right, he's the best and is younger.
