  1. Braulio Ortiz is flying under the radar. Sox like his arm, and he is now getting a chance to start. Still wild at times, but his slider/curve is very good. Wouldn't surprise me to see him take off and start getting on the radar on this board. And I'll admit Phegley is impressing me now. He started off very hot last year and cooled down considerably. He's actually maintaining his consistency this year after his, once again, hot start and is showing very good power.
  2. OT (and hungover), but I met Blackhawk prospects Brandon Pirri and Kevin Hayes last night at rush and division. (downtown at a food joint by Shenanagans) Really cool guys, both were shocked I knew who they were. (although I thought Kevin was originally Jimmy, crazy how much they look alike) Pirri said an "interesting" thing about Slavko (SoxFan1, he interviews them down there as his job) that I found hilarious.
  3. QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Jun 21, 2013 -> 12:46 AM) Kawhi is so deceptively strong. He'll improve his offensive game soon enough because of that strength and he'll be one of the elite defenders in the game. I love Jimmy but Kawhi is and will be better through out his career. He is also close to two years younger. Gonna be a good one to watch develop over the years. BTW, to my man J4L, LeBron has to catch Kobe first before you throw Jordan's name in a sentence son.
  4. QUOTE (chw42 @ Jun 16, 2013 -> 09:26 PM) Just gotta take one in Miami. Come on San Antonio, you can do it! This is definitely going seven games. BTW, I love this quote.
  5. Got up early after working a night shift to watch this? Yikes.

QUOTE (Chicago White Sox @ May 26, 2013 -> 07:52 PM) CS don't really matter much in the minors. Neither does SB. One of the more overrated stats in the minors.
  7. I'll be at the game (and the patio party ) so hoping for a win and no rain!!!
  8. Babcock is definitely outcoaching Q so far.
  9. I don't think Hawks or Wings fans would have it any other way. Let's give them a proper send off as they head East with a series win.

Jason Coats with his first professional home run yesterday. Congrats to him.
  11. QUOTE (Noonskadoodle @ May 11, 2013 -> 09:37 AM) Any Trouts or Strasburgs in next years draft? FWIW, next years draft is suppose to be pretty deep top end.
  12. I'll chill with the Phegley love until he has more at bats. Last season he started off hot too (in fact batted .352 in same number of games right now with a very high OPS) and then dramatically cooled down. He is a notorious quick starter. Has been even since his college days. I will say the power is very encouraging though. Around this time last season, he only had 1 homer.
  13. MARK PARENT YOU FAT BASTARD!
  14. QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ May 6, 2013 -> 04:18 PM) DJ said second career hr. Both game winners, knock on wood. The next Crede.
  15. QUOTE (BigEdWalsh @ May 6, 2013 -> 04:06 PM) Traded? I really hope Hahn isn't gonna be one of those GM's who is a "one year too late" type.
  16. QUOTE (SoxAce @ May 6, 2013 -> 12:27 PM) witesoxfan Nearly 4 hours later, still haven't changed my mind.
  17. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ May 6, 2013 -> 04:03 PM) It has been a while since I have seen a stretch like this. The defense and baseball IQ is way worse than the offense, IMO. Sad thing is, I remember Konerko last year saying in all his years playing in the majors this was the most oriented fundamental ST he's been apart of. Looks like that was a one and done year.
  18. QUOTE (fathom @ May 6, 2013 -> 01:48 PM) Not as long as the Marlins and Astros still exist. Depends how many players sox trade off too as well as prospects/young players they play. But Carlos Rodon would not be a bad consolation prize.
  19. QUOTE (witesoxfan @ May 6, 2013 -> 09:24 AM) Jeffrey Loria witesoxfan
  20. QUOTE (chw42 @ May 2, 2013 -> 01:34 AM) I asked the same question. Being from San Diego and all, why would he be a Sox fan? Why is the owner of this site a sox fan from Irvine, CA?
  21. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ May 1, 2013 -> 01:24 PM) ChiTribSports ‏@ChiTribSports 7m Hinrich expected to miss Game 6 http://trib.in/ZW1LjN I despise him, but even I can admit this team clearly needs him.
  22. Kane and Saad got their playoff mullets. https://twitter.com/carmelo_p/status/329045...0058624/photo/1

*slow clap* Guess the bday thread for posters are fading afterall. Anyways, happy big 3-0 to the creator.
  24. QUOTE (Chilihead90 @ Apr 15, 2013 -> 09:51 PM) I'll pick my same dark horses from last year.....Myles Jaye and Andy Wilkins, also, Spencer Arroyo for the hell of it. You didn't pick Jaye. You picked the same two guys this year. QUOTE (JoeCoolMan24 @ Apr 7, 2012 -> 12:55 AM) Spencer Arroyo, and my AAP Andy Wilkins. Back in your JoeCoolMan24 days.
