  1. Junior Spivey follows with a full count walk. 1st and 2nd, nobody out.
  2. Cotts in. Tony Gwynn Jr. leads off with a 1-2 single up the middle on a rolling breaking ball.
  3. I'll run with it for now. Everett whiffed, then Gload singled. Then Timo forced Gload at second 6-4 to end the top half of the 8th.
  4. QUOTE(CWSGuy406 @ Apr 2, 2005 -> 05:11 PM) For those watching the game, the Pope has died. RIP, Father... Iguchi got on first, I dunno how... (ottawa?) Walked on a full count pitch.
  5. Looks like you're ahead of me CWSGuy406. Do you want the honours?
  6. 6-4-3 double play to get out of the inning. Sox up in the top of the 8th.
  7. QUOTE(Jabroni @ Apr 2, 2005 -> 04:58 PM) Can someone else do play-by-play? I gotta go. Thanks and later... I've been sort of following. I think there are runners on the corners with 1 out in the bottom of the 7th. Politte just fanned Mcgruder for the out.
  8. QUOTE(Goldmember @ Apr 2, 2005 -> 12:40 AM) i wouldnt of personally admitted to shatner, myself... You got me on that one
  9. QUOTE(Jabroni @ Apr 2, 2005 -> 04:17 PM) I fear Garland when he has runners on. Contreras is even worse with runners on. He loses his head. Couldn't agree more. With that sinker of his, Garland should be breaking a lot of spirits with double play balls. I may be thick headed, but I still haven't given up hope he will 'get there'. I think Contreras is a lot futher away from handling a 'runners on' situation. Thanks for the PBP by the way.
  10. QUOTE(Jabroni @ Apr 2, 2005 -> 04:09 PM) Oh okay. I guess I missed where Garland did this exact same thing almost every start last season. :rolly I haven't been able to keep close tabs so far today (house detail ). Just curious - did he give up the long ball on a fastball to their most dangerous hitter with 2 on. Or did Carlos get under a sinker - oops - just heard it was a change-up. :headshake. Could there be any reason to throw anything in strike zone in that situation other than a sinker. Sheesh.
  11. QUOTE(El Piervizdyeguchansodnik @ Apr 1, 2005 -> 08:13 PM) Good news that he'll fully recover. Neil Young and Rush: The only good things to ever come out of Canada. Woah there! That's a little harsh for a summary of your neighbour eh. On the entertainer front, there's Jim Carrey, John Candy, Dan Aykroyd, Michael J. Fox, Pamela Anerson, Shania Twain and William Shatner for starters. For sports, there is Wayne Gretzky and I'll leave it at that for hockey. Would you take Gagne for our closer. Fergie Jenkins was not too bad, or Larry Walker for that matter. Hell even Pete Ward was one of the better 3rd basemen for the Sox. On a humanitarian and scientific front there was Norman Bethume, Sir Fredrick Banting and Alexander Graham Bell. Don't make me come down there. I got my dog sled parked out front! It's good thing Bob and Doug McKenzie live just down the road. Now I'll have to pay them a visit and drink about a dozen of our excellent brewskies to calm my nerves
  12. Changing the net dimensions is too much for me. Throws all previous records and accomplishments out of whack. I would rather see them take a step back and curb the equipment updates a little. Like that thing on the goalie's left hand which looks like it was designed to snare a speeding pit-bull. I'm sure goalies have gotten bigger over the years, but they take up too much of the net with the new equipment. Leg pads and chest protector included.
  13. You'd think it was April 1 or something.
  14. Here's one for YASNY. I am also a Blackhawk fan. Most days I browse around the internet looking for any new news flashes. Like (hold your breath now) the possible arrival of Ruutu in Norflolk. Today when I looked in the Blackhawk section of the Daily Herald I saw this: Friday, April 1, 2005 BLACKHAWKS NOTES Posted Saturday, December 30, 1899 • Printable version • E-mail story to friend © 2005 Daily Herald, Paddock Publications, Inc. Privacy Policy | AP Copyright Top | Home | Search | Feedback According to the Herald, it looks like it's been about 106 years since they had anything newsworthy happen to them. Even the Chisox won a pennant in that time frame. On a similar note I love the tear on your avatar.
  15. QUOTE(AddisonStSox @ Mar 31, 2005 -> 07:57 PM) Quite right brother. Having viddied your avatar for so long without having asked was making me rather bezoomy it was. Cheers droogy! Cheers droogy! Ahhhh the choodessny firegold
  16. QUOTE(AddisonStSox @ Mar 31, 2005 -> 06:08 PM) Ok, this has been driving me crazy. Is that Michael Bates from "A Clockwork Orange"? If so, that is one of my favorite movies of all time. I've like watched the ultraviolence many times my brothers. Oh so right my merry droog. I've considered it my favorite movie since it came out. I was a psychology student at University at the time and I loved it. Like receiving a social 'tolchok' to the 'yarbles' it was. I couldn't find a picture of him on the Internet, so I queued up the movie on me own 'tely' and captured me own digital image of him.
  17. QUOTE(BHAMBARONS @ Mar 31, 2005 -> 05:57 PM) Good come from behind win to leave Tucson. And great PBP. Much appreciated.
  18. Baj, then went 3-0 on Corey Sullivan, before getting a strike and then serving up a home run. 9-8. Then J. Owens hauls in the 27th out with a fine running catch in left. That's a White Sox Winner!
  19. Then Baj blew Viedro away on fastball, curve, fastball. 1 out to go.
  20. Jeff went from 0-2 to 3-2 and then induced a pop up that was dropped by Valido in foul territory, as Shnurstein got in the way. Then a fly to center. 1 away.
  21. QUOTE(doUrememberwhen @ Mar 31, 2005 -> 05:46 PM) what pos. is lane? I think he they had him at 2nd base. Baj coming in to nail it down.
  22. Chris Young, after a visit to the mound to the beleaguered Mr. Anderson, hits a screamer to the 3rd baseman. 3 out. Top on the 9th. Last chance for the Rockies. 9-7.
