I missed part of the Afghanistan debate, TPM says this: "Did Palin just get the name wrong of the top US General in Afghanistan?"

Biden is going off the charts on CNN when he talks about foreign policy. Palin barely moves.

On that nuclear question: It's such a broad, general comment. A nuclear Iran situation might be differant than a nuclear North Korea. There is no good answer in my opinion.

Palin tried to fight back on the Afghanistan surge idea. Approval didnt move an ounce.

QUOTE (mr_genius @ Oct 2, 2008 -> 08:56 PM) ok that nuclear arms answer made absolutely no sense what the hell is going on the question was kinda odd though too.

QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Oct 2, 2008 -> 08:50 PM) Biden started slow, but I think he's gotten a bit ahead now. It was a tie game earlier to me, but not anymore. foreign policy is his thing. and when it comes to the economy, all Palin says is reform.

QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Oct 2, 2008 -> 08:48 PM) Oh for f***'s sake. For the hundredth time, the reasons for the decrease in violence in Iraq was NOT the surge. It was mostly non-military, and about political changes that were made, partially by US efforts and partially by Iraqis. Militarily, the US DID make some nice moves to help things, under Patreaus. But it was not the surge - it was a change in tactics to be more police-like and community-based. I have said for a LONG time it's the cease fire that caused a decrease. It jsut HAPPENED to be around the same time as the surge.

QUOTE (Alpha Dog @ Oct 2, 2008 -> 05:12 PM) Can you honestly say that in any point in your life you gave two s***s about the VP before this? She shouldn't be expected to know everything. She hasn't had to deal with Washington politics all her life like Joe and John, and hasn't been running for president for 4 years like Obama. If you don't see improvement between now and election, then you can worry. And stop with the one heartbeat s***. McCain isn't dying, even the actuatries say he will make it thru the first term. A second term would be a bit touchier, but he isn't running for a second term, he is running for a first. Pelosi is 2 heartbeats away. I think I would f***ing move if she was ever in charge as the country would be totally f***ed. My point was that Lieberman basically said it doesnt matter if she has ANY presidential level knowledge or qualifications... it's all about if people like her. I believe the GOP has been attacking Obama for being an empty suit who people like for about a year now. But Palin is the golden goddess of the GOP.
