  1. CNN Uncommitted Live Poll: Afghanistan- Obama soared... McCain FLAT
  2. John, it IS true that you said we need to march into Iraq BEFORE Bush did. No John, you WONT get him. You just said you wouldnt attack him in Pakistan.
  3. Thank GOD! Obama's throwing out the rules.
  4. Oh this is great, McCain is basically saying if we know where Bin Laden, we wont attack. We'll wait for Pakistan to act.
  5. Hey John, Barack has NEVER said he'd declare a war with Pakistan. He just said MOMENTS before you opened your mouth that he'd take out Al Quada in Pakistan. I freaking dont care if Bin Laden is in Canada, go get the bastard.
  6. Let's see McCain try and say he wont hunt Bin Laden no matter where he is.
  7. QUOTE (Alpha Dog @ Oct 7, 2008 -> 07:59 PM) I don't think it was McCain that said iraq would be quick and easy, I think that was Chaney. McCain said Iraq would be very quick. A matter of a few months. and we'd be welcomed as liberators.
  8. QUOTE (CanOfCorn @ Oct 7, 2008 -> 07:58 PM) McCain takes a shot and connects... Obama recoils but then lands a fat one on the chin. Obama is VERY good at taking a hit then throwing it right back... but harder.
  9. QUOTE (CanOfCorn @ Oct 7, 2008 -> 07:54 PM) McCain...not funny. yea, his jokes are really bad tonight. No ape rape jokes though. So, that's good.
  10. "did we hear the size of the fine?" ohhh nice come back John.
  11. Obama is off the charts on CNN right now.
  12. By the way, I HATE this format. Let them go back and forth a little bit. Let one "correct" their record after it was falsely portrayed by the opponent. The town-hall is a great format, but they are cut short.
  13. FYI: CNN's Ohio Uncommitted Voters poll flat lines whenever McCain speaks.
  14. QUOTE (CanOfCorn @ Oct 7, 2008 -> 07:47 PM) McCain overusing "my friends..." that phrase drives me up a wall
  15. Obama's itching to slap McCain for his blatant lies.
  16. QUOTE (Soxbadger @ Oct 7, 2008 -> 08:28 PM) Its going to be like the Simpsons, everyone works in a nuclear plant. oh good lord. I dont want Homer running my plant.
  17. Just got home, did I miss anything?
  18. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Oct 7, 2008 -> 06:38 PM) Especially when you talk about the Coors field environment thrown in as another variable. No matter how big of a hitters park the Cell is, We've seen enough guys be "Coors field studs" that you have to worry about that when dealing with the Rockies. Just looked up Atkin's Home / Away stats for the last 3 years. Home: 891 AB 308 H .346 AVG 34 HR (1 HR ever 26 AB) 65 Doubles (1 double every 13.7 AB) Away: 927 AB 247 H .266 AVG 41 HR (1 HR every 22.6 AB) 50 Doubles (1 double every 18.54 AB) So, interesting. His slugging average goes up at home due to the doubles (spacious gaps at Coors), but he averages more homeruns on the road. He isnt horrible away from Coors. This would be his projected stats playing 162 games away from Coors: 600 AB 160 Hits 0.267 AVG 27 HR 32 Doubles These are actually close to Crede in 2006 (his best year as a member of the Sox)
  19. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Oct 7, 2008 -> 07:28 PM) I guess I need to start typing in Green Font too. ah. no big deal. You never know. You could have been legit. Some people have an Anderson hardon. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Oct 7, 2008 -> 07:28 PM) For 3B, Blake, then Beltre (I think think Beltre would be better, just too high a cost in talent to acquire), then Mora/Kouzmanoff/Atkins. Agreed. Man, it makes me so sad to say the Crede wont be at 3B next year. he had so much potential. Coudl have been a stable here for the next 10 years. But, he just cant hold up. I'd be very happy with Atkins. Is he for sale or a FA?
  20. QUOTE (kapkomet @ Oct 7, 2008 -> 06:36 PM) One's up front about it and one's doing it behind the scenes. It's all the same, though. Defened your statement. In what ways has Obama worked "behind the scenes"?
  21. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Oct 7, 2008 -> 07:47 AM) Brad Penny Juan Pierre Luis Castillo Casey Blake I agree on Richard Disagree on Anderson. He may be a better fielder, but as a hitter Juan is better and we need some contact hitters in this lineup. (PS: I dont want Juan on this team) If this were 2002, I'd take Castillo in a heartbeat. Heck, in 2002 I wanted us to go after him. He's on the back end of his career now. There is no way Uribe and Fields are better than Blake. He's no Crede from a few years back, but he's head and shoulder better than Uribe and Fields combined.
  22. 1B) Konerko 2B) TBD or Ramirez SS) Ramiraz or TBD 3B) TBD LF) Quinten CF) Swisher baring a major acquisition RF) Dye C) Piersynski DH) Thome Bold are players who are locks for their position.
  23. QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Oct 7, 2008 -> 03:37 PM) From everything I've been reading cell phone only users are still severely underrepresented in the polls. no doubt. that's why I added that part at the end of my post. I agree they are under represented.
  24. QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Oct 7, 2008 -> 03:35 PM) Do you counter balance the fear factor effect to the unpolled cell phone only users who tend to favor Obama? apparently many of the polls are starting to work cell phones into their polls. Not that it's as exact as land line, they are being used.
