QUOTE (bmags @ Oct 13, 2008 -> 11:17 AM) atta boy, MIZ. doesn't matter though, Missouri will be decided within 4%. I also think Mizu will be a "landslide" state. It wont be the decider state, it'll be part of the landslide. VA is the decider state to me. -

SurveyUSA: Obama +8 in Missouri -
So, it was OK for Bush to go unchecked for 6 years, but the moment the democrats are ready to take charge... oh crap! this is bad!

Obama Advertising in.... Video Games?

This is pretty funny, at a Palin rally yesterday, a man in the audience had a monkey doll with an Obama bumper sticker hat (yes, the black man is a monkey thing). When he realized he had been caught on camera, he quickly took off the "hat" and give the monkey to a child and ran away. CLASSY! Watch CBS Videos Online PS: my apologies if it plays a :30 commercial before the video. "This is Little Hussein"

By the way, McCain is now Robocalling Iowans saying McCain came running to Iowa to survey the damage while Obama and Congress took a vacation. And by the way, it's FEMA's job to help flood victims, not congress. I guess he forgot the part where he came to Iowa AGAINST the wishes of state officials who didn't want Obama or McCain's large entourages to interfere with flood relief.

well, this is a rather oddly worded prayer:

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Oct 10, 2008 -> 07:54 PM) Exactly my point. And the people we're now wondering if they'll have any problem with this...are the McCain/Bush 40% base. They may not be happy with the way the country's going, but if they're voting for McCain after this campaign, then finding additional corruption on the ticket isn't going to change a thing. ahh ok. I see where you were going with that now. Good point. SOrry, little slow here. lol

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Oct 10, 2008 -> 07:49 PM) All I ask is...how is this any different or worse than anything we've heard about the Bush Administration, none of which was judged to be firing offenses for anyone. THe problem is that in the Bush example, those that were in charge of determining firing offenses were placed there by... the Bush administration. The justice department is nothing but Bush cronies.

QUOTE (Soxbadger @ Oct 10, 2008 -> 07:42 PM) As for it not being against the law, I guess its against the "statute" but then laws are technically "statutes". I dont knwo how this all ties into ethic laws, but the way I see it is while it is within her power to fire this man for no reason, she fired him partially because of personal issues and that is the "abuse of power".

QUOTE (bmags @ Oct 10, 2008 -> 08:25 PM) The thing that I look at...GA went 16 for Bush in 2004, McCain's only up THREE!?!?! Most polls have McCain in the high single digits. I'd be willing to bet the differance between 16 and high single digits is a combination of the anti-Bush environment and the black vote. -
QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Oct 10, 2008 -> 08:05 PM) CNN article It could be a pretty big thing. Maybe. Could ice the election, because at this point, a few more points would do it. The two republicans on CNN say it's a nonissue because people are more worried about the economy and she broke no laws, therefore it's ok.

For the record, before anyone can try and crap all over this... this was a BI-PARTISAN committee comprised of mostly REPUBLICANS.

The Legislative Council in Alaska just voted 12-0 to release the Troopergate report, except for certain parts they consider confidential. That makes me think there isnt much damaging info in there. They would have gotten more resistance if it were so.

QUOTE (mr_genius @ Oct 10, 2008 -> 07:00 PM) oh i see, it's ok to imply all Muslims are terrorists because the eeevvilll republicans MAKE them do it. No, unfortunately we live in a society were many are PETRIFIED of Muslims. Some for religious reasons, some who think they are terrorists. Like it or not, that is a fact.

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Oct 10, 2008 -> 04:49 PM) Arab is a racial term, not a religious one. I know that. you know that. But I would bet to most Americans, if you mention "arab", the first thing that comes to mind is a turban, terrorists, and Islam.

Crowd Boos McCain for defending Obama: He probably should have added "he's a christian" since that is probably what she was implying, but I'll take it.

QUOTE (mr_genius @ Oct 10, 2008 -> 05:01 PM) Barack was never an ACORN community organizer. ACORN never hired Obama as a trainer, organizer, or any type of employee. ACORN was not part of Project Vote, the successful voter registration drive Barack ran in 1992 I miss him. -

Now, to be fair. I know NOTHING about Franken. I try not to follow the far left and right wackjobs. He might actually be a very intelligent guy. I think there are a lot of political commentators and comedians who might actually be very intelligent and capable of being a good politician. But, I'm not exactly willing to open that door. -

QUOTE (Cknolls @ Oct 10, 2008 -> 03:08 PM) Support us but do not run against us. Wow. Veteran NBC political commetator Chuck Todd recently revealed a secret about how Senate Democrats view Al Franken: I have had multiple very high level Democrats on the Hill sit there with their fingers crossed. They are scared of Franken winning. More importantly they fear that if Franken wins then every liberal Hollywood type is going to say 'hey I can run for office too...' and he's got a point.
