  1. QUOTE (Alpha Dog @ Oct 2, 2008 -> 08:57 PM) I would say that Joe won, :o
  2. CBS Instant Polls: Who Won? Biden - 46% Palin - 18% Tie - 36% Where They Knowledgeable? Biden - 98% Palin - 66%
  3. I think they sent in Palin to use the "looking back" line to start a new line of attack on Obama / Biden. I just saw a "spinner" bring it up again. It was a planned line in my opinion.
  4. QUOTE (GoSox05 @ Oct 2, 2008 -> 09:38 PM) Palin just goes in circles with answers and in the end you don't know what she is talking about. Yea, wasnt Biden the one who is long winded? Palin seemed to talk in circles but Biden was "short" and to the point.
  5. polls. where are the polls. I need polls! lol
  6. QUOTE (Steff @ Oct 2, 2008 -> 08:33 PM) Not a big deal, but not at all necessary. agreed on that
  7. QUOTE (Steff @ Oct 2, 2008 -> 08:29 PM) "I'm proud to be an American, always have been, and so has John McCain" uh... it's a lame veiled shot. Not that big of a deal to me.
  8. QUOTE (Steff @ Oct 2, 2008 -> 08:28 PM) Shot at Michelle. This woman is disgusting. what did she say. I turned on the Cubs game for a moment.
  9. oh good lord, is she calling for town halls with Biden?
  10. QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Oct 2, 2008 -> 08:26 PM) That probably does make her richer than Biden. Which frankly I could care less about, except that Palin keeps trying to act like poor folk. FYI: she owns 3 homes
  11. slow start, but Biden hammered her hard after about 30 minutes and get the win. I call it 60-40. She held her own only on the fact she tried her best to be "down to earth... you betch ya". Anderson Cooper said on CNN that she may have helped her base, but only time will tell on independents. But as a whole, this isnt a game changer. She wont draw the independents.
  12. QUOTE (Soxy @ Oct 2, 2008 -> 08:24 PM) She entirely missed the point of the last question. Entirely. I missed it. zzoned out for a moment.
  13. FYI: More people remember the end rather than the beginning. So, that's good for Obama / Biden
  14. QUOTE (Steff @ Oct 2, 2008 -> 08:21 PM) Yikes.. Joe's on fire. yea. He wasnt too confident in the beginning because of the whole sexism fear. But he got on his game ans is schooling her with specifics while she talks in generalities and "you betch ya" comments.
  15. QUOTE (GoSox05 @ Oct 2, 2008 -> 08:16 PM) Did they cover anything on the pro-choice / pro-life debate? not yet.
  16. QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Oct 2, 2008 -> 08:15 PM) And Biden drops the hammer. His best moment of the night. Palin / Cheney on the VP spot is frankly SCARY! For the love of God, I leared in GRADE SCHOOL he's in the executive branch. I have NEVER heard otherwise until Cheney declared himself a 4th branch and now Palin agrees. Clearly she doesnt know what the VP does.
  17. QUOTE (Athomeboy_2000 @ Oct 2, 2008 -> 08:14 PM) OMG! Palin didnt say the VP was part of the executive branch. I learned that in GRADE SCHOOL!!!!! She said it's a "flexible" position. She agrees with Cheney! Biden just schooled Cheney on what the constitution says about the VP.
  18. OMG! Palin didnt say the VP was part of the executive branch. I learned that in GRADE SCHOOL!!!!! She said it's a "flexible" position. She agrees with Cheney!
  19. QUOTE (CrimsonWeltall @ Oct 2, 2008 -> 08:11 PM) Aww shucks, say it ain't so, Joe. There you go again, doggone it. didn't he just school her on that looking back thing? huh... odd she'd want to bring that up again.
  20. QUOTE (Steff @ Oct 2, 2008 -> 08:09 PM) OMG. yea, very scary.
  21. QUOTE (Soxbadger @ Oct 2, 2008 -> 08:10 PM) Wow she puts that accent on real thick when shes on the defensive. That may work in Alaska, but to a national audience its going to play poorly. ohhh good catch. When she really tries to connect, the accent gets thick. When she talks policy, it goes away.
  22. QUOTE (Soxbadger @ Oct 2, 2008 -> 08:05 PM) Dear Governor Palin, John McCain was never involved in a war. Vietnam is considered a conflict, there is no such thing as the Vietnam War as war was never declared. Nor am I sure that historically America won that war... (Edit) She said General McClellan or at least thats what I heard. I recognized it immediately as I was like "that really cant be his name cause thats a famous civil war guy." McCain has said on the record that HE won the wars in Kosovo and Bosnia
