QUOTE (kjshoe04 @ Sep 3, 2008 -> 09:26 PM) Let's see what Palin can do here. The GOP is totally setting up a new "green screen challenge" with this crazy often mono-color screen behind the speakers.

Official: Palin's never issued an order to Alaska Guard

QUOTE (GoSox05 @ Sep 3, 2008 -> 09:14 PM) It was just the typical attacks on Obama but with a very sadastic laughing thing going on. They were joking about Obama being a community organizer. Rudy asked "what does that even mean?" I think it just shows how out of touch they are. Clearly Rudy never payed attention to the work done in the inner city of NY. Too worried about hookers downtown i guess.

QUOTE (GoSox05 @ Sep 3, 2008 -> 09:10 PM) What an arrogant speech by Rudy. what did he say?

QUOTE (FlaSoxxJim @ Sep 3, 2008 -> 09:08 PM) Yeah, but the ozone layer is thankful there is less Miss Clairol hairspray being used on the set now.

QUOTE (Heads22 @ Sep 3, 2008 -> 09:07 PM) Rudy is still an asshat. you say that as if you expected him to change over night.

QUOTE (FlaSoxxJim @ Sep 3, 2008 -> 08:56 PM) Presented totally without bias or comment, merely mild interest, Sarah Palin as local TV sports reporter Sarah Heath, circa 1988: God I miss 80s TV News sets.

QUOTE (GoSox05 @ Sep 3, 2008 -> 08:58 PM) What is the over/under on how many times Giuliani says "9/11" or "Ronald Reagan"? let me know. I just turned on the Food Network. More entertaining and factual.

QUOTE (Alpha Dog @ Sep 3, 2008 -> 08:41 PM) You realize that's kinda like saying you didn't lose 120 to 5, but 120 to 10. There were 1000 votes cast in her election, she got over half. There were how many thousands of votes cast in New Hampshire? And he got 638? Watching Olberdouche mention that was painful as well. He sooooooooo wanted to go off on a rant, and it was tearing him up! 15,704 in Florida, more than twice the ENTIRE city of Wasilla. What he said was a flat out lie.
-
By the way: Palin did NOT get more votes in Wasilla then Biden got in the primaries. According to the Anchorage Daily News archive, Sarah Palin won the 1996 Mayoral Seat of Wasilla by 617-413 against the incumbent. Biden got 638 in NH alone. Plus 694 in SC. 15,704 in Florida... yes more than twice the ENTIRE city of Wasilla.

Nice Huck... call the media elitist. That'll help prop up the POW / Sexiism Defense Shield. The media actually did a more thorough vetting of the VP than the campaign did. Dont get made at them for doing McCain's job. PS: Lest you think I am ripping on Huck, I actually liked him far better than McCain. Edit: He just implied that Democrats are all well-fare babies.

QUOTE (lostfan @ Sep 3, 2008 -> 07:17 PM) How so He said something to the effect that you never heard at the Dem convention a mention of radical islam... John McCain will defeat radical Islam. Not radical terrorists... radical Islam.

A Clinton supported, who now support mcCain, just said on CNN that she doesnt think a McCain presidency will overturn Roe v Wade. What part of McCain makes her think this? Him publicly saying RvW SHOULD be overturned? McCain saying he wants to clone conservative judges Alito and Roberts? McCain told Tim Russert he would support an amendment that BANS abortion. And she really thinks he wont try?

If tonight you hear Palin call out Washington for wastful spending or fighitng the "broken washington", remember this...

QUOTE (WCSox @ Sep 3, 2008 -> 05:14 PM) If Palin had an affair, it would've been disclosed already, as the info about her daughter's pregnancy was disclosed. They wouldn't let the Enquirer break the news on the eve of her speech. you can do your best to cover up an affair, but you cant cover up a pregnant teen ager. On a side note: this topic as seen enough discussion. I suggest we end it now before it goes too far.
-
QUOTE (WCSox @ Sep 3, 2008 -> 05:10 PM) I don't buy it either. If it were true, they probably wouldn't be in the process of suing the Enquirer right now. well of course you sue. It makes you look innocent. I'm not implying it's true, but celebs sue all the time over stories they dont like... until it's proven to be true.

QUOTE (jackie hayes @ Sep 3, 2008 -> 05:10 PM) It's not a very credible source, but I don't know about the "too soon" argument. It wouldn't take very long to track down her enemies and ask them to talk to you. you last point is well taken. Apparently they dispatched the "Edwards team" to Alaska this week. I should also add that they are taking credit for the Bristol story.

QUOTE (DukeNukeEm @ Sep 3, 2008 -> 04:54 PM) The National Enquirer is going to report that Sarah Palin had an affair.... This is funny. Well, they nailed Edwards. Or was it that Edwards nailed... oh never mind. But I dont buy it (literally and figuratively). Too soon for this to break.

QUOTE (Athomeboy_2000 @ Sep 3, 2008 -> 03:17 PM) It's Open Mic Day on MSNBC. WOW! (Some language here, so be careful) The voices are Mike Murphy (Republican political consultant) and Peggy Noonan with a little Chuck Todd. Here's the Full Transcript:

QUOTE (Rex Kicka** @ Sep 3, 2008 -> 04:00 PM) On the other hand, I'm willing to bet that for every Hillary turned McCain supporter based on the Palin pick, you're going to get a half-hearted Hillary Democrat volunteering for Obama and getting back involved. There was a report out of Ohio on Sat or Sunday that a democratic office was getting an influx of women supporters who were CONSIDERING McCain, but where so turned off by his gimmick they will now work for Obama.
