  1. McCain's ass is bruised after that speech. Somewhere at one of McCain's 7 homes, John McCain is rubbing his hiney.
  2. QUOTE (mr_genius @ Aug 26, 2008 -> 10:07 PM) I thought it was a good speech, especially to convince some angry Hillary voters to go with Obama. she nailed it. She could not have done any better in my opinion.
  3. If a great deal of her supports dont vote for Barack after this, they are either deaf, dumb, or ignorant. Or all 3.
  4. "With an agenda like that, it makes sense that George Bush and John McCain will be together next week in the Twin Cities. Because these days they're awfully hard to tell apart." I love that line!
  5. Hillary's setting up her 2012 campaign as we speak
  6. QUOTE (Brian @ Aug 26, 2008 -> 08:39 PM) I'm not gonna lie, Chelsea looks hot as hell. Too bad we know what she will look like when she gets older. Oh hell yea. I'd do her in a second. that black dress suit was sexy as all hell.
  7. QUOTE (kapkomet @ Aug 26, 2008 -> 07:08 PM) This does a couple of things - it gets the media to say SEE, I TOLD YOU THEY'RE UNITED, and two, it keeps the b****ing off the table. This is political season... even the media would flip-flop!! lol They have been pushing the "they hate each other" angle the last 4+ days.
  8. QUOTE (kapkomet @ Aug 26, 2008 -> 06:59 PM) I'm pretty sure I agree with you - because they have to show the "unity" now... and Hilldog will assure that tonight one way or the other, even if she's lying through her teeth. It's actually a pretty smart decision. Clinton will call for her supporters to really around Obama this evening with what is reported to be a VERY strong speech. Let them vent in private tomorrow morning, then come together outside.
  9. For what it's worth: There is a rumor going around that the "nomination" vote will be held at a private dinner tomorrow morning than when the public nomination comes up at the convention, Clinton will call for vote by affirmation for Obama. Clinton would not be in the "affirmation" vote.
  10. Kucinich is a strange little dude, but he has solid points.
  11. QUOTE (kapkomet @ Aug 26, 2008 -> 06:50 PM) I don't know what the formal rules are, and it will vary district by district, but overall you probably can't because the point is to always protect the integrity of the voter at all costs... that's what my thoughts were too. I know voter protection is pretty strict.
  12. QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Aug 26, 2008 -> 06:43 PM) Do your best... Did You See That? It's a UFO! Look!!
  13. I was thinking this afternoon: With all these touch screen voting systems, one would think it wouldn't be hard to "time stamp" every vote. Is it legal to go back and look at the votes (minus personal information) and track basic voting trends like if republicans vote more during the day or at night. Stuff like that. Just curious. I'd be curious to see stats like that from ACTUAL votes rather than exit surveys.
  14. Pretty High Expectations: Chairman Dean: "There is not a unity problem... wait till you see Hillary Clinton's speech"
  15. And they planned on getting sniper riffles into Invsco Field and have the ability to set them up without getting noticed how?
  16. QUOTE (Alpha Dog @ Aug 25, 2008 -> 09:47 PM) I'm thinking.....Swingtown: Season 2 Winner. hands down.
  17. For those who are interested: Live streaming video via the DNC Convention Website. By the way, I only caught the last 2 minutes, but Ted Kennedy is the man.
  18. QUOTE (kapkomet @ Aug 25, 2008 -> 07:30 PM) That's bulls***. PURE bulls***. I've seen polls that support at least half of his claims. I'll post them later when I have a chance to do some googling.
  19. QUOTE (longshot7 @ Aug 25, 2008 -> 04:39 PM) Seems pretty Centrist to me. The problem is the Right doesn't want what most Americans want - they want what a select few want. And that's not democracy. I have argued for a LONG time that the platform of the DNC is far more "centrist" than that of the GOP. The problem is the GOP uses "moral" issues like abortion and gay marriage to make the DNC far more leftist than it really is. I wouldnt say the Right "want what a select few want". They just make their stand on wedge issues that paint the left as baby killing homosexuals.
  20. GO ME! One of my YouTube videos made it onto TalkingPointsMemo!! I e-mailed them with the link at 3:40 PM. Less than 40 minutes later it was up and with a story! UPDATE: They have since replaced my video with a re-YouTubed version with TPM branding.
  21. QUOTE (kapkomet @ Aug 25, 2008 -> 12:42 PM) What a definitive statement. His voting record says otherwise. according to a survey that just "happened" to have listed John Kerry as the most liberal senator in 2004. Let's not get into this debate again. Been there, done that.
