  1. Just go this in an e-mail from a friend. It's the location where "the tempest" was located....
  2. QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Mar 9, 2008 -> 02:42 PM) Last night, the Dems scored a big Congress win, taking out Jim Oberweis in Illinois...in Dennis Hastert's old district...and on top of it, the nearly broke NRCC dumped a ton of money in to that race too. Good Riddance Oberweisse. He is by FAR the most negative politician I can remember. Almost ALL his ads are teardowns of his opponents. Talk about yourself!
  3. I just crunched some numbers: I think we'll know who will be the nominee by May 6th. That is the day North Carolina and Indiana hold their primaries. If Obama and Clinton roughly split those states, Clinton would need to win 70-73% off the remaining delegates (West Virginia, Oregon, Kentucky, Puerto Rico, South Dakota, Montana). Let me put it this way, if Clinton doesn't win Pennsylvania by at LEAST a 60-40 margin... games over. (MI and FL not withstanding)
  4. QUOTE(Greg The Bull Luzinski @ Mar 8, 2008 -> 05:28 PM) Hillary will now deny the existance or importance of Wyoming. Hey, in Jericho, Cheyenne becomes the capital of the Allied States of America
  5. QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Mar 8, 2008 -> 02:05 PM) If BO could push himself up to 64% or so, he pulls off an extra delegate. He's inching there. 78% and it's 59-40
  6. With 70% of Wyoming reporting, obama leads 58-41. Looks like he'll take Wyoming easily. Clinton campaign likely to whine and moan that it's undemocratic, the state doesn't count, blah blah blah...
  7. Clinton's experience claim under scrutiny: not much there
  8. QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Mar 8, 2008 -> 10:14 AM) Another Obama campaign person was on one of the news programs saying that BOTH Hillary AND Obama weren't ready for the infamous 3 am phone call being portrayed in her campaign ad. interestingly enough, the Clinton campaign played this up! They included it in one of their press releases. Apparently ignoring the fact the woman said Hillary isnt ready either. And the FULL quote was that NO ONE, not even McCain, is EVER ready to answer that phone. It's HOW you answer it that matters. It's about judgement.
  9. QUOTE(YASNY @ Mar 8, 2008 -> 09:55 AM) Yes. Heaven forbid anybody take a hard look at Obama. Who the hell does does Hillary think she is by putting him under the microscope. Damn man. This is politics. If your candidate can't stand up scutiny, he doesn't need to be in the race. that's not my point. My point is that she double talks. You are not allowed to ask her hard questions... she plays victim. She says she is upset with Obama going negative. Yet, she is CONSTANTLY trying to push "negative" things about Obama. It's hypocritical.
  10. QUOTE(AngelasDaddy0427 @ Mar 7, 2008 -> 10:34 PM) The monster thing is a joke. First off Obama didn't say it some over zealous aide did. Finally the aide resigned (more then likely to avoid being fired). If one of Hillary's aides did this they would still be working for her. well, in fairness the clintons have fired a few of comments about Obama, but they never respond to "supporters" like Bob Johnson who rip into Obama. They are ok to say as they like. Hell, even McCain had the nuts to stand up and say "i dont agree with what my supporter just said"
  11. QUOTE(NorthSideSox72 @ Mar 7, 2008 -> 09:28 PM) Meh, its more of the same crap. And Clinton has spewed a lot more of it than Obama or McCain have. So its not exactly huge news. So, I was poking around on HillaryClinton.com today and noticed something interesting. In almost all her major "Morning HUBdate" press releases, she almost ALWAYS includes two or three items labeled something along the lines of "in cased you missed it" and it points to something "negative" about the Obama campaign. It might be Rezko, or this monster comment, or some other stupid little thing they are trying to dig up on him. Yet on BarackObama.com... almost no mention of her. They focus on Obama and his message. Just interesting from a person who cries bloody murder the moment Obama says anything negative about her, she's practically PUSHING the media to get negative on Obama.
  12. QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Mar 7, 2008 -> 07:22 PM) So no wall to wall reports on the Obama advisor calling Hillary a monster today? I am shocked! she was just saying what everyone thinks
  13. Obama picks up 4 PLEDGED delegates in CA from Clinton.
  14. Did some more math- Total Votes To Date (includes caucus "delegates" which count as one vote) Obama - 12,747,492 Clinton - 12,398,606 Edwards - 684,633 Total - 26,225,940
  15. QUOTE(KipWellsFan @ Mar 6, 2008 -> 03:39 PM) I'm not willing to assume that Obama is going to win by that much in Wyoming and Mississippi, but I tend to agree with your assessment of the math. Of course the psychological impact is also important, or at least that's what the pundits tell me. Even if Hillary becomes "presumptive" I have a hard time believing she wins by 30 in EVERY state. She has a hard time breaking 55% in most states.
  16. A lot of people are saying the math is against Hillary, so I did the math... Assuming Obama wins Wyoming and Mississippi in the next week by a 60-40 margin, Hillary would need to win 65% of the remaining delegates to take the pledged delegate lead. That's beating Obama by 30 points in EVERY STATE from now till June. In fact, if you facotr in how delegates are awarded, she'd probably have to win by MORE than 30 points in every state.
  17. For Clinton, Two Different Stances On Two Pentagon Contracts Flip-Flopper
  18. Obama brings in $55 million in February... SHATTERS the previous record, held by him!
  19. Clinton's "Big State" Myth: Why Barack Obama Remains the Most Electable Democrat This Fall
  20. QUOTE(koch44 @ Mar 6, 2008 -> 11:17 AM) The dirts really starting to come out now... Clintons ties to Rezko oh snap! I'd like to see her weasel her way out of this.
  21. QUOTE(BigSqwert @ Mar 6, 2008 -> 07:30 AM) Cool. Just joined. me too

    Jericho

This show is AWESOME! And kinda scary! The Valente - Dick Cheney and J&R - Halliburton comparisons are striking.
  23. QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Mar 6, 2008 -> 08:18 AM) Probably less than what they are paying now for the bloated bureaucracy of Cook County, especially if they join another existing county. If anyone is interested in helping, I am thinking of putting together a website dedicated to the cook county secession movement. No formal plans yet, just an idea.
