  1. The real question is... How does a homeless man get a wife?
  2. QUOTE(beck72 @ Jul 13, 2005 -> 07:17 AM) If the Marlins were in town looking at sox guys, bullpen is where they need the most help. Guys I could see them interested in would be Cotts, Vizcaino and Jenks. Seeing how they only have one LHP in the pen, cotts would have to look very appealing to them [young, cheap and good]. O NOES!!! NOTT HOTT COTTS!!!111!!11!11!!1!1111
  3. QUOTE(SoxFan101 @ Jul 13, 2005 -> 04:36 AM) go look at aaron boone's stats. They can move Casey Blake back to 3b.
  4. QUOTE(Southside hitmen @ Jul 13, 2005 -> 12:42 AM) Joe Randa, Reds Of all the Reds players likely to attract attention, Randa might be the most tradeable. Not only does he have affordable $2.15 million one-year deal, but the veteran has been perhaps the most consistent all-around contributor for the Reds this season. Potential Suitors: Indians, White Sox The Indians don't need a 3b.
  5. He couldn't throw a strike tonight. Thank goodness he got out of trouble. Anyone else wondering if he might repeat something along that line if (when) the Sox make the playoffs?
  6. Unbreakable was one where I got to the ending and I went... WTF?! That's just stupid!
  7. I understand that it would be kind of neat to be on the field, but that is a waste of money. These people are just like you and me except that they play a children's game very well. I say, go to the picnic in the park day and wander around on the field. Save your money for game tickets.
  8. AJ's HR vs. LA The blowout game at Colorado with Frank's bomb to CF. Rowand's big HR to left vs. SD. Garland's successful pitching. Pods disrupting pitchers while on the bases and us being a part of him making the AS Game. Cotts coming into his own as a great LH reliever. Hermy closing out games, then the AP taking quadzillion pics of him high-fiving AJ. Dye's golf swing Grand Salami the other night. Everett's catch into the RF corner the other night vs. Oakland and the fans that patted him on the back after the play. The ChicagoSports All City Team The race to post the "White Sox Winner" threads.
  9. A bench with Uribe and Ozuna on it would be great. Willie and Timo can say farewell.

  11. I remember when Hawk was the color guy for the Sox and Don Drysdale did PBP. Drysdale was pretty good. I believe that NBC gave him a big contract for Game of the Week on Saturdays. My fav announcer was Wayne Laravee when he did the Bears games on WGN.
  12. QUOTE(MurcieOne @ Jul 11, 2005 -> 10:11 PM) I wrote the author last week, and told him how good i though the article was... he hit me back and thanked me.... he's a quality guy and that was an amazing article. Did you tell him that you were a Sox fan and :fthecubs ?
  13. Kent batting 8th... That's something to see.
  14. QUOTE(AddisonStSox @ Jul 11, 2005 -> 02:40 PM) I believe it's a play on the word, "robbing." As in, base-robbin'. Actually, it's quite clever. I figured that it might be the case.
  15. http://www.extremeskins.com/modules.php?op...haha&file=index YAAAAAAY!!!!!!!
  16. Konerko's so slow when he gets on base that it takes 5 base hits to score him.
  17. So, Champ... Why does "Robbin" have 2 "b"s in it in your sig?
  18. He's more funny stuff on the last page.
  19. http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/columns/stor...yson&id=2104935 It's seven pages, but here are some funny parts about injuries. I guess they forgot about Wunsch injuring himself walking out of the bullpen.
  20. Getting drunk and cursing about the White Sox.
  21. QUOTE(AirScott @ Jul 10, 2005 -> 10:53 PM) you're right about that, Alou threw more of a fit than the Orioles right-fielder did in 1996, when Jeffrey Maier interfered and caught Jeter's hit. Tony Tarasco
  22. QUOTE(KipWellsFan @ Jul 11, 2005 -> 12:00 AM) Add Chris Cooper to the underrated list. I just watched Silver City and he was great, also great in Adaptation and American Beauty. Of course he is an Oscar winner so I don't know if he really is underrated. Want a good movie with Chris Cooper, Laura Dern and Jake Gyllenhaal? Rent October Sky.
