QUOTE (Rooftop Shots @ Feb 14, 2010 -> 10:34 PM) The closest I've been to there is the "Cairo-Practor!!"

I plan on doing this every 2 or 3 weeks. This poll is not incuding Damon or any minor leaguers maybe getting a spot on the 25 man in Spring Training. This is the roster right now.

Do you think there will be a year when we only keep 2 or 3 to give newer guys a chance at better players?

QUOTE (SoxAce @ Feb 14, 2010 -> 03:33 AM) Knight would probably know the answer to that since he had it up (and put it in the avatar) for Ranger. I think it's in PH7.

By midlevel I meant in the conference "pack". But you are correct, Oklahoma is much better than Penn State is at basketball. -

Both Penn St. and Oklahoma have had midlevel basketball programs overall. Yes, OK has had more recent Bball success (last 8-10 years). However, both PSU and OK are very similar in football; even though OK has a more successful overall history. -

I was doing a conference to conference comparison. Looks fairly even, but the Big 12 has a small advantage. -

If the Big 12 loses Missouri, they should snap up Utah ASAP. -

Let's see: As a fan of neither Big 10, nor Big 12, I'll make general comparisons of overall recent men's bball/football success. Ohio State =/ Penn State =/ Michigan > Nebraska Wisconsin =/> Texas Tech Michigan St. =/ Iowa > Missouri Purdue = Oklahoma St. Indiana = Colorado Illinois =/> Kansas St. Minnesota = Texas A&M Northwestern xxxxx ----- Baylor -
If you have interest in joining or returning to one of the Soxtalk fantasy baseball leagues this year, post a reply in this thread. If you were in a league last year, post that in your reply; and, if you have interest in commishing, post that as well. When we start forming leagues, you will receive a PM from someone.

QUOTE (AssHatSoxFan @ Feb 13, 2010 -> 11:47 AM) My team is crap but if you want anyone make an offer Any chance that you'd trade Carpenter for a couple of guys?

QUOTE (iamshack @ Feb 13, 2010 -> 05:31 PM) Got around to watching Public Enemies, finally. Was pretty disappointed. Depp and Bale were solid, but I thought the plot (or execution of the plot) was pretty weak. I didn't find it suspenseful, didn't find it altogether exciting, did not feel any desire for the couple to be together, etc. It was a decent movie with some local interest. Other than that it was crap. Reddy was an extra in the theater scene.

QUOTE (JPN366 @ Feb 13, 2010 -> 05:10 PM) If you like Thora, check out "The Hole." Isn't that the general idea of this thread? I'm sure that "The Hole" is what he wants to check out on her.

QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Feb 13, 2010 -> 02:08 AM) Texas. Notre Dame. Syracuse. Any school that would actually provide new markets and millions more of BTN subscribers. Those 3 are about the only ones I could come up with. Texas and Syracuse don't make sense geographically, though. Iowa St., Missouri, Louisville, Cincinnati, Pittsburgh, and Kentucky are the only reasonable options. -
Here's my final roster from '09: Billy Butler (KC - 1B) Adrián González (SD - 1B) Derek Jeter (NYY - SS) Adam Jones (Bal - OF) Garrett Jones (Pit - 1B,OF) Carlos Lee (Hou - OF) Felipe López (Mil - 2B,3B,SS,OF) Nick Markakis (Bal - OF) Casey McGehee (Mil - 2B,3B) Kendry Morales (LAA - 1B,OF) Juan Uribe (SF - 2B,3B,SS) Matt Wieters (Bal - C) Andrew Bailey (Oak - RP) Homer Bailey (Cin - SP) Kevin Correia (SD - SP,RP) Brian Fuentes (LAA - RP) Paul Maholm (Pit - SP) Ross Ohlendorf (Pit - SP,RP) Wandy Rodríguez (Hou - SP) Javier Vázquez (NYY - SP) Adam Wainwright (StL - SP) Jered Weaver (LAA - SP) I'm leaning towards keeping Wainwright, Morales, and a few others, but make me an offer if there's anyone you like.

QUOTE (3E8 @ Feb 12, 2010 -> 10:40 PM) Nothing will put a damper on your honeymoon like stepping on a landmine ...or falling inside of a pyramid full of snakes. SNAKES! WHY does it always have to be snakes?!

QUOTE (T R U @ Feb 12, 2010 -> 09:45 PM) Marshall and Dumerville are not unrestricted free agents, and there is zero chance the Bears can get either of them mainly because they have no 1st or 2nd round pick this year.. I was going under the assumption that all were unrestricted, otherwise why would it have been speculation for the Bears? I dunno.
