  1. QUOTE (Disco72 @ Sep 6, 2009 -> 02:26 PM) Sox got something going: Pods with the infield hit, Nix with a walk... 2 on, nobody out. Just like yesterday.
  2. He's a roiding linebacker; battery was inevitable.
  3. QUOTE (BigEdWalsh @ Sep 6, 2009 -> 02:17 PM) Kimberly?? No no, I mean you could be my Dad's age or so. You're younger by the way.
  4. QUOTE (BigEdWalsh @ Sep 6, 2009 -> 02:14 PM) My oldest daughter had that treehouse. Dad?
  5. QUOTE (ChWRoCk2 @ Sep 6, 2009 -> 02:09 PM) The top seed team always plays the lowest seed to come out of the wildcard playoff rd. So in your case the Patriots would play the Colts and SD would play the Steelers. I had my numbers switched then.
  6. That's my point. Most teams that have conference schedules play relative lower talent teams too. Penn State has Northwestern, Purdue, Indiana, Michigan, Iowa, Minnesota... USC has Washington, Washington St., Stanford, Arizona, Oregon St... Florida has Vanderbilt, Mississippi St, South Carolina, Auburn, Kentucky... Texas has Kansas St, Texas A&M, Iowa St, Baylor, Colorado... Plus in their non-conference games, they play teams like St Mary's School For Girls, and Broken Pelvis State.
  7. How weak would a Big East-heavy schedule look, though.
  8. They could join the Big East and still have the TV contract. NBC would just have to add a Big East game before N.D.'s game every week and have a doubleheader broadcast.
  9. QUOTE (whitesoxfan101 @ Sep 6, 2009 -> 12:46 PM) Washington's looking good early I would argue. They haven't won a game since 2007, and they really weren't a threat at any point in the 4th quarter last night hosting a sleepwalking LSU team. In general though, I don't think Notre Dame purposely scheduled a creampuff schedule this year, it just turned out to be one. There isn't a SWAC, MAC or 1AA team on that schedule.
  10. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Sep 6, 2009 -> 12:46 PM) If you spend anytime in the South Bend area, you learn ND is like a cult. You are either indoctrinated, or you hate it. I hate it. They are like Yankees fans. I'm not like a Yankee fan.
  11. Nevada won a bowl game last year Michigan is usually good Michigan St. won 9 games Purdue is rebuilding Washington's looking good early USC is always good Boston College also won 9 Washington St. is not great, yeah Navy's been tough, almost beat Ohio St Pittsburgh won 9 Connecticut was in a bowl game last year Stanford is rebuilding I see maybe 3 "puff" teams. The rest are competitive or good.
  12. Every year they say that ND's schedule is weak, and every year 6 or 7 of the teams on their schedule make bowl games.
  13. QUOTE (whitesoxbrian @ Sep 6, 2009 -> 12:04 PM) Washington played very well vs LSU. I wouldn't be surprised if Washington beats, or almost beats, Notre Dame. Perhaps N.D.'s schedule isn't so easy after all.
  14. My mom recently got her first children's book published.
  15. Wow. Patriots are getting a top 5 pick for a guy past his prime. The word "brilliance" isn't brilliant enough to describe their front office.
  16. QUOTE (FlaSoxxJim @ Sep 6, 2009 -> 11:04 AM) If that was 100% true there would be no phone sex workforce. Wait. You're saying that the ads lie?
  17. I had a Weeble Tree when I was a little kid.
  18. QUOTE (soxbsbllvr @ Sep 6, 2009 -> 10:30 AM) Saw Bartolo in Spring Training and knew at that point we wasted our money, couldn't even throw a fastball more than 86mph. He looks like a weeble on the mound. Get him out of here now. Ha! I wonder how many people "get" the Weeble reference.
  19. QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Sep 6, 2009 -> 10:23 AM) Sure he's bad but you didn't have to bring race into the equation. My 92 year old Grandma say "colored" sometimes still. We always ask her what color she means.
  20. QUOTE (elrockinMT @ Sep 5, 2009 -> 03:17 PM) You had me until the Joe Morgan thing. I like Joe's analysis. Maybe he will manage sometime? Morgan is a pompous narcissistic windbag. He's the Barry Bonds of TV guys.
