  1. QUOTE (DukeNukeEm @ Sep 16, 2009 -> 09:25 PM) Good luck finding them, the MLB are nazi's about that s***. I have gifs of a lot of these, I'll look for them at home.
  2. Mary Travers of Peter, Paul and Mary passed away.
  3. QUOTE (santo=dorf @ Sep 16, 2009 -> 07:57 AM) I think the Baldwin move still could be his biggest blunder. A young GM tries to get a young prospect named Jon Berry but gets a journeyman named Jeff Barry. Whatever happened to that prospect, Jon Berry?
  4. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Sep 16, 2009 -> 03:23 PM) Bartolo has been set loose, per Scott Reifort. O M G! TOKYO RUN FOR YOUR LIFE!
  5. QUOTE (Heads22 @ Sep 16, 2009 -> 01:05 PM) Freddy heard we had Danks and wanted in.
  6. QUOTE (Heads22 @ Sep 2, 2009 -> 10:31 PM) People close to the program: Both. People close to Barnes: ISU slightly more than Duke. Why be Elton Brand when you can be Marcus Fizer? Why be Shane Battier when you can be Fred Hoiberg?
  7. Vince's wife (WWE CEO) is going to quit to run for the Senate.
  8. QUOTE (Milkman delivers @ Sep 16, 2009 -> 12:41 PM) THT? The Hardball Times
  9. QUOTE (BlackBetsy @ Sep 15, 2009 -> 10:12 PM) I'd say "Redskins" is the only nickname that is offensive in its own right. If you replace red with white or brown or black or change it to "slant eyes," it's obviously offensive. The tribal names like Illini or Seminoles seem OK to me...more like state pride than anything. I can see where people might get offended at war-like references to the tribes, but sports are the equivalent of "battles" in modern day. I'm not sure it is a blanket statement about tribal culture. There's only three things that I'd get rid of: The term "Redskins". The Tomahawk Chop. And the Smiling Cleveland Indians logo. Everything else is fairly tame.

  11. QUOTE (The Ginger Kid @ Sep 15, 2009 -> 09:34 PM) should be interesting to see how DET comes back tonight losing 11-1. Because you know they will. I dunno. I think that this is the perfect time to gain a game back.
  12. QUOTE (knightni @ Sep 15, 2009 -> 07:36 PM) Jim Thome as hitting coach/part time DH. I'm telling you... He's the reason that Manny's hitting better right now. He's a direct disciple of Charlie Manuel.
  13. QUOTE (Thunderbolt @ Sep 15, 2009 -> 03:52 PM) It's been a great run, JPN. Thanks for all your incite. JPN incites with his insight.
  14. Jim Thome as hitting coach/part time DH.
  15. Every time someone gets a gum bubble on their cap and doesn't know it.
  16. This is what... the third or fourth time he's interrupted someone on stage or gone off script on something?
  17. QUOTE (ChiSox_Sonix @ Sep 15, 2009 -> 01:51 PM) The University has very close ties the Seminole Nation and I feel if they felt 'The Chop' was degrading, they wouldn't be so supportive of the University's use of their namesake. A majority of the Seminole Nation is gone from Florida. The remaining Native Americans in Florida were bought off with casinos. http://www.reuters.com/article/bondsNews/idUSB26625520071114
  18. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Sep 15, 2009 -> 01:42 PM) http://www.throwbackguy.com/images/blackhawks-logo.gif That's a weird looking military division.
  19. QUOTE (ChiSox_Sonix @ Sep 15, 2009 -> 01:36 PM) Being a Seminole and Chiefs fan, I hope they never change a thing. I do feel the PC crap of today just goes way over the top far too often. I don't care if Fla St. wants to have an Indian Chief as a mascot as long as it's respectful. I am however, opposed to this:
  20. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Sep 15, 2009 -> 01:17 PM) If they ever try to change the Blackhawks I'll kill someone. It's meant to honor him. Actually, they were named after the Black Hawk military division of WW I. The division was named after the Chief. Of course, the Chief murdered hundreds of early Illinois and Iowa settlers, so yeah, let's honor him.
