QUOTE (RockRaines @ Apr 1, 2009 -> 05:57 PM) You think rubber would hold up to the pounding, chemicals, weather and salt better than what they have now? Chicago will always have potholes and s***ty streets, if you want endless stretches of wide open smooth freeway move to Arizona. I think that a rubber-based composite would be durable. I don't know how slip-resistant it would be though.

Mr Angelo, please trade for Jay Cutler!

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Apr 1, 2009 -> 06:56 PM) I'd love to see what happens if the team with the #1 pick couldn't get someone to agree to a contract before the draft and decided to start dropping a few slots to save the cap room. Without a major adjustment to the rookie pay scale it's only a matter of time. This is why they want to move the draft to February. -
Krause could sure draft them. http://sports.yahoo.com/nba/news?slug=ap-b...p&type=lgns

QUOTE (Soxbadger @ Apr 1, 2009 -> 03:06 PM) The problem with the streets has nothing to do with the want or ability to fix them, but instead is based on science. Chicago has hot and cold weather. When the weather is warm, we have rain. When the weather is cold, we have snow. When it rains, small water molecules get into the cracks in asphalt. When it freezes those molecules expand, as the water expands it causes small cracks in the asphalt. When the water molecules melt small holes are left in the street. If you repeat this process over and over again, you begin to see bigger and bigger cracks, eventually resulting in large pot holes. If you could invent something to stop this process, you would be rich. The city has hundreds of other problems it could be using its workers on. Why not use old tires like they do for sports fields and city courts? Mix the rubber with asphalt to create a more durable road surface.

QUOTE (StrangeSox @ Apr 1, 2009 -> 08:16 AM) So what do you do for the other 45 minutes in a hour? I buy used cars, go to strip clubs and re-mortgage my home.

QUOTE (Kenny Hates Prospects @ Mar 31, 2009 -> 03:10 PM) KW calls Billy Beane Ring, ring, ring... Beane: Yes? KW: Hi Billy, I was wondering if Chris Denorfia is avail.... Beane: You insolent bastard!!! (click) So either that happened or Dewayne Wise is a better baseball player. Can KW be Stimpy and Beane be Ren? -
In one 30 second clip of Anderson being mic'ed on 30 teams in 30 days on mlb network, I laughed at Anderson; but, I can also see how he could rub people the wrong way.
-
I think that Anderson disrespected Ozzie and/or got his sons in trouble. It has to be personal somehow.

The Giants could use an angry old black man to play marginal LF and be a power hitter.
