  1. AJ's going to make a fun manager someday.
  2. Looks like he might be staying (for now). No one claimed him on waivers.
  3. QUOTE (StrangeSox @ Oct 7, 2008 -> 12:58 PM) I'm always for more fans filling the stadium and larger payrolls as a result. My girlfriend calls him the White Sox Garbage Monster. What the heck is he supposed to be, anyway? http://culturepush.com/x/wp-content/upload...uch-9911499.jpg http://chicago.whitesox.mlb.com/cws/images...cot_250x300.jpg
  4. QUOTE (Princess Dye @ Oct 7, 2008 -> 11:52 AM) i think he was the one fired for playing "Here I Go Again" during Finley's warmups. AWESOME
  5. QUOTE (whitesoxbrian @ Oct 7, 2008 -> 08:50 AM) What? Sarcasm.
  6. QUOTE (whitesoxbrian @ Oct 6, 2008 -> 10:20 PM) Watch out for Bears88 over there. He's a piece of garbage. bearsbrian was taken huh?
  7. I; for one, have had my fill of Thome.
  8. QUOTE (rangercal @ Oct 6, 2008 -> 02:16 PM) brly? yabrly.
  9. QUOTE (Jenksy Cat @ Oct 6, 2008 -> 02:05 PM) I have given up trying to spell it correctly, so I go with phonetically Bu ehr le Buh err lee
  10. QUOTE (dasox24 @ Oct 6, 2008 -> 02:01 AM) <!--quoteo(post=1773722:date=Oct 4, 2008 -> 06:19 PM:name=knightni)-->QUOTE (knightni @ Oct 4, 2008 -> 06:19 PM) <!--quotec-->I'm back from the ND game. Did you have fun? Just got back to Knoxville and I must say I had a great time at the game. It's definitely a different atmosphere than game day at Tennessee, but though different, it was just as fun. The game itself was good to watch with that mini-comeback by Stanford, and there's really not a bad seat in the stadium. It seemed smaller than a 80,000 person stadium... And the game made me wish Jimmy Clausen had followed his brothers to UT so we'd actually have a legit QB, lol... Also went to the pep rally on Friday, which was unique b/c we don't do anything like that at Tennessee. It was pretty cool as well. I was up there for my friend's 21st birthday and, overall, I thoroughly enjoyed the campus as a whole and my first game lived up to expectations. If I had known that you were coming sooner, I could have found you a room at my hotel. Where did you stay?
  11. QUOTE (whitesoxbrian @ Oct 5, 2008 -> 10:01 PM) If the Sawx win the series and if we magically come back and win ours, we have homefield in the ALCS. AND the World Series.
  12. Danks didn't do anything that Buehrle didn't do. He just got run support and a decent bullpen.
  13. If we win tomorrow and in Game 5 in Tampa, it's homefield advantage the rest of the way.
  14. QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Oct 5, 2008 -> 07:52 PM) Game 5 will probably be at 7:30 am. I hope that I can wake up in time.
  15. He needs to figure out McCain or Obama.
  16. What's the difference between 89 Sox wins and 97 Cubs wins? One playoff victory.
  17. QUOTE (lostfan @ Oct 5, 2008 -> 01:35 AM) So just now I go kind of jogging down my stairs with a bottle of wine, all excited to sit down... I hop down the last 3 stairs but didn't realize I jumped a couple inches too high and I hit my head on the top of the door frame. I fall flat on my f***ing ass and I end up sitting there for about 10 seconds stunned like omg WTF just happened? I did that once going down the basement stairs at church. The stairwell ceiling was lower that I thought and I leapt down the last three stairs... Knocked myself out for like 5 seconds.
  18. QUOTE (whitesoxfan101 @ Oct 4, 2008 -> 02:09 PM) I think Wisconsin is the only school in America whose band has more off the field troubles than it's players. Stanford is fun as well.
  19. QUOTE (dasox24 @ Sep 26, 2008 -> 03:48 PM) Notre Dame (going next weekend to the Stanford game) I'm back from the ND game. Did you have fun?
  20. QUOTE (lostfan @ Oct 4, 2008 -> 01:23 AM) I heard myself actually saying "we didn't have the internet back then..." a couple of months ago. Also I was telling a guy that just graduated high school about the Jordan dynasty, and how sweet it was to watch Frank Thomas as opposed to just popping your eyes out at his stats. None of that really even seems like that long ago to me, but I guess it is. I'm only 26 btw. Anyone else here tend to use the Berlin Wall/end of the Cold War as a point of reference? My junior year school year book was titled "The End of the '80s"
  21. Swisher and Thome both bug me. They wait and wait, hoping to walk, then end up K'ing.
