QUOTE(YASNY @ Mar 26, 2008 -> 12:29 AM) Then again, do we want someone who'll hang up and then call Jeremiah Wright for guidance at 3:00 a.m.? Then again, do we want someone who'll hang up and the become the Manchurian Candidate at 3:00a.m.?

Hell, if Obama wanted to screw a sexier guy, John Edwards was around.

QUOTE(Shamrock4Life @ Mar 25, 2008 -> 11:49 PM) I hope this puts BA in the driver seat for the CF position. My plan to have a BA jersey might actually work. I have blank one in my closet. Juan Uribe #86 jersey?

QUOTE(JDsDirtySox @ Mar 25, 2008 -> 11:45 PM) Thats a great idea... how many different starters do you think we will have this year? Spot Starters and All... I am going with 9. I think that you might run out of space... Yeah, 9 sounds about right. Broadway, Masset, Ohka, Sisco, ...Poreda?

QUOTE(Felix @ Mar 25, 2008 -> 11:40 PM) Damn, I've been looking for a softball class here but there isn't. Instead I have handball class tomorrow... gotta love being a Sport Management major and having required PE classes That's almost as bad as getting your degree in creative writing.

QUOTE(JDsDirtySox @ Mar 25, 2008 -> 11:39 PM) I think Broadway is next in line if Gavin or Danks falls apart. I don't want to mess with him in relief. You need to add a jersey in your sig for every new starter that the Sox throw out there this season.

Yeah. THAT guy's a catch for sure.

QUOTE(RockRaines @ Mar 25, 2008 -> 08:29 PM) Bolded for you Princess. Seriously. It's pretty fun to call a guy "princess" and he can't get mad at you.

QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Mar 24, 2008 -> 08:07 PM) I believe after all the snow-outs last year there was a short study of some sort which suggested that all you had to do was avoid playing a home game in like the first 10 days of the season in a few cities (Chicago, Minny, Cleveland) and you pretty much bypass the chances of losing whole series as happened with Cleveland last year. Why Minny? They have a dome. Plus the Sox open in Cleveland. Apparently, the study matters bupkis. Also, I don't care if the players and owners want to play on an iceberg in February, I just won't be there in person until it's about 60 degrees out.

QUOTE(WilliamTell @ Mar 25, 2008 -> 01:35 AM) I might be coming off as more sensitive about it than I really am. And I'm probably making it sound like a bigger deal than it actually is. I think it comes down to I regret not trying for it a few years ago and I didn't want to make the same mistake this time. Well, you've at least made yourself known. If she wants to start something with you, she can find you...can't she?

QUOTE(DBAH0 @ Mar 25, 2008 -> 01:29 AM) Who would you want to replace Paxson though? Paxson had minimal experience when he was hired. I'm sure that someone could be found.

QUOTE(nitetrain8601 @ Mar 25, 2008 -> 01:25 AM) Mayo has great quickness, very much on the level of Kobe's. He handles the ball pretty well and his jumper is good, but it's setup by his ability to penetrate and get easy shots. Jamal Crawford should not be thrown in this. He has no feel for the game as he only played 1 year of high school ball and a little more than half a season of college ball before entering the NBA. Hughes his very best season is OJ's worst case scenario. His talent is far above others and his feel for the game is excellent. He's one of the hardest working kids you'll ever know and has that killer instinct. He doesn't want to just beat you, he wants to embarass you and make you not want to play the game ever again. Sounds like a "black hole" type of player, ie. ball goes in, never comes out.

QUOTE(witesoxfan @ Mar 25, 2008 -> 01:08 AM) There's also a reason Alex Rodriguez is the highest paid player in the game and not Juan Pierre. Looks better in a g-string?
-
I'd like to give the shirt thing a try again. If Goldmember allows, we could use the same logo that's on those lovely Soxtalk awards that you're sporting (sooo smartly ) there.
-
I hope that JR has the "cojones" to clean house in the offseason. That includes parting ways with Paxson.
-
Everyone has their right to jump to their own conclusions.
-
We've had Cafe Press stuff before (wanna buy a g-string?), but no one ever bought it.

QUOTE(ZoomSlowik @ Mar 25, 2008 -> 12:29 AM) That definitely appears to be true, a lot of the guys at the top of the draft appear to be tweeners, developmental prospects, or guys may not have the athleticism to be above average starters at the next level. I'm not particularly thrilled with this group and would personally like to see the Bulls trade the pick if they can get decent value. Yeah. The Bulls have too many marginal projects on their bench as it is. I mean, they've had how many lottery/top 20 picks in the last 12 years? What have they had to show for it; an early playoff exit?
