This is a very steep price but thanks to the Reds and their deal you had to know it wouldn't be cheap to get any relievers now...

If the Sox could some how get Rafael Soriano that would be a major upgrade for the pen. The kid has a terrific arm but has had arm problems and surgery...hopefully he would stay healthy though.

This team lately reminds me a lot of the old days of home run or nothing...smallball has gone to the wayside....they are in some serious trouble if they don't get back to playing "smartball" again.

Bruce Levine was on Carmen and Silvy last night saying he thinks KW is going to try and trade for Carl Crawford...but of course didn't go into any detail. Of course TIFWIW since it was Levineline saying it.

Javy reminds me a lot of how Freddy was when he first got here...something not go right and it pisses him off then his focus goes to spiff and gets himself killed. He certainly has the stuff to be a big time pitcher but not the mental makeup as of yet....

The Toronto Star reports that Vernon Wells, who has one more year left on his contract, could be moved by Toronto Blue Jays general manager J.P. Ricciardi. Ricciardi has locked up Roy Halladay, A.J. Burnett and B.J. Ryan, and also has Troy Glaus signed through 2009, perhaps leaving Wells out of the team's budgetary plans. More Yahoo! Sports' take: Wells, the AL's starting center fielder in the All-Star game, would be a huge coup for a contending team looking to shore up center field. It seems unlikely the Blue Jays would deal their young star while in the midst of a pennant race, but perhaps they could be swayed with an offer that includes starting pitching. Just a guess here, but doesn't Wells seem like the kind of guy who would look good in a White Sox uniform? Chicago GM Kenny Williams will not hesitate to make a blockbuster deal if he thinks it could result in another World Series crown.

I think Buehrle isn't pitching inside enough... seems like everything is up and outside. They don't even seem to worry about the inside pitch with him. IMO
