Even though they're from the north side the Smashing Pumpkins are pretty high up on my list.

Stellar Road is pretty big in my area right now.

I like them less than most of my friends do, but I still think they're okay.

Back in the day I'd have to say Menthol and Hum.

But of course, who can forget Jack McDowell's band?

Bon Fire....a AC/DC tribute band....named in honor of Bon Scott!! They are awesome!! The LoveHammers are good too.

I saw Jack play live about 3 years ago and picked memento mori. There is a hidden track on there with vocals by Eddie Vedder. It's a beautiful song that probably the most die hard Pearl Jam fans are unaware of.

LOL is that where they say they're from? Maybe south side of naperville.

I've never seen a local group I liked as much as when I lived in Minnesota: Alva Star. Love them. If you ever get the chance, I would recommend seeing them. Very nice guys too.

eh, close enough, i guess what i meant to say is that they're form the burbs.

Cheap Trick

I'm not a fan of many Chicago bands, though The Last Vegas is fairly decent from what I have heard out of them. I still need to get theirs though.

The Gaza Strippers were O.K., but I carry a slight bias towards them.

The Love Dictators will rule everything though once they get their heads together.

i thought we were looking for local bands that haven't made it...

or else wilco would obviously be mine. and rhymefest.
