I was 11 and I was attacked by 4 guys about 17 or 18. Jumped me for my bike and one of them stabbed me in the side with a knife. Lucky for me my ribs stopped the knife from going to far in and causing major damage but it still was bad enough.

Hell I was mad at my mom and I called her a b**** and my dad came in the room and slapped my half way across the room....needless to say I never even thought to call her that again...extreme maybe but damn effective.

There is a huge difference between spanking and abusing your child. To each their own though on how you punish or don't for that matter.
