  1. lol@Sons of sam horn. Before the Youk single a couple of posters were saying Crain was an amazing pickup and they should've went after him instead of Jenks and Wheeler. It's amazing the different perspectives you can get from other fanbases.
  2. Meh. Whatever. Should've gotten at least one there. It's on the 'pen now.
  3. QUOTE (greg775 @ May 30, 2011 -> 08:58 PM) My position is I think he's deserved to be fired this season. I think he should have been fired already. On a personal level, I want him to manage the Sox forever. If that makes sense. It actually makes no sense. lol. But we're still cool.
  4. Bowden looks like crap. Let's blow this s*** wide open.
  5. QUOTE (fathom @ May 30, 2011 -> 08:51 PM) You don't actually believe that greg wants to fire Ozzie, do you? Every time he says that, he says it with the caveat that a lot of other teams would love Ozzie and that he's made more money than any of us has. greg's done a 180 this year. I figured he was serious.
  6. QUOTE (greg775 @ May 30, 2011 -> 08:46 PM) Do the Ozzie second guessers realize Peavy is still in the game and doing well? You can't have it both ways. You say fire Ozzie or I don't care if he gets fired then want to slurp him if on a rare occasion he does something right. Do you want him gone or not?
  7. Yes! Awesome performance from Peavy against an elite offense.
  8. QUOTE (greg775 @ May 30, 2011 -> 08:46 PM) Do the Ozzie second guessers realize Peavy is still in the game and doing well? You know what they say about blind squirrels.
  9. QUOTE (fathom @ May 30, 2011 -> 08:44 PM) And Peavy's still out there....barf! Don't care how he does this inning, there's no reason to put more strain on his arm. I actually like this. He's getting paid a lot of paper. Extend him as much as you can. I'm sure the 4 run cushion helps.
  10. QUOTE (fathom @ May 30, 2011 -> 08:40 PM) He had a good game in Tampa and one at home against Minnesota I believe. He grounds out to SS so often due to his swing. He's made some good contact on pitches he drives to right, but he doesn't have enough power to get it over the outfielder's head. I was using a bit of hyperbole. But it seems like he's incapable of this.
  11. QUOTE (whitesoxbrian @ May 30, 2011 -> 08:38 PM) Like I said, I pray but I don't think they'll ever be answered. Which BTW, is anyone interested in an authentic Beckham black jersey size 48? I could go as low as $75. For those unaware, a 48 is like a L/XL. I have too many jerseys. And yes, this is authentic; I bought it for $225. It's not one of those fake $60 things. You should take this to the ticket exchange. Though you've picked a bad time to want to sell it. lol.
  12. Has Rios put together 3 consecutive/solid at bats since the opening Cleveland series?
  13. QUOTE (whitesoxbrian @ May 30, 2011 -> 08:33 PM) I mean, I think Viciedo can be a great DH for the Sox for years, but after him, Ramirez, and Santos, the Sox have no good youth. I pray everyday that Beckham can be a .300/25 HR/30 doubles guy but I'm not so sure those prayers will ever be answered. Beckham was supposed to be as close to a lock for stardom we've had since Frank. And he's gone ass backwards.
  14. It wasn't pretty. But Peavy did his job. Now it's on the bullpen.
  15. QUOTE (fathom @ May 30, 2011 -> 08:29 PM) How's Kelly been this year? Thought I read where Rizzo's been fantastic. He's been alright from what I've read. I think he's 5-0. Not sure about his numbers.
  16. QUOTE (CaliSoxFanViaSWside @ May 30, 2011 -> 08:26 PM) Ok traded for him as was rumored a few years ago. Casey Kelly > our entire farm
  17. QUOTE (whitesoxbrian @ May 30, 2011 -> 08:24 PM) Life has been kicking my a$$ repeatedly. I should be around more now. But really, do you think Beckham will ever be the great hitter he was made out to be? I'll take good at this point. It's really demoralizing how it seems every team has 1-2 young studs kickin' ass right off the bat, and we have to go back to the 90's to find the last homegrown youngster to do the same for us.
  18. QUOTE (CaliSoxFanViaSWside @ May 30, 2011 -> 08:22 PM) Imagine if the Sox had signed Agon instead of Dunn and Konerko DHing. That would've required us to have a farm system that didn't resemble the cast from the Sandlot.
  19. QUOTE (elrockinMT @ May 30, 2011 -> 08:14 PM) Be happy mr Jordan I am. But this Red Sox offense scares me. Our bullpen scares me more.
