So far, the winter meetings have been coma-inducing in regards to the Sox. I realize there's still plenty of time before spring training, but I was at least expecting some rumors.

However, if it came down to $1MM or $2MM and playing 70% of the time or 90% of the time, I would think he might sacrifice a little money to get more playing time. And I agree with you about AJ being in control of when he plays. He doesn't make the lineups, and I don't think he's telling the manager when he should be playing.

He could share the position with Brent Morel, who gets at least half a mulligan to prove that he can hit in the big leagues. Definitely something to watch. Platoon at 3rd and C? No thanks. If the Sox trade Floyd to save money, the money needs to be spent on a full-time fix for 3B.
