i'd like leiter too, but i dunno how many years more he WANTS to play... theres a lot of talk of him turning to broadcasting like david justice or joe girardi... and pretty soon it sounds like

dude... look at trachsel's stats... his ERA rocks and he'd be awesome immediate help in our rotation. he could win 20 for us. He won 16 with the METS last year

i dont think hatteberg was the problem. The guy is awesome in the ways Billy's looking for. His OBP is good and he's got awesome discipline at the plate. He's a good player. I think the real problem is the middle infield... crosby will be good but right now he's their version of joe crede...

do you think so? they're having really big problems in their outfield right now... in other words, practically no production (especially cameron in CF) maybe you'd have to dump in a prospect on our end... maybe a middle of the road to decent starter... but i could see them going for it

Trade maggs to the mets for Trachsel (immediate help in the rotation) and scott Kazmir (future ace)

I say we work a deal with the Mets, they seem to be our favorite trading partner recently... but either Leiter, Glavine, or Trachsel would make our rotation AMAZING. Look at Leiter and Trachsel's stats and you'll see that even though their records arent great (last year for example), their ERA's are. Trachsel even had 16 wins last year FOR THE METS! he'd be a helluva pickup, all of them have Playoff experience. I say thats the direction we go, they have an offence thats really lacking, especially in the outfield... they'd prolly go for borchard or another outfield prospect.... just a thought

as great as that sounds... i'd definitely take a package deal that involves us getting Leiter or Glavine over keeping Rauch and Borchard.... plus i kinda just dont like the guy [Rauch] anymore

here's the thing, i really do like Jose, i've never wanted him to be traded cuz he's such a great clubhouse guy and provides a little extra fireworks at the sox games pretty regularly. I just also think its rediculously funny how much he strikes out and i was making fun of it, its not like i dont like the guy or anything.
