QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Apr 9, 2013 -> 01:05 PM) That's complete bulls***. I've never once said that NCAA fans don't understand the NBA, nor have I been arrogant about it. I've simply stated that YOU don't understand the NBA. I just wanted to discuss who the Bulls should consider drafting, and yet while you can claim to be such a NBA guru, you have yet to give 1 suggestion for who the Bulls should draft. Since I know so little, why dont you tell me who the Bulls should draft? That seems like a pretty good way to show off your knowledge. (edit) Im going to remove some things just because Im not that type of person anymore.
-
Steve, Top be honest Im just tired of your arrogant attitude about the NBA and how NCAA fans dont understand the NBA. Its just not true. You can dislike Hardaway as a NBA prospect because "you dont think he has the ability at the next level." That is a fair opinion and one that I would have no problem with. Hardaway is not a sure thing. This is a weak draft where the Bulls will likely be drafting outside of the lottery. In my opinion the Bulls should look at Hardaway, in your opinion they shouldnt. The problem I have is with this: Which just seems to be just completely making stuff up about Hardaway as if you have never seen him play. As I said, who do you think the Bulls should draft?

QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Apr 9, 2013 -> 12:40 PM) This is where your lack of knowledge regarding the league he'd be heading to hurts you. No it doesnt. When he averages less turnovers than 2 consensus top 10 shooting guards, it just shows you have no clue about college basketball stats. But hey, you wouldnt draft Olidapo or McLemore because they average over 2 turnovers a game, so they have "bad handles" Right?? (Edit) Should I link their pages on ESPN? Im not sure you even know who those players are.

QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Apr 9, 2013 -> 12:34 PM) Ohhh sigh. I am not the only one with these opinions, but my apologies for chiming in on your precious sport. When he's getting his pocket picked and playing like s*** in the league, I won't expect you to admit you were wrong. You'll just come up with some bulls*** reasoning that shows you were right all along! Getting pick pocketed? 6 turnovers in 6 games in the NCAA tournament, what were you watching? Seriously? In his career (averaging 30 minutes per game every year) he has never averaged above 2 turnovers a game? (edit) Just for comparison (as I know you dont watch college basketball) Olidapo averaged 2.3 turnovers a game, McLemore averaged 2.3 So I guess you wouldnt draft them either?

QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Apr 9, 2013 -> 12:26 PM) Please explain why I need a shovel? I'm not burying myself in the least. Hardaway cannot dribble and makes stupid decisions. It's pretty obvious. you said he turns it over a lot, which is objectively false. You said that he thinks hes king s***, which not one article has ever suggested, but since its an opinion its subjectively false. You made 1 point about taking bad shots, which is technically true, but has really no impact on his NBA ceiling, because he plays in a system that is predicated on taking quick shots that arent always "good." But hey, you learned all of that after watching 2 games. I mean its clear you just dont like Hardaway because "he thinks hes king s*** because his dad is in the NBA." Ive actually never heard a person say anything close to resembling that about Hardaway. So please just quit pretending like you actually know something about this player. http://www.detroitnews.com/article/2013040...S0201/304050347 http://detroit.cbslocal.com/2012/11/24/bei...his-work-ethic/

QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Apr 9, 2013 -> 12:21 PM) McGary and Zeller will be long gone by the time the Bulls would draft (assuming they both go pro here). I completely agree. But some of the old mocks still have Len/Olynyk going ahead of Zeller/McGary. Im not counting Noel, because no way he makes it to Bulls. I think 1 of Len, Olynyk, Zeller, McGary could be there. I just am in dream world hoping its one of the latter. I actually think McGary may have worked his way to top 10 and second C off board after Noel.
-
QUOTE (lostfan @ Apr 9, 2013 -> 12:18 PM) Derrick Rose wasn't a good defender at all when he first came to the Bulls. Not so much poor work ethic, as much as he just didn't really know what he was doing. If you have athleticism and you can be coached, you can learn in Thibs' system. This is basically my reasoning for Hardaway.

QUOTE (bmags @ Apr 9, 2013 -> 12:14 PM) It's an awful draft. Honestly, I was all for tanking, but this was a really bad draft to tank for anyways. To me, none of the guards available to the bulls will do anything more than add depth, so I don't really care, but if we are going to add a SG that is similar to what we've had past 4 years, i'd rather try and hoard more PF/C depth. I could definitely see getting a big if a guy like McGary or Zeller are there. I dont know, its just seemingly a bunch of meh. Im not a huge fan of Len or Olynyk, I hate duke so I want nothing to do with Plumlee. This draft class just doesnt seem real when you look at the weakness of talent.

Once again, lack of first step, is not "Bad handles" which is why I asked you to clarify your nonsense. Here is your post, just in case you forgot as you are now completely changing your opinion after youve read other peoples. Once again, what type of shovel would you like? And great you dont want him on the Bulls, I asked who do people want that is realistic? So far crickets. Its really easy to say "Oh that player sucks" much harder to actually come up with your own suggestion.

QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Apr 9, 2013 -> 11:58 AM) Dude, just because you watch a lot of s***ty college basketball doesn't make you an expert, either. Hardaway is a detriment the moment he puts the ball on the floor. Anyone who watches more than one game can see this. This is especially true of Hardaway. The shooting guard is excellent on catch-and-shoots (1.227 PPP), but his efficiency drops precipitously once he is forced to put the ball on the floor. Once Hardaway takes a dribble, his points per trip drop to just 0.711. Fly by on closeouts if that's what it takes, but make Hardaway do more than stand with his finger in the wind on the perimeter -- especially in the open floor. Eamonn Brennan has eyes. He'll be eaten alive at the next level, and the mere fact that he shares his father's name means he's going to spend 4 years hurting some team in the NBA. Hopefully, it won't be the Bulls. I never said Im an expert. I just said that Ive seen Hardaway play more than you have, and that not one report has ever said "He has bad handles" So just own up to being wrong, because Eamonn Brennan's point is in direct conflict with yours "excellent on catch and shoots" yet you say he just jacks up bad shots? Should I just buy you a shovel so you can start digging a hole? Just be honest, youve never really seen Hardaway play besides for 1-2 games.

QUOTE (bmags @ Apr 9, 2013 -> 11:58 AM) I'm not saying he's not talented, but I think it's not hard to find a talent like hardaway. Oh great, an athletic drive oriented player that can't shoot. That totally helps solve our problems! Well who are you guys suggesting? I assume that we can all agree that if 21 year old Michael Jordan is available the Bulls should draft him, but given that we are in 2013 and the bulls are going to have to select from the players who are available in this class, who exactly is so much better? Is it Jamaal Franklin? Worse shooter and more turnovers? Maybe a guy like Doug McDermott falls, but then you have an entirely different set of questions. This draft just looks really poor on paper.
-
QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Apr 9, 2013 -> 11:47 AM) Will that be available around pick #20? This draft may be one of the worst ever http://insider.espn.go.com/nba/draft/resul...100/_/year/2013 That has Burke, McGary and GRIII all in the top 15. If those guys dont declare...
-
This is also going to be one the shallowest drafts ever, so Im not saying Hardaway is a world beater, its more given who else is out there, that Hardaway is an interesting prospect for a non-lottery team.
-
QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Apr 9, 2013 -> 11:34 AM) I saw how he looked against good competition all tournament long. He's a dumb player. But hey, it's not like the competition in the NBA is good or anything. The games you saw him play against your bunk-ass unathletic, no NBA prospects Wisconsin team aren't a true gauge of elite, next-level competition. Right because your opinion after watching him for 2 games is really something Id hang my hat on. Not 1 draft site talks about his "bad handles", everyone talks about his bad shooting, but you have to understand Michigan's system (most NBA fans dont watch a lot of college so they dont understand) is to take early fast shots, so he is supposed to jack them up. The "best" college player, Trey Burke, shoots a bunch of ridiculous shots for the same reason. But please enlighten us all. Im sure you are very familiar with Beilein.
-
QUOTE (lostfan @ Apr 9, 2013 -> 11:23 AM) Hardaway Jr. not having handles is kind of baffling considering his father's were pretty legendary. Cause its not true. Steve has maybe seen Hardaway play 2-3 times. He admittedly doesnt watch college basketball.
-
QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Apr 9, 2013 -> 11:21 AM) When forced to dribble the ball, he turns it over (bad handles) He puts up bad shots from bad locations and thinks he's king s*** because daddy was in the NBA (idiot). Post defined. Yeah I just completely disagree, so thats why I wanted to make sure I understood your post. In the entire NCAA tournament he had 6 turnovers (that is 1 per game). The shots are based on how the Michigan system works, so its hard to judge him if youve only seen him play 2-3 times. Hardaway is insanely athletic with good size. Not sure where you get that he thinks hes king s***, never seen him act that way. But Ive only seen him play about 20-30 times.
-
QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Apr 9, 2013 -> 10:50 AM) Hardaway seems like a complete idiot with zero handles. Not sure what this means? But he actually may be available for the Bulls as it stands.
-
Yep, had the Bulls tanked theyd be looking at drafting a decent SG. Not sure if hes going to enter, but I like Hardaway's size and think he could look good next to Rose.

This is just terrible. You have to call that guy going over burkes back if it causes a change of possession. -

The refs have lost all control of this game. (edit) Terms of what a foul is. They just seemingly are making the call based on whether the guy makes the basket or not. -

Refs are brutalizing Michigan not sure what else you can say. -
QUOTE (bigruss22 @ Apr 8, 2013 -> 05:20 PM) I typically agree, but Dany is smokin' as a silver-hair, didn't think she would top that look. Also, she dates Seth McFarlane, lucky guy. The guy Im really jealous of is Robb Stark. He is dating Jenna-Louise Coleman (Clara Oswald in Dr Who) Damn you Stark!

Somehow? Girls are almost always hotter as brunettes.

I actually watched it last night, and if you read Cena and Rock's lips, it was pretty clear that they both knew Rock was done. I really thought that it was Rock's last match, the whole passing of the torch, etc etc. The problem with wrestling, is its hard to tell what news is "real" and what is "story". And overall it was not one of the best ppv's. But that is probably more related to the fact that WWE is still relying on its older talent to carry the main events. Undertaker is part time these days, HHH is part time, Lesnar is part time, Rock is part time... How great of matches do they expect? Even Taker- CM Punk was one of the lighter matches Taker has ever fought. After last years match with HHH he was basically injured the whole year, so they may be trying to limit mileage on these guys.
