  1. Ill take my chances that Wisconsin will start making more open shots, than Henderson will start making stupid crazy shots. Dekker and Brust are better 3 point shooters than Henderson, and take much better shots.
  2. Where did I say that? Steve's quote was me saying the refs were brutal. Never once said taht Wisconsin was playing well or that they werent throwing the ball away In fact I said they threw the ball away?? Why cant I say that refs are bad and wisconsin is playing bad?
  3. Im entitled to my opinion. Seems pretty clear that tick tack s*** is being called on Wisconsin
  4. He also needs to calm down, I think hes thrown 2 away now for no real reason.
  5. Wow these refs are brutal, what the f*** was that call on Brusier
  6. Well but for the refs it should be about 10-0 in the Wisconsin game. Damnit, this is a joke. Henderson just jacking up crap but refs wont call afoul on ole miss
  7. Has anyone ever had ticketmaster cancel an order because you exceeded the ticket limit? Basically I bought 3 tickets and then 2 of my other friends messaged saying they were in a meeting and asked if I could buy them. I did but after realized that the limit was 4...
  8. Cant wait for VCU to try and run with Michigan. Makes a ton of sense to see whether Burke, Hardaway and Robinson are better athletes than the fighting Shakas.
  9. I think the bigger problem was that Michigan gave up 51 points to the Badgers in the second half... Michigan missed some chances in the 1st half, but if we are living in a fantasy land, I assume that Wisconsin also wont shoot 5 from 29 either. But who cares, they likely wont play again until next year, and hopefully McGary, Hardaway, Burke are gone
  10. You must have been watching a different game, Michigan never controlled the tempo against Wisconsin. Michigan scored under 60 in regulation 4 times this year, lost all 4. Thats why Im surprised people are so high on VCU against Michigan, VCU speeding the game up is what Michigan wants.
  11. Trey Burke with a scarey fall, hopefully okay.
  12. Picked ISU for you Heads, dont let me down!
  13. Its fine that you have that opinion, its America, you are entitled to be the guy who says "The US shouldnt have stopped Hitler." Some people are selfless, some people are selfish. Just because you want the US to be the latter, doesnt mean I cant want the US to be the former.
  14. I have butler beating Marquette, so not opposed to an early out for them
  15. http://www.ncaa.com/march-madness-live/?ga...drcmiKVsilOrw5y You cant be expected to work today
  16. I didnt gloss over that part. That is the whole premise of the point. That I wont let the US wait around while people are being massacred. The reason Europeans stopped fighting each other has nothing to do with the casualties of WWII, and has everything to do with the fact that after WWII, Europe no longer had any power that could individually contend against USA or USSR, and thus they could not start a war when there was risk of intervention by a superior opponent. Had nothing to do with them getting tired of war. War is the natural state of humanity, humans will never get tired of war. Europe hasnt learned anything. If they did, then why after WWII did they immediately start fighting in Asia? Would stand to reason that they would end all wars, not just move the battlefield to Korea and Vietnam.
  17. YEah I just checked and thankfully in my real pools I went with Gonzaga. In my fake bracket (Wisconsin champ!) I went with Pitt.
  18. QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Mar 21, 2013 -> 02:39 PM) Where's the evidence for that? Hitler wanted to take over the world. He had plans of invading the US. He wanted the world, not just Europe. But that still doesn't address the scope of the differences. You're comparing apples and oranges. http://www.history.com/this-day-in-history...itler-for-peace The evidence is that Hitler was willing to cut deals with every country who would capitulate. He cut deals with England, France, Russia, etc. FDR then assured Hitler that the U.S. would remain neutral regarding European politics, but that America recognized a responsibility to be involved "as part of a world of neighbors." And you are right, WWII is greater than Syria. But every person matters. Its just like saying "Well killing Jews doesnt matter because there were only a few million of them, we should be concerned with bigger problems" Doesnt work for me. I guess I dont have a good number for when we should start caring.
  19. QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Mar 21, 2013 -> 02:35 PM) Doesn't that include being on the honor roll? Nope. Not one school asked if I was on honor roll. They cared about my gpa/class rank/act/sat and ap tests. Never once was I asked if my gpa was honor roll or not. I know for a fact Illinois doesnt care about honor roll. They simply did an equation based on class rank/act.
  20. It was important to my parents. I really didnt care. I only cared about college entrance requirements.
  21. QUOTE (StrangeSox @ Mar 21, 2013 -> 02:13 PM) OTOH we should always be weary of international interventionism because that leads to incredibly dumb things like Korea, Vietnam and Iraq. Of course, we should be judicious about our resources. But if there is genocide, etc, I believe that it is a good use of our resources to stop it. QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Mar 21, 2013 -> 02:25 PM) The Axis taking over the world had a direct impact on our security and our future prospects globally. An ass-backwards country in the middle east does not. Not really. Had the US wanted it could have likely struck a deal with Germany and Japan, where the US would not get involved. The simple fact is that in 1939 people were saying the exact same thing as Duke. You cant change history, the US participation in WWII was not immediate and both Germany/Japan declared war on the US. If it was entirely about security and taking over the world, the US would have gotten involved as soon as France fell and Western Europe was on the brink.
  22. QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Mar 21, 2013 -> 02:07 PM) The wussification is that the middle school teacher felt compelled to get rid of a ceremony honoring kids for doing well because other kids got sad that they didn't do well. I still think you're completely overblowing those "extras" to grades. Take those away and the bell curve of students isn't going to change. The smart kids are going to stay smart and the dumb kids are going to stay dumb. And even if you have a teacher that never gives an A and is a dick, in the grand scheme those things get averaged out. Im not really overblowing anything 10%+ being homework and participation, just shows that grades are nonsense. They at most should be 1%. I can remember classes where it was something stupid like 20% plus. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Mar 21, 2013 -> 02:17 PM) I'm still going to go ahead and say badger didn't make honor roll. Honor roll at my school was over 3.0., I was in all ap classes, it meant I had to get a C.... That isnt exactly difficult.
  23. Damnit wite, you need to jinx those pittsburgh bastards back into contention.
