  1. QUOTE (2nd_city_saint787 @ Oct 19, 2012 -> 11:33 AM) Alcohol is full of empty calories, while marijuana may give you the munchies (which it doesn't for this guy). The war on marijuana is ridiculous, its a miracle drug. Look up confessions of a medical marijuana patient and then tell me how bad it is. It's not like other prescribed drugs where it can be abused to the point of death. My aches and pains go away when I used it (seriously the last 3 weeks the pain has come back). Your body actually has cannabinoid receptors in the cartilage of ones joints. Educate yourself on the positive effect it has, it's really mind blowing. In case its not clear, Im very pro-legalization.
  2. The movie Super High Me had some interesting tests. Alcohol kills me, Im never normal the next day and my body is all screwed up. When I was in college etc, it never phased me.
  3. That chop block was close. It was right at the waist, not at the knees. They are really wasting a lot of time on all these replays.
  4. Does this mean indiana wins 2 Big 10 games 4 years from now?
  5. Id suggest that your buddy go after her, not her dad. If she would have married him he needs to put up or shut up. He really needs to decide if he wants to be with her for the rest of his life, or if he just wants her now because he cant have her. Its hard to determine right away. I lived with a girl for almost 3 years and never proposed. Had I gotten married wed be divorced and Id be paying her money. Im not huge fan of marriage, itd mainly be for the benefits and ease if I did it.
  6. Just traded a next year 5 for Harvin. What it really means is now AJ Green Counts as a 4th round and RGIII is potentially a 3rd. (For keeper reasons, keeper rules are +1 round from previous years draft, I took Green in the 7th last year and RGIII in 5th this year)
  7. QUOTE (IlliniKrush @ Oct 17, 2012 -> 08:13 PM) It's in the works. Or I should say a huge renovation is. Thats good news for them. Facilities seem to matter in recruiting.
  8. Then scrutinize those actions. Dont waste my time about whether it was called terrorism, terror or a monkey dance. I dont care about semantics. I completely agree with the fact that you catch more flies with honey and I think it does nobody any good to sabre rattle. Would you prefer that he threatened extremists? That doesnt work, look at Israel. Israeli's flat out kill terrorists and terrorists still shoot rockets at them. Words mean s***, I apologize all the time when I dont mean it. Its the path of least resistance. As for Care to find a quote to back up that nonsense? Im pretty sure what most people think is that Muslim Extremists are nothing but a fly and that once in awhile under the perfect circumstances a fly can kill an elephant. It doesnt mean the elephant changes its entire life out of fear, the elephant says f*** it, I cant kill every fly.
  9. How does it compare to WMD in Iraq? People make mistakes, maybe the administration wanted to divert attention from their real investigation so that they could catch the terrorists. This isnt the US where you put out an apb, you have to be way more crafty. Maybe Obama cant talk about it because its a new security strategy and doesnt want to tip off terrorists. If you really think Obama wanted those people to get murdered than make an issue of it. Otherwise it was a mistake, he admitted to it. Its silly. I could explain this away all day if I cared.
  10. Illinois may want to consider a new stadium. Arguably the 3 most consistent teams of the last 10 years or so all have newer facilities. OSU has Value City opened in 1998 Wisconsin has the Kohl opened in 1998 MSU, Breslin Center 1989 Illinois, Assembly Hall 1963.
  11. I dont like any debate where I have to sit on the sidelines.
  12. I guess reading isnt my strong suit.
  13. Heh I was going to start with, I dont want to be preachy, but obviously if I think its necessary to start a post like that a soap box is being brought out. Im not going to judge on how you life your life. I dont care if you do drugs or any of that. But if you recognize something is holding you back, you have to either stop doing it or overcome it. Ive seen people quit smoking so that they can pass a drug test, etc. If that is what is holding you back, find another way to get high that they dont test for, I suggest old fashioned drinking and if you hate to drink, try and get a script from a dr for some anxiety pills etc. Good luck, its tough but sounds like you are taking the first step, which is recognizing you want something different.
  14. I wish I could say that was some clever word play, but it was a German's bombed pearl harbor moment.
  15. QUOTE (Iwritecode @ Oct 17, 2012 -> 11:47 AM) I feel like I'm reading an infomercial. I agree with this message.
  16. QUOTE (Y2HH @ Oct 17, 2012 -> 11:26 AM) That's the problem, there isn't much to discuss other than the failed debates/failed formats since all they did was repeat party platform talking points, over and over, whether questions related to those talking points were posed to them or not. I really want to be involved...so I watch, and I truly try to care about the political future of this country, but all watching does is reenforce the fact that politics/civil political discourse in this country is completely dead and it's become pointless to try to find any substance from these debates. The only outcome after these debates is to repeat the same questions they were asked during the debates...since they don't bother answering them. The reason is because they are going after voters who are wish-washy on their stance. If you are pro-killing babies you likely are not going to vote Republican. If you are pro-govt controlling your sex life over religious reasons you are not going to vote Democrat. There are only a fraction of people who somehow find a way to be unsure on this topic. But neither party really wants to hammer on it, because the trends show that each year its random which is more popular. Same with gay marriage. If you want to let a hippo and rhino marry you probably wont vote Republican. If you want "tradition" and by that I mean only counting 2000 years not 6000, to dictate who can marry, you probably wont vote Democrat. Thus we get stupid arguments about the economy which is nothing but lies. Obama and Romney are not the legislative branch. Neither of them can do s*** when you have guys like Grover Cleveland having people sign tax pledges. That is the reason Romney needs to make his asinine economic plan that does not "raise taxes" because that is okay with Grover. The President is nothing more than a representation of America. And of the 2, Id rather have the outside world see me as a friend of Obama than Romney. The perception of America is all that really changes, the rest is just window dressing.
  17. QUOTE (Y2HH @ Oct 17, 2012 -> 11:17 AM) Why do I seem to be the only person here that thinks these debates have done nothing to answer any questions? As is typical of a modern debate, they only answered questions in a round about way, and often changed the subject on the fly, or spun some tall tale that went from starting to answer the specific question asked of them, to answering a question that was never asked at all... Not to mention, most of these questions were so broad/generalized, that even if they tried to answer them (which they won't), they would have needed 5 minutes, at minimum, to do so. I think this speaks volumes about these tired/failed debate formats. Im not sure many disagree. Ive commented numerous times about how its not really a debate and its more just repeating talking points. Its useless to attack the format as its not going to change, at least not for this election. So might as well just discuss what did happen because that is all we are going to get. These debates do not do much for me, as neither candidate is likely going to convince me to change my opinion. But there are a certain percentage of the population who can be influenced by repeating phrases etc, so we get to watch 2 people pander to that group.
  18. I thought you admitted you were trolling before. Are you already flipping on that position?
  19. These poll stats are hilarious. CNN has obama winning by 8% overall (who won) But in basically every individual category Romney is winning. So I guess they just dont like Romney because it seems they are buying what hes selling.
  20. Kerry on CNN made a point that Obama never can think of, Romney keeps telling us about how you made MA great, but why arent they going to vote for you.
  21. QUOTE (Cknolls @ Oct 16, 2012 -> 09:55 PM) That is my point. If they felt/knew it was terrorism, why send the UN ambassador out five days later on every Sunday morning show to say otherwise. If you reallycare somuch about intelligence failures, I seriously hope you didnt vote for Bush after 9/11, Iraq etc. People make mistakes, who cares either way. If that is the reason you dont want vote for someone, so be it.
  22. Wow Obamas final answer was a complete dick move, really didnt answer and just railed Romney.
  23. lol according to Romney Canada is a better placeto starta business than the US just because of taxes. He has no clue.
  24. Have 50% of the people been Jewish or other minority? This is crazy.
  25. if you could get people to agree to it youd be for it. She is out of line, Romney got to her.
