Because the NCAA only cares about self interest. If you give athletes money its harder to control them. If you keep athletes out of college you cant make money off of them. In a normal world youd imagine that academic cheating would be worse than illegal benefits, but money is what runs NCAA sports.

Some one asked if Miami won 4 of 5 championships would it ruin the NBA, the answer is no. Reffing is what ruins the NBA, it has nothing to do with the players on the court. If Miami earned 5 championships, I have no problem with that. I just dont believe they are good enough to do it. Lebron is the best player in the league, but Im thinking 2-3 is far more reasonable over the next 5 seasons.

Id wager a lot of money Heat dont win 5 championships in a row starting today.

Dear Van Gundy, No one cares Lebron went to a different city, but I think we can all agree that it would be pretty classless if I left my employer wondering for months if I was going to return and had a national press conference about how I was taking my talents to another place. But its not unprecedented, Humber also has had significantly less opportunity. Hes only pitched 111 innings, and 60 of those are this year. Quite possibly he could have done well had he been given the chance. Its not like we are talking hundreds of innings of bad results, hed only had 2 starts before this year.
