Let's go Freddy. By the way, did you see the quote from an unamed Sox player calling A-Rod's play on Monday night "bush"? I'm so glad that plunked that tool.
That unnamed player was Konerko.

Nope, they will rule its unintentional. But if Jose even farts the wrong way he will be rung. Atkins will be in this game.
I agree. They'll say Chacon lost his grip or something.
QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Aug 9, 2005 -> 11:52 AM)
Neither of those teams needs a bat. They are both fairly desperate for pitching...both starting and relief for the Yankees and relief in particular for the BoSox.
If it's someone who'd obviously fill a need for either team they might grab them, but in a lot of cases, there's no good reason for them to make a pickup.
You know the Red Sox are in need of serious bullpen help when they pick up Mike Remlinger. Hitting is the least of their worries, anyway.
Now back to the Game Thread.....
I was very surprised w/how El Duque pitched last night. Considering how that 1st inning went. If not for Aaron, it could have been a lot worse. If Contreras gives up 3 runs or less, the Sox will be in good shape.

That's f***ing horses***. Now I really hope we hit one of their players...and hard. It would've been sweet for Jenks to throw some heat at Arod's melon yesterday.
f***ing Yankee fan. :finger
I actually was hoping for Jenks to drill Sheffield. I hate that jag more than anyone on the Yanks.
Relief Pitchers who have won the Cy Young:

1987 Steve Bedrosian Philadelphia

I'm sure he'll be back. At least I hope so. Going to a new station, rated #1 in the AL among radio broadcasters. It would make sense. Then again, money talks.
It is the smart way to go. Needing 52 HRs for 500, and with his foot/ankle a question mark the rest of the way, he would need at least 2 or maybe even 3 seasons to accomplish it. I don't think the Sox would commit to him for that long.
The way his #'s stand he a 1st balloter right now anyway.
