  1. Dye, Dye, Dye... can't hit him in the three spot anymore.
  2. can't pop up it up on the infield like that, come on Scott.
  3. QUOTE(greasywheels121 @ Oct 12, 2005 -> 10:52 PM) I do know better. I've kept my mouth shut for a long time, but I just don't understand why you keep coming back. You constantly just post that White Sox fans are awful, classless, etc. No one's forcing you to come here. If you don't like it, you don't have to post here. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I don't post that White Sox fans are awful and classless, ever. I do think there are some, just like every other fan base, but the pros outweigh the cons on this board. As for this post. You completely, 100%, misinterpreted it.
  4. QUOTE(greasywheels121 @ Oct 12, 2005 -> 10:26 PM) Since every White Sox fan ever started s*** w/ DP. GMAFB. You hate being typecasted into some of things people say about Boston fans. Yet, all you do is continually typecast ALL White Sox fans by continually saying we are classless, and you still come back. It's getting tired. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I told myself the first person to misinterpret it, the post would be edited. Thats not what I meant by it, you should know better.
  5. Chicago Tribune: Apparently the White Sox are not alone in their relative anonymity. Sox Chairman Jerry Reinsdorf decided to test the theory recently by going undercover at U.S. Cellular Field, according to the CHICAGO TRIBUNE. "This last homestand, I put on a security jacket and a security hat, and nobody knew who I was," Reinsdorf said before Tuesday's Game 1 loss in the American League Championship Series. "Except one guy came up to me and pointed at me and said, 'You're uh, uh … oh, never mind,' and he walked away." Reinsdorf apparently has no ego about his lack of recognition. When the team recently was received by a crowd of Sox fans at Midway Airport after returning from Boston, Reinsdorf got a similar reaction. "I was the first car out, and people were waving," he recalled. "Then, when they saw it was me, they stopped, they quieted down, let me go by and they waited for the real heroes." *** I didn't see this posted. Is it that people don't know who he is, or that people simply don't care for him?
  6. QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Oct 12, 2005 -> 04:25 AM) At this point i think you guys need to just agree to disagree. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> It'll continue in PM form. EDIT: Actually, there is no need to argue. I am satisfied with laughing at this quote:
  7. QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Oct 12, 2005 -> 04:11 AM) To be honest it really doesn't matter. Battle for third place in the al? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> See above post.
  8. QUOTE(SSH2005 @ Oct 12, 2005 -> 04:11 AM) The Yankees made it a 5-game series against a good team. The Red Sox got swept and looked terrible while doing it. There's no doubt which team was better. Pitching wins in the playoffs and the Red Sox had a weak rotation and the second worst bullpen in the entire MLB. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> It can be argued in many ways. For instance the Red Sox spent half the amount of money the Yankees did, but the question is irrelevant. they had the same record and were eliminated in the same round of the playoffs.
  9. QUOTE(SSH2005 @ Oct 12, 2005 -> 04:07 AM) Obviously, the Padres were the worst team in the playoffs. The Red Sox have a great offense but the Yankees also have a good offense and a much, much better pitching staff than the Red Sox. The Red Sox were the second worst team in the playoffs in my opinion. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Identical records, both lost in the first round of the playoffs. I don't know, thats an argument for another forum I'd imagine.
  10. a heavy bias towards pitching isn't a bad thing, clearly. both teams who had none are at home.
  11. Interesting, I tend to agree with you on pretty much all accounts, however I disagree that the Red Sox were even close to the worst team to make the playoffs this year or ever as you seem to say. That would go to the Padres or Yankees.
  12. Jason, you don't think the Angels have the talent to be here? I think once again, the Championship series' have the two best teams in there respective leagues facing off. No?
  13. QUOTE(IlliniKrush @ Oct 12, 2005 -> 03:37 AM) Hindsight is 20/20. Who really know what it was. I'm not gonna give em a pass on that excuse though. Not when you can't get signs from Cora, can't get a bunt down, etc. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I'm not looking in hindsight, just trying to fathom how a team can look so good one day and so poor the next day.
  14. Being as hot as this team was, and resting for days, might have been a bad thing rather than a good thing as everybody thought.
  15. The White Sox had there chances. Not much else you can say here. Go get em' tommorow...
  16. Figgins with another blunder in these playoffs..
