Harold Reynolds goes from picking the White Sox to finish in fourth place in the division to being the American League champions in six over Anaheim.

Spanks vs Angels game 5
It will be interesting to see just how much heat slappy takes tommorow and beyond. Yankee fans want him gone.

Krod with a couple brews in his hand. drink up, Angels.

Rodriguez looked beatable there. Soxtalks MVP Alex Rodriguez grounds into the double play, and really was the story of the series. Either way, the Angels will be awfully tired this series. Go White Sox.

Jerseys from TTS
Any reason why they didnt have the same offer for the away greys? That was upsetting as I was really looking for one of those.

QUOTE(santo=dorf @ Oct 10, 2005 -> 10:14 PM) I still hate the Red Sox, and I think their team wouldn't have been in the playoffs if it weren't for the Sox. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Fine by me. There are ways of saying you dont like the Red Sox, and ways not to. Thats all.

Mariotti today on Around the Horn during the "welcome" portion of the show hid and goes "White Sox fans are trying to kill me, I need to look out" or something of that sort. I think he was watching out for you, Nuke.

QUOTE(hammerhead johnson @ Oct 10, 2005 -> 09:41 PM) I'm sure he knows. He just doesn't put a whole lot of thought into his posts. In the big picture, this dude is a White Sox fan that lives in the Chicagoland area, and yet, he is genuinely upset that we advanced! And what's worse? He'll act like he doesn't know/understand what I'm talking about. I don't make one iota of sense!!! <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I put plenty of thought into my posts, all you put in your posts is words in my mouth that I didn't infact say. that isn't the big picture at all, I am happy for the White Sox, and for most White Sox fans for that matter. and for the record, I haven't read one of your posts that has had any relevance to the thread at hand. Even this post, what are you trying to prove? what is your point? do you have one?

QUOTE(tonyho7476 @ Oct 10, 2005 -> 08:40 PM) Red and White...how do you have this love for both teams? Where do you live now? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Ha, oh dear god. Northern suburbs of Chicago, about 40 minutes from US Cellular. I grew up in Wellesley, MA and my dad still lives there. I moved here when my parents got divorced just a few years ago.

If the Yankees win tonight, all I will say is that, if you thought Chris Berman was bad...

QUOTE(RockRaines @ Oct 10, 2005 -> 08:33 PM) There is the key. How many RED SOX fans have you really dealt with? Probably not too many as a majority of them in this area are cubs fans wearing a Red Sox hat after last year. It skews your perception a bit. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Good post. It was literally unbelievable seeing more and more people with Red Sox apparel last year. It makes me sick, to this day.

QUOTE(RockRaines @ Oct 10, 2005 -> 08:26 PM) the best quote is "the nail in the coffin, they have balls, we dont" in response to the squeeze play with AJP. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> This years Red Sox team didn't have the resiliency that the 03 and 04 versions had, saying anything different would be foolish and I completely agree with whomever said the White Sox were ballsy.

what happened to the "f*** THE RED SOX, RED SOX TAKE IT UP THE BUTT, RED SOX ARE GAY, f*** f*** f*** f*** AHHH" type posts spewing from peoples mouths? I like you Rock, I really do.

Dirty play by Virginia's OL Butler
As a Boston College fan, seeing this on saturday to one of my favorites made me sick to my stomach. The guy looks around, looks at Kiwi's leg, and chop blocks him. He should be suspended, pathetic.

EAT SHIT CHRIS BERMAN!!!!!!!!!!
QUOTE(SSH2005 @ Oct 8, 2005 -> 09:30 PM) Once again, like many have already said, just because you are a fan of a certain team doesn't mean you can't do your job properly without rooting for that team. It's called professionalism. Berman has none. There's a reason Hawk will never do another national broadcast again. He admits his bias towards the White Sox and he'd rather just do local broadcasts and be able to root for his team. Hawk said this on Mike North the other morning. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Being bias or not, Berman isn't a good announcer and that isn't his job. He's an analyst, and should be nothing more as evident by this series.

Johnny Damon's classless postgame comments
QUOTE(SoxFan101 @ Oct 8, 2005 -> 05:17 PM) RedandWhite Carlos Lee got a lot of heat here just for watching his HR instead of running right away so what do you think people are going to think of Manny standing there taking off his gloves and so one.......... I personally dont mind much but I guess it really ticks some people off. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> The ball curved right around the pole. Just as people here can say AJ stepping on Boone wasn't intentional, I could just as easily say he was adjusting his gloves because he thought it was going foul. People just seem to overanalyze stuff like this.

EAT SHIT CHRIS BERMAN!!!!!!!!!!
What is so hard to understand with this situation? Chris Berman is a Red Sox fan. Blame ESPN for assigning him to the White Sox series, not Berman for being himself.
