QUOTE(SleepyWhiteSox @ Oct 6, 2005 -> 01:58 AM) It was an honest question. I wasn't trying to be rude...just wasn't sure why you referred to some posters as jackasses when you should expect to get some s*** for rooting for the opposing team. And as far as calling me a pathetic turd...I'll just let it go. Maybe you're upset about the loss. I would appreciate it if you not call me names, though. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Honest question or not, it was a stupid one, and one that I have been asked numerous times. This place is full of them, and I really have no desire to congratulate them. I'd rather congratulate the posters who deserve it instead.

QUOTE(fathom @ Oct 6, 2005 -> 01:58 AM) Man, if only the White Sox had Bellhorn, they would have won tonight's game so easily. You're a good poster, but I think you're just a little upset tonight. You might want to watch what you say before you get suspended. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I don't think what I said was suspension worthy, it was a truthful statement, but i'll keep the head up. thanks.

QUOTE(SleepyWhiteSox @ Oct 6, 2005 -> 01:52 AM) You do realize it's a White Sox board, right? I still don't get who told you we wanted a red sox fan's point of view. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> No, in my two years of being on this board it never occurred to me I was on a White Sox board. You are one pathetic turd.
-
QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Oct 6, 2005 -> 01:50 AM) Jenks usually does that...he loses like 2 mph in his 2nd inning but he still has good power...he can kick it up to 96 or 97 for 1 or 2 pitches if he needs to but he holds it steady at 95 or above. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> don't reply to my post, you're one of the jackasses.
-
Couldn't ask for anything more out of Graffanino after the botched Uribe grounder. Jenks was down from a consistent 98 in the 8th to 95 in the 9th, he was hittable. Damon, Renteria both just looked terrible. For the third straight year on the brink of elimination. Congratulations and good luck.. atleast to the people on this board who arent jackasses.

QUOTE(Buehrle>Wood @ Oct 5, 2005 -> 08:22 PM) Because fans want curtain calls. It's as simple as that. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I don't think its that simple.
-
QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Oct 5, 2005 -> 08:21 PM) Something smells all right, except I can't quite place it... it's almost like something from under a bridge... <{POST_SNAPBACK}> is this a Dave Matthews bash?
-
Thanks greasy, ss2k5.

QUOTE(~~HighHeat45~~ @ Oct 4, 2005 -> 11:04 PM) Trying to find all your embarrasing posts about the white sox's offense being no match for bostons so you can erase them? They turned it off to make the board run smoother, because the board was going really really slow at one time and they found out too many searches were being done or somthing. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Ha, I don't think I ever said the White Sox were no match for the Red Sox, and its actually for another reason.
-
QUOTE(YASNY @ Oct 5, 2005 -> 10:25 AM) Skating away on the thin ice of a new day. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Again, what are you talking about?
-
While it was a great moment in White Sox history, one of the best infact, how do you explain the ten curtain calls? Why doesn't that drive you nuts? I smell a double standard.
-
QUOTE(YASNY @ Oct 5, 2005 -> 04:10 PM) Well, Redandwhite was right about one thing ... Clement wasn't half as "good" as he's been in the second half. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> What? I found it hard to believe in a playoff game that he would be as bad as he was. Now I believe it. So whats the big deal? :headshake
-
QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Oct 4, 2005 -> 11:54 PM) Happy Bday. Hopefully everything else went well for ya today (asides from the game) and I hope the rest of the games this round don't treat ya too well either <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Thank you so much haha
-
Oh. SoSH seems to be congratulating the White Sox in there first postseason win since 59 and then finishing with, you win tommorow and go back to Fenway with a chance to win the series. So all is well. Although I thought this post was funny:
-
QUOTE(kapkomet @ Oct 4, 2005 -> 11:08 PM) Now that's one I'll agree with you on. But DOH, we hate ALL Red Sox right now. So quit asking stupid ass questions. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Oh yes, all hail kapko...
-
QUOTE(DonkeyKongerko @ Oct 4, 2005 -> 11:08 PM) Because he f***ing kills us. I hate Mike Sweeney and Joe Randa too. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I use the word hate for players like Alex Rodriguez who I don't respect, for players like Derek Jeter it's different. I was just curious.
-
QUOTE(kapkomet @ Oct 4, 2005 -> 11:06 PM) We're lucky f'ers I'm sure. Just one game. Thing is, it is. We need to come back tomorrow like nobody's business. Remember the Yankmees last year. I ain't confident until the last out of the third winning game in this series is DONE. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Exactly. While its obviously dissapointing, the series and season is far from over.
-
QUOTE(DonkeyKongerko @ Oct 4, 2005 -> 11:06 PM) Man I hate Jon Olerud. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> He's been a class act for years, how can you hate him?
-
QUOTE(RockRaines @ Oct 4, 2005 -> 11:02 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Ha, I don't get it.
-
QUOTE(~~HighHeat45~~ @ Oct 4, 2005 -> 10:52 PM) Damn I wish we had Tony Graffanino right now, we need his amazing offensive skills in a game like this. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I can't wait until the search feature comes back up. What a change a week makes. :headshake As for the game, this ones over, has been since Clement took the mound, game two tommorow.
-
Where did the search feature go? It is vital for any board.
-
Thank goodness for Joe Crede or this game could have just gotten out of reach. This is batting practice, not bringing both DiNardo and Gonzalez along for the ride could come back to hurt.
-
I guess the gameplan is to pitch away from Ortiz not high and in as you all seemed to think.
-
QUOTE(fathom @ Oct 4, 2005 -> 07:29 PM) Because I'd honestly rather just enjoy the games. I love the game threads, but it often times prevents me from just enjoying the games. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> it took you eleven thousand posts to realize this?

QUOTE(Mercy! @ Oct 4, 2005 -> 08:38 AM) Don’t know if its true, but I’ve heard one story that his mother was buried with a White Sox cap in her casket. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I saw her get buried, I can vouge for you.
