  1. QUOTE(3E8 @ Sep 28, 2005 -> 09:04 PM) That was me just trying to be humorous. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> ha i figured that.
  2. QUOTE(greasywheels121 @ Sep 28, 2005 -> 08:31 PM) White Sox fans won't have much pity for the situation. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> i'm not asking for pity, i just would like to hear peoples reasoning, especially White Sox fans, considering all anyone seems to say around here is that the "media" is bias towards the Yankees and Red Sox.
  3. QUOTE(3E8 @ Sep 28, 2005 -> 08:30 PM) A RED SOX FAN HIT SHEFFIELD?!?!?! <{POST_SNAPBACK}> it looked unintentional, as if he was reaching over to go for the ball down in the corner.
  4. Why is it that in Boston a fan reaches onto the playing field its a huge deal, Sheffield is commended for "restraining" himself, the man's season tickets are taken from him, etc. yet... last night a fan decked out in Yankee gear, punches/swipes/grabs Newhan, with the clear intention to get the ball out of his glove and into the stands at all costs, and it isn't news.
  5. QUOTE(qwerty @ Sep 27, 2005 -> 07:55 AM) Do you know how many tall dopey white guys are floating around? They will have no problem filling up centers and power forwards. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> how many tall dopey white guys got drafted in the last two seasons, signed a contract with an NBA team, and would be eligible to play in the league? There are plenty out there, but they aren't going to play for chump change that wouldn't even compare to what they'd get overseas. There is no ifs, ands, or buts about it. The league will be flooded with guards and small forwards.
  6. the nba is so far behind in terms of its minor league development, its sickening. the nbdl is supposed to emulate the nba in terms of play, but I just don't see that happening considering all of the teams will be filled with guards and small forwards.
  7. QUOTE(Brian @ Sep 26, 2005 -> 03:06 AM) New Trier vs. Waukegan should be a running clock fairly early. Have to follow Waukegan for work and they blow at every aspect of the game. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> New Trier will potentially be 5-1 going into the Maine South game at home. Maybe I was right about New Trier having a chance at state...
  8. QUOTE(Tony82087 @ Sep 26, 2005 -> 01:35 AM) And you wonder why people "pick fights" with you.... :banghead :banghead <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Its hard not to be outspoken when you see something like that.
  9. QUOTE(That funky motion @ Sep 26, 2005 -> 12:59 AM) It does hate you! It called me last night and told me. It also said in the locker room it is big papi and Ortiz is little papi! <{POST_SNAPBACK}> That is the stupidest thing I have heard today.
  10. Happy birthday, beautiful. Even the best fall down sometimes Even the wrong words seem to ryhme Out of the doubt that fills your mind You finally find You and I collide Thats some Howie Day, you know it. Yes, im drunk.
  11. QUOTE(greasywheels121 @ Sep 23, 2005 -> 03:14 AM) Rally Crede > Rest of the offense <{POST_SNAPBACK}> wait a few days, he'll come back down to earth.
  12. Ozzie looked like he was going to cry in that postgame interview..
  13. Fathom sucks... sorry buddy, just taking advantage of being on that other side for a change.
  14. QUOTE(DonkeyKongerko @ Sep 23, 2005 -> 03:19 AM) I'm making an offseason shopping list for Kenny, feel free to add anything: Heart Balls Courage Passion <{POST_SNAPBACK}> -players who can get on base or do anything for that matter
  15. QUOTE(whitesoxfan13 @ Sep 23, 2005 -> 03:16 AM) Todd Hollandsworth > our entire offense. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Todd Mulletsworth isn't with the Cubs anymore.
  16. QUOTE(Jordan4life_2005 @ Sep 23, 2005 -> 03:15 AM) LMAO. Fathom, why does everybody get mad at you? There's like 30 other people in here, including me, dissing this team to hell. Yet, it all comes back to you. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Thats because I'm on my dinner break.
  17. QUOTE(fathom @ Sep 23, 2005 -> 03:15 AM) Yeah, Mark Bellhorn <{POST_SNAPBACK}> He's only had 13 at-bats with New York, I still believe he could have helped.
  18. has the trade deadline passed? are there any good free agents?
  19. QUOTE(WSoxMatt @ Sep 23, 2005 -> 03:11 AM) Then go watch the f***ing Cubs <{POST_SNAPBACK}> playoff race or not, the Cubs at this point might be the better team.
  20. it's been the offense all year, there's no reason to disect this any further.
  21. It's all about the offense. If the offense performs, and the defense is acceptable, I think this team succeeds and stumbles there way into the playoffs. Otherwise, they'll be lucky to win another game this season.
  22. Bill Mueller will cost a ton of money? I can't imagine a team giving him more than two million dollars over two seasons, possibly 2.5
