Did ESPN ever make a college football game ? -
I think he meant it as like Dale Earnhardt is to Nascar what Micheal Jordan is to basketball.
-
I agree they should move on but still the movie was awesome for ESPN and the crap they put out sometimes.
-
I ask the same thing. People are murdered every day so why the hell are we more concerned with this one over the rest is beyond me.

Good to hear

I thought it was a good movie and it ended nicely. The 3 car was probably a replica car because im sure the newer modeled Chevys are being used by the RCR teams still. Earnhardt and all Nascar drivers dont have one car they have like 15 or whatever so its not like there was just 1 number 3 car that Dale used.
-
Im not Earnhardt fan either but it is cool seeing how far Nascar has come along and see the old guys out there battling it out. Also heres Nascar.coms review http://www.nascar.com/2004/news/opinion/12...view/index.html

If you have ESPN Classic you should watch some of the old races. Their showing Earnhardts greatest races Thursday through Saturday and its pretty good.
-
At first the movie looked like it was gonna suck but the more I see the commercials for it im starting to think itll be pretty good.

Bears Sign Alex Brown to a 5 Year Extension
Confederate_48 replied to Chisoxfn's topic in Alex’s Olde Tyme Sports Pub
At least we can look forward to having a good defense for a few years to come Brown's signing means that the Bears' young emerging defense will remain intact for the foreseeable future. Other key players under contract for the next several years include Brian Urlacher (2011), Adewale Ogunleye (2009), Mike Brown (2008), Tommie Harris (2008) and Charles Tillman (2007). -

Angelo has done a good job of locking up the key guys on defense if only he could get some people on offense -
I read somewhere that Portis has decommited from Utah and would not follow Meyer to ND. His top choices now are Maryland and Kansas State.
-
Yeah I hated the game at first because the passing was hard but I got used to it and now I can pass pretty good so the games awesome.

And concerning Zook on ESPNNEWS they said Zook is on the Illinois campus today talking to them about their job opening.

November 30, 2004 Willingham Steps Down; Is Meyer Next? -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Lou Somogyi BlueandGold.com Associate Editor ESPN announced at 1:30 p.m. EST this afternoon that Tyrone Willingham will not return as Notre Dame’s head coach in 2005. Speculation centered on current Utah head coach Urban Meyer, an Irish assistant from 1996-2000 who has a Notre Dame clause in his contract, as the top candidate to replace Willingham. Willingham is only the second non-interim Notre Dame coach to hold the position only three years. The other was Hunk Anderson (1931-33). Perhaps not coincidentally, Anderson and Willingham are the only two Notre Dame coaches to lose each of their first three games against archrival USC. Willingham lost his third straight by 31 points to the Trojans this past weekend. Willingham’s three-year record of 21-15 (.583) is virtually identical to the three-year marks posted by Gerry Faust (18-15-1) and Bob Davie (21-16) after their third seasons with the Irish. More distressing was the lack of appreciable progress after an 8-0 start his first year. Since then, Notre Dame is 13-15. Moreover, the Irish have lost eight games by 21 points or more under Willingham. Faust and Davie combined for just seven such losses in their 10 years combined. After last year’s 5-7 debacle, Notre Dame only managed a 6-5 mark this year, including a loss at 5-6 BYU to open the season and home losses to Big East foes Boston College and Pittsburgh. Although the Irish did upset two Top 10-ranked teams in Michigan and Tennessee, the frustrating losses overshadowed the dramatic victories. Sources indicated that Willingham and his family were unhappy in South Bend and were looking for opportunities elsewhere. A news conference is scheduled to be held at the University at 4:00 p.m. EST.
