Why do people quote things and change words, you can make a point without coming off as an asshole.

QUOTE (Soxbadger @ Nov 7, 2012 -> 08:19 PM) So does a popular governor vote make no sense because we have counties? I never said the electoral college was perfect, just nationwide as long as states have their own government a popular vote isn't a better solution.
-
QUOTE (RockRaines @ Nov 7, 2012 -> 06:31 PM) Because once you get rid of the states powers the only thing that matters is each person's vote. So everyone is valued the same regardless of state, creed, race, income level etc. Smaller states have the same say because the power is with the individual not the state. Yeah but nobody is going to agree to get rid of states having their own identity and I wouldn't be for that either, it is nice you can live in the same country but find an area that is more suited for your beliefs or whatever reason. As long as we have state governments which is going to be for the foreseeable future a popular vote doesn't make any sense.

I can understand people wanting to get rid of the EC. But, how can anyone argue that going to popular vote someone in a state like North Dakota would be worth more. The EC benefits the smaller states and gives them more of a say than their population does. I don't think the EC is perfect but popular vote isn't the answer be open to hearing other ideas to replace it.

QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Nov 7, 2012 -> 01:53 PM) Those are actually rather awful. The Cardinals and Saints logos are pretty good. I also like the Jaguars one on the AFC side.

QUOTE (Disco72 @ Nov 5, 2012 -> 07:25 PM) Watched it last night. That last guy was a complete idiot! I've never seen a guy talk himself out of money like that guy did. Yeah same, it was unbelievable what he was saying. That being said, I bet being in that situation is a lot of pressure.

QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Nov 5, 2012 -> 06:41 PM) You are writing off Carimi way too soon and to be honest, Webb hasn't been a major problem. The key is the development of the two of them and improved guard play. The stupid penalties are ridiculous though. Obviously, I would love a franchise LT though. I think the guards are the only part of our OL that have been adequate. They haven't been perfect but I'm a big Lance Louis fan and Rachal on the other side seems to be playing pretty well this season. Garza has been weak this season and Carimi has probably been the worst member of a bad O-Line this season. Webb has been passable as of late but the guy is always due to have a terrible game and get blown up... I don't think it would be hard to find an upgrade over him.

QUOTE (RZZZA @ Nov 5, 2012 -> 05:29 PM) I agree that Jay needs to stop getting hit unnecessarily. And he's not been that good throwing on the move this year, I remember him being much better at that. He should watch the game film of him last year vs Detroit when we beat them. He had incredible pocket awareness that game.

QUOTE (DrunkBomber @ Nov 5, 2012 -> 01:59 PM) 1 point for every 4 carries and length of touchdown bonus. 3 of Martins TDs were from 60 yards plus. The scoring is stupid in this league though, FGs of 50+ are worth anything from 12 to 24 points depending on the length. I hate ridic. scoring leagues like that. I'm good with 10 yards rushing/receiving is 1 point and touchdowns are 6..... keeps the points reasonable.

QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Nov 5, 2012 -> 01:19 PM) I have a hard time calling them the best team in football. Not when the offensive line is so inconsistent. It really is bad when it comes to pass protection. The penalties were awful and completely prevented them from getting any rhythm on certain drives. 3 of the 1st 4 drives you had big penalties that prevented them from getting going. Cutler settled in and had a great game. It is just frustrating the last 2 weeks we came out running great and Tice has gotten pass happy. To start the season i was worried about us being run heavy but Forte is not getting nearly enough carries per game. The guy is avg. near 5 yards a carry let him make the defense stack the box than go to the pass and open it up, it will make the O-line play better and prevent Cutler from early trouble and give our defense some time to get a breath. Going to be a good matchup next week with Arian Foster vs our run defense... CJ was on fire and we controlled him, not counting his 80 yard run vs backups.

QUOTE (Jake @ Nov 5, 2012 -> 12:35 PM) The Bears' problem with the Packers is their pass rush. The inability to deal with the pass rush from an OL, QB, and scheme standpoint make it more or less impossible to really say whether the other aspects of those teams really matter. Hopefully by the next GB game Mike Tice learns things like the three step drop, the run play on first down, etc. If Mike Tice would just be more committed to the run game early I think that would help offense A LOT

I'm really worried in Walking Dead that Rick is going to be annoying as hell now for the rest of the season.

QUOTE (bmags @ Nov 5, 2012 -> 11:42 AM) I don't understand leagues that could have a team with 2 starting RBs on their bench. Well Doug Martin was available later than most RB's and in a lot of league's leshoure wasn't drafted at all so it could happen. What I don't understand is after last week how anyone could have benched Doug Martin.
-
Also Rodgers probably has had some of his worst games against the Bears and that is with our offense being completely useless and turnover prone.... I'm worried about our offensive tackles in that matchup more than I am Rodgers.
-
QUOTE (iamshack @ Nov 5, 2012 -> 09:47 AM) I had a 6 team parlay for fun...hit the first 5 in the morning...had the Raiders in the afternoon -2....then they allowed Doug Martin to run through them like it was a high school game...$1500 down the drain...boo hoo. Just curious how much did you bet into that?
-
Well that is 6 straight pass attempts, back to back games we start game looking like the running game be decent and we passaholic.
-
Running the ball well so lets pass 3 straight downs and punt lol......
-
I really hate the Bears TE's.... I hope this off-season we bring in an actual contributor for that position.

QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Nov 2, 2012 -> 09:03 PM) Anybody watch Shark Tank? That last guy was interesting... Yeah I'm a big fan but usually end up watching it on Sunday.

Is it next year the Bulls get the Bobcats pick no matter what or year after next?

QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Nov 2, 2012 -> 08:08 PM) Bulls will be lucky to be the #8 seed Sarcasm? I think they are easy 5-6.

QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Nov 1, 2012 -> 02:11 PM) Can't get NBA Gametime with my cable, but I get my cable free at my apartment. So I can live with NBA League Pass and MLB.tv (MLB wins for PS3 integration, broadcast options). If it's $38M with incentives, it's bad. If it's $32 with incentives, it's good. Not sure, you are only person I have seen say anything negative about the contract. He would have got more in free agency and he will probably be a starter next season so I'm good with it.
-
QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Nov 1, 2012 -> 12:52 AM) Bulls Heat Lakers Celtics Thunder Scratch the Celtics and insert one of the Rockets, Clippers, or any other team one would find interesting for whatever reason and it is a good list.

QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Oct 31, 2012 -> 10:38 PM) That is a bad, bad contract. He wanted somewhere in the 40's and probably would have got it in free agency.
