  1. He has hit way over his head thus far in the majors. If he could hit .290 over a full season in the majors he would have not been in the minors for ten years.
  2. Are you saying burke would hit .290 over a full season? Because i think he would hit more in the .260 range honestly.
  3. Apparently he does not have the skill to hit .275 in any other year since he is a .265 minor league hitter. 2003 was a fluke.
  4. He had a .379 obp in his fluke year and had a .313 era last year. Last year is more the type of hitter he is than 2003.
  5. Even more so. Do you think he is really a .331 hitter? He is a career .279 hitter in the minors, and he first came up when he was thirty one. I am not saying he cannot be a decent back-up in the majors just nothing overally great.
  6. Pod is a good player but in my opinion he is not a lead-off hitter unless he can get his obp up to about .340-.350. I would actually prefer a lead-off hitter to have a better obp but he does not need one as high because he is so dangerous with his speed, unlike willie. They are both numbe nine hitters until proven otherwise imo.
  7. Flukes happen, what can i tell you.
  8. Once more he is a career .265 hitter in the minors. Don't see him doing much better than that in the majors.
  9. No, he is a career .265 hitter in the minors. http://www.sports-wired.com/players/profile.asp?Name=HFIG
  10. I agree about podsednik his 2003 season was a fluke, he was never even that good of a hitter in his minor league career. No reason to believe he will suddenly get better in the majors.
  11. If just the signing of wright is truthful i will be satisfied for today.
  12. If he had castillo and podsednik batting 1-2 in the line-up i do not know many teams that can touch that. We woulkd still have possibly six 25 homerun guys still.
  13. Wait until it is confirmed to say this.
  14. Holy f***ing s*** is all i have to say if this is true.
  15. Number one hated announcer for me and a close second is bill walton. :puke
  16. He really needs to post more often. BB.
  17. That was just a terrible sign by the reds though. You do not give paul wilson that much money, basically it was his best year of his career and he has never pitched 200 innings in a season. If they were not so desperate for pitching they would have never signed him for that much.
  18. I think it did have something to do with it, didn't the sox hit a team record 242 home runs this year without half a season of thomas and a half of season without ordonez?
